    Koobideh Classic

Definitely my new favorite place! Was suggested to go here by a friend and I'm glad I stopped by. Super friendly people and the ambiance was great! The food reminded me of home . I got the koobideh kabob with rice and will be coming back for more!

Crunchy, cold meat, wet lettuce and an Un chewable dry pita.

My wife and I enjoy a good Gyros sandwich, and we noticed that this place was open. We got there an hour before the posted closing time. We both ordered a gyros combo (includes fries) to eat in. We asked for no onion and Tzatziki on the side. The place is antiseptically clean looking, everything is white, the lights are bright so when you sit down, it's like you're sitting in a spotlight. There was one guy waiting on a to-go order which he got and left. After almost 30 minutes, he brought out our sandwiches and fries. The paper plates were wrapped in Saran Wrap. The gyros were also wrapped in foil. I've eaten Gyros in Turkey, Greece, and Lebanon so I really understand the flavor profile. First, he put the onions on it despite us asking for no onion (not a big deal, we can pick them off) but the pita and meat were so very dry, and not very hot. Perhaps it was because the meat was laying in a bed of very wet lettuce. The fries also were not hot, literally Luke warm. You know, the guy was fairly friendly, but the food was terrible. Ordinarily, I'd give a place a second chance, but for crying out loud, if you screw-up a gyros sandwich, why would I try anything else? We left most of the meal (see photos) and just left. We won't be back and would recommend going someplace else unless you're accustomed to cold crunchy meat and almost unchewable pita. I've never seen wet lettuce on a Gyros. EVER.

Right away, the vibe stands out--lots of cool memorabilia that gives the diner a nostalgic, laid-back feel. We were seated quickly and got our drinks without any delay, which is always a plus. I went with the country ham steak, eggs over easy, hash browns, and rye toast. Overall, it was a solid breakfast. The eggs were cooked just right, and the hash browns had good flavor, though they weren't quite as crispy as I had requested. The ham steak, unfortunately, leaned a bit on the dry side, which took it down a notch. My wife ordered the classic combo--bacon, eggs, hash browns, plus a biscuit with gravy. She was happy with her meal, and it checked the boxes for a traditional diner breakfast. In the end, it's a decent spot for breakfast with a great atmosphere, but nothing that really stood out or wowed us. We got up to pay and they told us they couldn't split the ticket and give the appetizer for free. So they charged her for the appetizer and told her she still could use the free appetizer which expired in 2 days. So her half price burger ($3.00) and free appetizer cost her $20.00 She knew we were mad so she says, I can give you a poker chip so you won't get mad at me. We asked what the chip was for and she said you can get a free burger the next time you're here. That would require us returning. We used to go every week and it got so bad we had to stop. One night they brought my husband's food and forgot to turn my order in. One time all the tables were dirty so we sat down at one and moved the prev items to the end of the table and stacked them After about 15 min they came by and said can I get you anything else? Whatever you do don't order a pancake. The size shrink to 3/4 of what it's supposed to be and it tastes like onion rings Bleh! We're done again. Thought because of their Thunder ties they would've gotten better. We went several weeks trying to give them a second chance. We're done If I could give it zero stars I would.
