Ordered classic pierogis for pick up. Got to where I was going to eat them and they were burned and not edable.

SDT is so warm, cozy, and welcoming! My husband and I were greeted right away and promptly seated. The food and drink menu's have so much to offer! We tried an app of the tavern nachos which were perfectly proportioned for two people. The nachos were extremely tasty. For our entrees, I ordered the burrito bowl with blackened chicken and my husband got the boneless tavern wings with buffalo sauce on the side. Both were out of this world good! My bowl was full of fresh ingredients, nice and hot, definitely comfort food. My husband said his wings were so crispy, and tender. We wanted to order desert because the dishes looked so good, but we were both too stuffed! It just means we have to visit again soon!

Such a cute bar/restaurant! Loved the vibe. Burger was cooked perfect, awesome char, duck wings were great flavor, Thai chili complimented the richness of the duck. We had the sweetest server Gabby, was so attentive, making sure we were good on drinks and food. So appreciative we weren't rushed on a Friday night. Definitely check them out

I can't believe it's been 3 years since we were here! But it's still as good as our last visit! We got cozy seats by the fire which was lovely on a cold wintry day! We were seated immediately and our server was fast, accurate and friendly! The food was top notch as always and their tomato bisque and Tuscan bread grilled cheese was perfect for this time of year! One daughter had the macaroni and cheese "small plate" which was plenty for any meal and my other daughter had the fish and chips which I tried and loved - as a Brit it's hard to get good authentic fish and chips but these definitely were worth trying - two huge fillets with hand cut fries and tartar and ketchup on the side - the only thing missing was malt vinegar!

Tonight was one of the better experiences I've had at Sitting Duck in a while, but as much as I try, I just can't get myself to love it. The food is typically average - the toast in the French onion soup was a little burnt-tasting, and I thought my grilled cheese could've been a lot cheesier. Some items are better than others, but it always has us wanting more from the experience. The water had a weird taste and even the sprite was flat. It's a good spot if you're looking to watch the game and have some drinks.

This place is great, haven't had a bad meal yet. Most recently went on a Sunday and had martinis and apps at the bar. Drinks and food were amazing, friendly staff and bartender. Plenty of seating and space for larger groups as well. Highly recommend checking them out!

We had the Breakfast burrito (no eggs for me which was no issue and they offered sub tofu if you like!) with Longaniza sausage, homemade beans, avocado, home fries, cheese and more .... Fresh chips and salsa, triple tacos with a different filling in each, birria beef, carnitas and chicken tinga. She had to eat a bunch of meat to pick them up they were so loaded! And the most delicious home fries! I had the agua Fresca which was elderberry and lime and so delicious! They rotate flavors daily apparently! The place looks like nothing from the outside but wow!!!!! What a gem! We picked up take out for my hubby too and the whole check was only $62! The owners/servers were lovely, so welcoming and accommodating, this is definitely going to become a repeat spot for us! And there's a parking lot right next to it so no worries about that!

The place is small and is shaped like an old school diner, located in the corner of an intersection I've passed many times but never noticed the diner. The atmosphere was family friendly, clean, and fun to be in. The staff, which is family, were so sweet and attentive and right there when you needed them. I ordered their churro French toast and chilaquiles. The French toast is everything the hype around it is, and the chilaquiles, my first time trying them ever, were out of this world. The chips were covered in sauce but somehow still crispy, despite how long it took me to get through the dish. I got their freshly squeezed juice of the day which was beet based and I loved it. There is no doubt I'll be going back here, great food and great experience, thank you Agave !

That said, it does seem like the owner could benefit from hiring a few additional staff members to better keep up with customer volume. My party waited a noticeable amount of time for food and drinks, even though it wasn't particularly busy compared to times I've seen in the past. The service itself was great, and the staff worked hard despite being stretched thin. Overall, the food and drinks were excellent, and with a little more staffing, the experience would be even better.

I just adjusted the chairs to make sure my guest and kids were comfortable and not annoying the adult customers in bar area etc. She yells "MAY I HELP YOU WITH **MY** FURNITURE". Im not interested in your 1975 chairs but I am INDEED moving a chair so my nephew can sit down. Im thinking Im being HELPFUL so I don't have to bug anyone but instead, she tried to sh*t on me in front of other patrons. After that, our vibe was not vibing and we did not order drinks as we had planned and left. I was really hoping this tanking restaurant would have been a winner as we have a LARGE circle of friends in the town & I we all love giving business to mom and pops hanging by a thread. Too bad.

Their site says that they have 15 taps featuring local craft beers, but once we sat, we were immediately told they did not have a number of items on the menu. Very few of the beers were local, so I settled on a Yeungling, which was unfortunately flat, sour, and warm. I returned it, and our server was happy to get something else. He did not take it off the bill however which was disappointing. Our server let us know that he was a very experienced bartender, but every time a drink was served, he grabbed it by the mouth of the glass. Gross. Also, several times, the server would ask one person at the table if they'd like another and run away before seeing if everyone at the table was OK. The pizza was the saving grace, and just the way I like it... Thin & Crispy (as stated on the Staff's uniforms). Cooked in a cast iron skillet, it was a unique, and welcome twist. I went for the clam casino special, which was very good. I would definitely get it again if available. Maybe with a squeeze of lemon next time. My wife got the chicken cutlet with hot peppers which was also very good, but totally overloaded with garlic. Wedge salad was good, but could have used a little more dressing. Maybe they just had an off night. I will try them again, but my experience and other recent reviews seems to trend that the staff lacks leadership and needs a significant amount of training. If they could get the management and service right, this place could unlock a ton of potential.

I got the Klarides Village pizza and I wish I got something else. My husband's wedge salad was good and his clam casino pie wasn't bad. Burger presented nicely but lacked any seasoning and the cheese fries were tasty. I feel this place can be better, service be more consistent. Beer can be updated and fresh. Came for a music event and the lighting and stage are nice. Will come back to try pizza again, maybe just a sauce and cheese.

Born and raised in Eptahori, Greece, Tzepos immigrated to Connecticut in the 1950s with his family. He opened his namesake pizzeria in downtown Seymour in 1970. The name "Zois" is the Greek male equivalent of the female given name "Zoey", but it is also the Greek word for "life". Zois Pizza became well-known for their Greek-style pizza which is cooked in pans. Tzepos' brother Nick also operated pizzerias throughout Connecticut's Naugatuck Valley. The last pizzeria he ran before his retirement was Oxford Pizza Palace, which is currently operated by his son John. Zois Pizza is and has always been a family-run establishment. Zois' son Jim Tzepos has been running the day to day operations since the early 2000s, but Zois still pops in from time to time to make some pies. In addition to the signature Greek-style pan pies, the menu also consists of salads, appetizers, grinders, trays and calzones. I recently stopped in for dinner at Zois Pizza for the first time. I often go to downtown Seymour to see cult film screenings at the Strand Theater. I usually stop at an area restaurant beforehand to grab dinner, so I decided to try out Zois' on my most recent outing. I looked over the menu and decided to order three small pies so I could sample a few different kinds. The three that I ordered were the "Greek" (cheese pizza topped w/ fresh tomato, spinach, feta, garlic & oregano), the "Greek Godfather" (cheese pizza topped w/ sausage & roasted red peppers), and the "Roula Special" (cheese pizza topped w/ chicken, bacon, broccoli & garlic). Although I'm partial to New Haven-style apizza, these Greek-style pan pies were very good. They were full of flavor and had a nice and light, airy crust. At one point, my server checked on me and asked which of the three were my favorite. I told her that I enjoyed all three, but it was the Roula Special that really hit the spot. She responded, "OMG! That's my pizza! I'm Roula!" It turns out that she was Roula Tzepos: Zois' granddaughter! To drink, I enjoyed some cans of New England Brewing's "Fuzzy Baby Ducks" and "Sea Hag" IPAs. Overall, I had a very enjoyable experience at Zois'. I even had some leftovers to bring home for my family to try. If you're looking for a good place to grab dinner in downtown Seymour, then head to Zois'!
