We first heard of SIT Social through the Chicago Corgi Cavalcade about a year ago. We attended a few corgi meet-ups at this location and were very impressed by their professionalism and the general vibe of the place. Being as though our girl is on the anxious and shy side, we have been hesitant to throw her into just any daycare/boarding situation. With this being said, we were pleased to learn that SIT Social only allows dogs under 50 lbs, who are well behaved and friendly, at a limited capacity. We decided to give this place a try, as a means of helping our doggo socialize and get out of the house. Our first day was very smooth. We were able to get all of our questions answered via email prior to drop off. Upon drop off Daisy (our corgi) was met with love by staff members. This immediately eased our nerves about leaving her for the day. The best part about SIT Social is the "pupdates". Midway through the day we will get an update with pictures, videos, and an update on Daisy's behavior. This helps us feel comfortable and confident about the care she is receiving. Needless to say, we were pleased with how the first day went and decided to book a "standing order" for 1-2 days a week indefinitely. It has now been about 4 months of Daisy attending daycare at SIT Social and we would not change a thing. We even left her for boarding for the first time a few weeks ago. Again, given our girls natural anxiety in social settings, we were a nervous wreck leaving her for a weekend, but were comforted knowing she was with such kind, patient, loving, and professional staff. Special shout out to Bri, who in particular has been so great to our girl and responsive to us humans! Logistically, this place is in a good central location. There is always parking out front. When you get there you call their number and they greet you and your dog / bring your dog out to you. Prices are also fair for the more intimate care received. Overall, this place is a must for local small dog owners. We are so blessed to have found this place, and can not thank them enough for taking in our girl and helping her grow and slowly overcome some of her social anxiety. Our dog Merrill has been going to daycare at Sit Social for about six months now and she absolutely loves it! She gets excited and runs towards the door and waits excitedly for it to open when we drop her off. She gets so much energy out and is very calm and sleepy the night of and even the next day after a full day of daycare. My dog has been going to SIT Social since she was a little puppy and practically drags me to the sidewalk to get to the door faster. It is really nice that this is a daycare for smaller pups, which definitely makes it unique in comparison to other daycares, and it makes a big difference. Coconut is more of a watch and see dog at the dog park but she goes crazy and does not stop playing at SIT because she is having so much fun and is comfortable with the other dogs. What an incredible business. To start, the staff is absolutely wonderful. When I called to inquire about their services, I was immediately directed to the owner Joe who couldn't haven't been more personable and professional. Joe personally called me before bringing in my dog, the day he was there, and a few days after our first visit to make sure we had a good experience. THAT is the way you run a business! My Pomeranian, Napoleon, who is normally very anxious and nervous had a wonderful first day at Sit Social. At around 11a I was given a text update that he was socializing (something he never does) and having a great time. I think the greatest part of Sit Social is that they specially cater to small dogs and don't take on more dogs than they can handle. With this, my normally standoffish pup, was very comfortable and happy. They even gave him a bath before he came home and he smelled wonderful. Our dog has done a little bit of daycare there but boarding was a bit too stressful for him, so Sit Social asked if we would be open to in-home pet sitting. I've been taking my my labradoodle to SitSocial for a few years now. Victoria and her team have been super accommodating for last minute requests for daycare and boarding. They also know how to make sure Riker has a good time, but gently correct him when he gets too rambunctious or oversteps. They treat him like he's their dog. I travel a lot for work and the option of cage free boarding makes me feel al lot better about being away. It's a home away from home for him. The daily "pupdate" is a bright spot in my day when I inevitably get a picture of my very happy pup along with a brief description of his demeanor. I can't say enough good things about SitSocial. I had to have surgery on my left foot this past week and we wanted to make sure that our dog, Fox, had a nice place to play at while we were at the hospital. Usually, if we are are gone for a short time we will leave him in his crate but we were unsure of our time and didn't want to leave him without supervision. After checking out numerous places, we decided sit social was the best place to send him for day care. We really liked the fact that we could bring him in to test if he liked the environment and got along with their other clients. We also liked that it is cage free since Fox can have anxiety. After each of our visits, the employees gave us an update on how he had been and even fed him with the food we provided. Now that surgery is done, we would normally just keep him at home. But he enjoyed his time so much and we want him to continue to be around other dogs that I know we will be bringing him back here to just hang out! I know that I don't have to worry about him while he is here and it doesn't hurt that their prices are very reasonable! read more

Our regular dog boarding service couldn't keep our dog over Christmas. I found out less than a week before and our vacation was threatened. Sit Social responded to our situation with a sense of organized urgency and we were able to work it out. Then, we experienced a covid-related return flight cancellation. In the chaos I ended up with a dead phone and couldn't notify Sit Social on a timely basis. They called the secondary contact and kept our dog happy without complaint. The photos were also great. I recently moved and the hardest part about doing that was finding a new daycare facility for my french bulldog. Frenchies are not always the easiest to get along with other dogs. Here, they love frenchies and understand the breed. They work to correct any bad behavior and their small size allows for that flexibility. I get regular "pupdates" about my dog which include pictures, videos and status of his behavior. It makes me so happy to see him playing with other dogs! Victoria reached out to me regarding this review and stated that I mis-stated the financial aspect of my review. So, here I am correcting it. The first visit has a $25 service/website fee and they charge only 50% for the second pup. My original receipt was texted to me, I clicked on the link and saw a $63 dollar charge (whoops it looks like I believed it was $66!) but no clear breakdown on my screen and no scroll ability. On a computer it has a clearer breakdown and shows the service charge. I check the email from my phone and it is garbled and again no scroll ability....ah technology. The space is cute and I have no doubt that Victoria doesn't love what she does. The space is clean and cute. It's not the right fit for my pups and my experience was less than stellar but it says a lot to have a conversation with the owner about the experience....even if it is after the fact and know that they listened to my experience. read more

We tried to drop our dog off for daycare and there was no one there. The boarded dogs were left unattended for over an hour (that we know of). They raised their prices without letting people know (for boarding). They explained and offered discounted services but never followed up. They need more reliable employees as opposed to one person who works way too much! read more

In July I just added a new puppy to my life. I contacted the girls to start in September when I started back at work as a teacher. Since I had been with my dog everyday I was extremely nervous to leave her alone and go back to work. These girls are amazing and have made this transition as smooth as possible! They replied to me emails quickly, met us for a sample initial meeting/walk and to see how I did things to keep the same routine, and we started with the puppy outs (2 times a day). My dog now goes out once a day with them for a walk/run and play time. A great thing about them is they are very accomodating to your schedule and will always be there when you need them. They have been amazing and connected with my dog right away. While I am at work they send me texts and pictures to update every day. I always return home to a happy well loved dog. They also work with her on walking properly on a leash, not jumping, and other proper puppy manners! I give them a ton of credit for the dog she is becoming. I would recommend their services to anyone. (and I say this as a over protective puppy owner!) They go above and beyond and will meet anyones expectations. I can not thank them enough! read more

Updating my previous review since we've utilized more services: Cageless Boarding: Just this past weekend, we were caught in a pickle while on vacation. We had nobody to stay with Ross Friday into Saturday and Victoria came to the rescue. While initially hesitant of cageless boarding (since Ross hasn't spent a night outside of our apartment since we adopted him) our fears were quickly appeased by Victoria. Ross spent the afternoon at Daycare Friday and the evening with the SIT team. There were absolutely zero issues and the flexibility Victoria showed our schedule was astounding! I highly recommend this service if you're looking for a place for your pooch to spend the night! Doggie Daycare: Ross goes to doggie daycare at the SIT Social Dog Lounge once a week and loves it! He gets picked up between 9:30-10am and dropped back off between 2-3pm. In between, Victoria takes the time to send videos and pictures of Ross hanging with the other dogs. Ross always spends plenty of time sleeping the next couple days after daycare. Dog walker: Ross still loves his daily walks with the SIT dog walkers. Jessica certainly goes above and beyond what's expected. When Ross had an unexpected accident in his crate, she took the time to take him out, give him a quick bath, clean up his crate, and make sure he had a fresh towel to lay on in his crate the rest of the day. This is the first negative review I've ever written, but this is also the first time I paid money to for a service only to be completely ghosted by the business. I purchased a "Paint Your Pet" Groupon for $89, which is not cheap. There was only one date available for May, but I was told by SIT Social that more dates would be added to their calendar in June... The month of June went by and I continued to check back for more dates. I emailed SIT social two more times, and heard absolutely nothing back. What kind of business just doesn't reply to emails? I'm not talking slow responses... I'm talking no responses. What a very bizarre and very disappointing experience. The real kicker is that Groupon will not refund me. read more

Through unprecedented times, SIT Social gave me a space to safely execute my puppy's first birthday party! I was warmly welcomed as soon as I arrived by one of their workers Bri, who was extremely helpful and nice, there was a clear tour of the space and cleaning supplies, along with the COVID-19 guidelines that all guests were required to follow. The owner Joe, was quick to respond to all of my emails and was ensuring enough to make sure everything ran smoothly. We were given 15 minutes before and after our reserved space to clean up what we brought, but the rest of the cleaning was taken care of. We were able to decorate with our own decorations that we bought. Speakers were provided if needed. You were able to purchase more things outside of the time reservation, which I did not do but it was an option offered. I would highly encourage this place to anyone who is looking for an open space to hold a party for their beloved pet! Victoria and the crew at Sit Social are the best! I took my puppy here for boarding when I was out of town for a week. It was my first time leaving her somewhere, so I was pretty nervous and probably so annoying to deal with, but Victoria patiently answered all my questions and gave me updates on how my pup was doing. They also give you daily updates with pictures and comments, which really helped put me at ease. My puppy is a bit shy so I was worried about her not getting enough attention, but Victoria really goes above and beyond to make sure all the dogs are getting love and care. Also, on the way home, my flight got super delayed, and Victoria stayed up late so that I could pick my pup up that night instead of leaving her at Sit for a whole additional night. This is our dog's happiest place! Poppy, our one year old Goldendoodle, has endless energy and Sit Social has been our saving grace during Covid to help her run out her crazies. We've gone to other doggie daycares with our previous dog across Chicago and Sit Social is the best of the best. Poppy literally pulls us out of the car when we get there and runs (with us trailing behind) into Sit Social every morning. Joe and Brie are the absolute best -- they provide great updates throughout the day and have always been incredibly communicative / accommodative. We've also boarded Poppy there a number of times and she comes home super happy and well rested. It's such a great thing to know that our dog is happy and well cared for while we are out of town.
