I hear people rave about cava but I just don't think the food tastes good, at all. I got the Greek chicken pita and it was sopping wet with dressing, the chicken was kinda gross, had several grisly pieces and it reminded me of an MRE in the military. I tasted my kid's steak and it tasted horrible, I had to spit it out. The rice was over cooked, didn't taste good. The only good things I had were the pita chips, and the diet Mexican cola. Paid over $60 for two adult meals and two kid meals and I barely ate my food and my kids barely ate because it just didn't taste good. Blagh. Just in town for a few days and tried this place out. It's like a middle eastern chipotle. I ordered a bowl with arugula and black lentils. They have an entire back wall of all different types of greens you can pick from. It was amazing! For starch is brown or white rice or black lentils. You get to choose 3 types of dips/hummus. I got regular hummus, red pepper hummus, and the fully loaded feta. All were so tasty. I chose the falafel for protein. I was able to try the shredded lamb which was delicious with a little bit of spicy. If I didn't know any better I would have thought it was shredded pork. Then you get all you can pick toppings. Avocado was extra. I got cucumbers, pickled red onions, fried won ton chips, corn, and Cesar tahini. All of the flavors together were absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed my meal. ***the falafel was good. However, I like mine to be crunchy on the outside and softer on the inside. The ones here are not like that. They had no crunch. That being said they did taste good but I wasn't a huge fan of the texture. I will be coming back for sure and highly recommend. read more

I'm obsessed with this place!! I want to eat it again tomorrow. This is like a quick service restaurant where you line up and go down the assembly line. Similar to Chipotle or Qdoba. Everyone was very friendly as I walked in! I ordered a bowl that consisted of arugula, saffron basmati rice, grilled chicken (WHICH IS ALWAYS JUICY AND SOFT), crazy feta, hummus, romaine lettuce, corn, cucumbers, feta crumbles, garlic dressing and harissa vinaigrette. The portions are so generous, I can split the meal in half! Everything is so flavorful and delicious. This is what other places want to be lol. I was a bit skeptical at first because I never had Mediterranean food before and didn't know what to expect/what flavor is good or not. EVERYTHING HITS. This place is so freaking good! This is my 2nd time going to CAVA and my first visit at the Norman location. I left this review for the OKC location but much of the same applies for here. I did adjust the review as needed. The picture below is from my first bowl but my bowl for this review looked just like this! I get the green and grains bowl and just start adding away! I love the tzatziki dip, the hummus, and roasted red pepper hummus, and feta. I love to add the pickled onions they're so crunchy and delicious, cucumbers, olives, feta cheese, pita strips, and corn. This time around I got extra olives, feta crumbles, and corn. It was so good. I won't do extra olives again because it made things a little too salty. Garlic dressing, yogurt dill, and lemon herb tahini are my favorite dressings. This time the dressings were added to the bowl and not put in cups on the side, but I loved it! You absolutely have to add pita crisps. They are crunchy and soft to chew with amazing flavor. I ordered grilled chicken and then it's no extra cost for that meat like it is for some of the others. Prepare to drop a good $20 if you come here and want pita crisps and a delicious lemonade, I recommend original. This time I tried lavender blueberry and I wasn't that crazy about it. I can't really speak to how the service was, I went here after outpatient surgery so my sister ordered my food while I stayed in the car. But I know it was bomb.com! read more

Finally tried this place out during my no meat month of February fast,I ordered a wrap with basically "tabouli meatballs" inside. I was starving so I went to the care to smash!! As soon as I unwrapped it,a tabouli ball nearly rolled out into my lap... and then another,so I sorta had to re-wrap it in order to eat it. Once I did that,it actually was good though. Since they make it right in front of you, I suppose I could've done a better job of watching them make it and ask them to do a better job if I wasn't satisfied, so I put some of the blame myself , I will go back at some point. read more

Me and my daughter are here for the first time this week. Oh my goodness I wish I knew about this place sooner. It was so fresh and good! The service was super sweet explaining how everything worked. You can build your own bowl or pita or get one of theirs that a signature meal. We got pita chips with our meal and they were so delicious. My daughter got a kids meal pita bread topping it with sweet Potatoes, cucumber & crunches, side with her chips, hummus and rice. I did a build my own bowl. My girls love this place. I've had it a few times. Everything is always fresh and tastes good. If you like Mediterranean food I would definitely give it a try. Lots of combinations to try. My favorite is the spicy chicken and avocado pita. It has a nice kick. I would also recommend the pita chips with the crazy feta. read more

The food here is delicious but I can tell they've made their portions smaller, yet the prices are more expensive. It's pretty pricey to get two bowls here, it's over $30 if you also get drinks. Also, everytime I order online, my order is wrong. It's happened four times when I've ordered for work and it's very aggravating when my staff are hungry after a long day only to receive the wrong food and all they do is refund it. I feel like after messing up the same persons order multiple times in a row, we deserve a discount. Especially after what occurred today. I drove 20 minutes to pick up my order yesterday because I just can't trust them to make it right anymore, and while eating my leftovers for lunch today, I found this ball from someone's piercing IN MY FOOD. I crunched down on it with my teeth and, thankfully, it didn't do any damage but it still hurt and it's also really gross. I have multiple piercings too, so I double checked that it wasn't mine and all of my piercings are accounted for, plus it isn't like any of the jewelry I wear so I know it had to of come off of someone working the line while they were preparing my food. I get it, they fall off sometimes, but as someone who has worked in the food industry while also having lots of piercings, I highly encourage your staff to be hyper aware of them and to frequently adjust them to make sure this doesn't happen again. I could have chipped a tooth or worse, this could've gotten lodged in one of my molars. Not to mention, I don't know how hygienic the individual this came from is (not insulting anyone but you know, some people just don't take care of their piercings like they should), so yeah, please be mindful in the future. Compared to the Cava in Edmond, this location has A LOT to work on. The counters were dirty, the young lady working behind the counter made all of our bowls look nasty, my husband got just a few piece of chicken cubes, the space around the drink machines was wet, and it as weird that she didn't explain anything to anyone about how the process worked (I had to explain it to all my family). Also, the rice looked old and clumpy. I REALLY talked this place up to my family after I ate at the one in Edmond twice, but this location pales in comparison. I'm attaching a picture of my bowl. Literally such a great spot. Very much a build your own Greek FOOD bowl! Healthy, filling, and SUPER great options for protein, carbs, and lots of veggie toppings. The only downside is that the line takes a while to get through if it long, comparing to somewhere like Qdoba for speed.
