Williston is not really a town you come through on purpose or drive by, but if you're ever in the area you HAVE to stop at Sister's Place! Sometimes there's nothing better than a cozy, homey family restaurant and that's exactly what's Sister's is (yes, the name is literal). It's a very southern family restaurant, so of course I had to try the fried catfish and it far exceeded expectations. It was crisp but cooked perfectly, with a slight seasoning and a little lemon juice, just delicious. We also tried peach cobbler for dessert, and I do think it's hard to find cobbler that's actually good and this is a rare one that makes the list. Melt in your mouth goodness! What a lovely little family restaurant way off the beaten path!

After a day at Devil's Den and the gardens we were starving and Sister's Place was one of the first restaurants that popped up in our search. I had some mixed feelings about the food but over all it was really good. We started with the deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes. The deviled eggs were not the southernn kind that I am used too but the fried green tomatoes might be the best I have ever had! And the dipping sauce which is their zingy ranch was awesome. They were truly the highlight of the experience. I would stop in just for those anytime I am in the area. I also got their buffalo chicken salad grilled and it was really solid. Nice portion. I stole a few bites of my friends lunch and can report the the tater tots are super crispy and crunchy and the fried zucchini is good and the pieces of zucchini are thick. The atmosphere was cute if you are into the southern charm thing. The service was good. If you are in the area I think it is worth a stop.

This place has an EXPANSIVE menu, I'm talking breakfast lunch and dinner menus all day. The food here was super yummy and the corn nuggets are a cannot miss. They are sweet on the inside and crispy on the outside. The Mac and cheese is delicious, and creamy. The fish sandwich is perfectly seasoned and cooked. The service was excellent. Our server was so sweet and attentive.

The reason is, I ordered the avocado toast, and unfortunately, there was more toast than really anything else very thick bread hard to type and there was no real flavor of the avocado. My wife had another as she said one thing that we didn't notice when we arrived, we were at the gift shop and the coffee shop that looked like something we would want to buy until we saw the price of $45.99 per single coffee cup the service was gone. It is a local and I'm sure that we will revisit it in the future.

First time customer! This location is very new. They had just opened when we visited. Going from a very small restaurant to a large seating capacity comes with a learning curve. They were slow getting the food out to some but working through it to learn how to adapt. The staff are friendly and trying very hard to make your dining experience enjoyable. The menu had a great selection. All the food was fresh and delicious! We tried the chicken salad sandwich. The chicken salad was so flavorful and fresh. The broccoli casserole was so good! Potato salad was yummy too! I am sure anything you get will be amazing!

This is our second visit and we love it. You are greeted promptly in the entrance which has many cute tops and T shirts, teas and other comfy country vibes. The restaurant is open and seating is very nice with choice of tables and booths. There will soon be improved outdoor dining. There are daily specials and an event room. Our first visit was brunch and did not disappoint. This visit was at lunch. My husband's mushroom burger was cooked perfectly and my fried green tomato BLT was also very nice. Thick slices of the bacon and tomatoes. The best was the homemade fried okra. Hot and crispy but so flavorful. The price was good for a home cooked meal. Morgan took good care of us. Looking forward to our next visit.

I came here after visiting Devils Den, and I was so happy I did! We started out with the deviled eggs and the Fried Green tomatoes. I typically like a bit of spice to my deviled eggs so these were not what I was used to. The Fried Green tomatoes were freaking amazing! They were served with a zesty ranch and the flavor of the batter with the sauce were a perfect matchup. The tomatoes were also a perfect texture and thickness. They are definitely in the top 10 best I have ever had! I got the Turkey Bacon Wrap with a side of fried zucchini and tater tots. The Wrap was a good balance to all of the fried food as I feel like I got at least two whole zucchini's as my side. The fried batter is so good so I liked the zucchini as well. The tomatoes were the highlight! We also had an amazing server to compliment the southern vibes!

This restaurant located in the small town of Williston offers fresh homestyle southern cuisine. They have a very welcoming atmosphere and even a gift shop when you walk in. We started with fresh baked bread. I had a side House Salad $3.99 and the Pecan Crusted Salmon $17.99 with sweet potato $1.29 up charge) and fried zucchini. It was all so fresh delicious and enjoyed every bite. We also shared the Peach Cobbler $5. The service was very friendly and efficient.

Daughter, grandmother and brother came here. waitress was cold and did not greet with a Hi, Hello or Welcome to Sister's place . she was very friendly and chatty with other customers. salad was just okay. cheese was missing and the waitress seemed bothered when my daughter asked for it. the ranch dressing was good. the waitress was happy to see us go and finally gave a little smile with our check. grandma asked for pie and that smile quickly disappeared, lol. i understand small town people can be weary of outsiders. so we will give this place another try.

FIRST time ever coming to this place.. we waited an hour to be seated after we got told that it would be a 20-25 min wait.. as we began to grow more irritated we walked in to see what was happening.. we got told it would be another 15 min wait.. FINALLY after waiting we got seated.. welp.. her we sat another 10 mins before anybody came to our table to wait on us, when suddenly the HOST came and took our drink orders.. mind you this place wasn't that busy.. ANOTHER 10 mins went by before we got our drinks.. well. Our waitress finally came by after waiting another 15 mins.. we all placed our orders and then we waited almost another hour to get our food.. my friends got the Salisbury steak special and theirs was out before my chicken tenders and my gfs cheeseburger.. that took another 30 mins to get. I was VERY irritated.. when I got my chicken tenders, I got 4 small ditsy mediocre chicken tenders that costed $14 for something that was literally no bigger than my finger.. they were good, but not $14 worth. When I brought it up to the waitress she told me they weigh them and they are hand battered and that's why they are so expensive.. regardless the experience was HORRIBLE.. and we will never be back. Luckily we don't live on that side of town and we were just going through.. but management definitely needs to run that place better.

A true small town, home-y place with 5 star southern food and hospitality!! The tables and booths were spaced just right, with several window seating booths. The tables looked beautifully made and reminded me of Amish craftsmanship. The decor was southern charm antiques with a darling little store at the entrance. The menu had quite a selection for every type of southern cuisine, plus some traditional entrees. They have a special for everyday of the week, with the suggestion to get there early as they run out at times. My pecan crusted salmon was done perfectly, as was my husband's fried large portion catfish fillets. A great selection of home made southern style sides accompanied our delicious fish. Dessert for both of us was apple crisp and blueberry crisp served warm with vanilla ice cream. So yummy!! Service was casual, warm, friendly, and attentive.

Sister's Place is a great stop for some local home cooking in Williston. My wife and I stopped here for lunch during our trip to Cedar Woods Botanical Gardens. After we finished up at the gardens, we knew we wanted to check out a local spot to eat at. We initially were gonna try another place but when we parked, we realized they were closed because of kitchen fire. Luckily, Sister's Place was not far! We drove on over and parked on the side of what looks like a small wooden house. The bungalow style building was split in two. One side was a women's hair salon and the other the restaurant. We opened the door and the place was packed and bustling. A kind woman came up and asked how many. It was just me, my wife and my daughter. She told us she had some tables finishing up and we would be seated shortly. A little wait in the foyer area and we were seated! All the staff was super friendly even though they were busy. Our server was around quickly and got us taken care of. She offered a package of crackers for our daughter who is 13 months and tends to have a hard time sitting still and being content. The crackers (thankfully) occupied her until our food came out. They have a board of daily specials, some already sold out by the time we got there. I went with their cheeseburger and side of onion rings. My wife got a Cuban sandwich and fries. We got a side of peaches for our daughter. The burger was really good. Fresh meat that came from a local cattle farm. Fresh toppings on it. Cooked just as I ordered it. The onion rings were large and crispy with a thin breading and well seasoned. My wife enjoyed her traditional Cuban sandwich that had ample meat and was pressed with a crispy fresh bread. The fries on the side were not her favorite as they were soft and greasy. She prefers a crispy fry. All in all, Sister's Place is an excellent choice for breakfast or lunch in Williston. This small town has charm and it's places like this, family run for 30 years, that dedicate their efforts to treating customers like friends and family while serving up food that is simple, fresh and tasty.

We were looking for a good place to eat after spending the day with the kids at Hogwaller not far…read moreaway. I saw a faded sign for the restaurant, checked the reviews and photos and said well let's try it! On arrival my dining mates (husband and another couple) looked at me like I'd lost my mind - it's eclectic for sure! But they had good drinks and the food was absolutely amazing. Our waitress was a trip and it's everything I want from small town, old school Florida. Great option to check out after you go to Island Grove Winery! I also wanted to address some of the other reviews insinuating poor service based on race. As a table of ghost white people sat in the back dining room when the whole place seemed pretty empty....the service was not at the pace of a chain that's trying to flip tables as fast as possible. Even with three exhausted kiddos with us close to bed time we just ordered another round, let the kids explore the taxidermy and the books.

We went to this restaurant on recommendation from our airboat driver, and they did not disappoint…read more We were seated right away and the hostess and the waitress were fabulous. They really took care of us. My husband got a Caesar salad with blackened chicken and I got the combo plate with gator, frog legs and catfish and it was so amazing. I have to say probably one of my first favorite things were the collard greens with bits of ham in it superduper delicious. They make a great drink. My husband liked their sweet tea, and I had a gin and tonic, which was really full of gin! We had no room for dessert, but the ones that walked past the table looked amazing. I really recommend this restaurant.

Only open until 2pm everyday, they have quite the salad bar and buffet table: homemade meatloaf, fried chicken, sausage (links and patties), eggs, home fries, biscuits, gravy, rice & sausage, ham, roast beef, chicken and dumplings and on and on. My wife and I stopped in this morning and what a great, little-known treasure. It's worth the drive if you are looking for some solid, down home southern cooking. Such flavors! I've had to edit this review three times because I keep going up and trying other stuff from the buffet! The mac & cheese! The green beans, complete with pieces of bacon! So good! Peach cobbler, banana pudding with chucks of banana in it and chocolate pudding with pieces of chocolate chip cookies in it! The prospects of what this place could do with a dinner menu make my mouth water. However, don't everyone rush up there at once, I almost want to keep this little piece of heaven to myself.
