You can find furniture, books, kitchenware, music (variety of vinyl), clothing, and all sorts of antiques. You could definitely spend hours here, as the place is quite large. Most of the businesses are on the first floor, while there are other businesses (like photography and music recording rooms) on upper floors. There's also a music lounge, though I haven't been. And hey, if you can't find anything here, or if you have kids that are fussy, there's Hometown Arcade for old school (and some newer) arcade and video games. (Not really public transportation friendly, though there's a commuter rail station about a 20 minute walk away)

Vintage fashion, unique items of yesteryear, and new artisan crafts and practical gifts are meticulously displayed in attractive booths from different owners. Excellent reuse of a historic building. The entrance is #12, just past the overhang connecting this old mill to another terrific old brick mill (that hasn't had a renaissance just yet). If one is walking around with a baby carriage covered with a blanket and a store employee can't see what or who (or even if anything or anyone is in there), then it is a valid question to ask about your baby. Also, it is bizarre that someone would walk around in this consignment shop with a stroller anyway. Lady, get a babysitter. Also, get a thicker skin. If people ask about your baby, don't take offense. Looks like other complained about not being greeted when they walked though the door. Were they expecting trumpets and confetti? The end products are striking and modern, but the pieces still retain the quirks that made them an impressive find to begin with. The prices for painted, contemporary furniture are reasonable, but don't expect the pieces to be cheap. The labor put into them is intense. That said any of her pieces would brighten a home and with their finish are safe for use. Putting a drink on a table, for example, would not leave a mark. I highly recommend the shop for anyone looking for that extraordinary piece to complement their home. The work is even divided into two sections: home and studio depending on price and the piece. Her blog features all the work and she's also active on both instagram (having over 1000 followers) and Facebook. BUYER BEWARE!!! Lies, non-existent customer service, missed delivery dates, zero communication, and…read moreconstant excuses. I waited months for a furniture purchase while delivery dates were missed multiple times, with delays disclosed only after I repeatedly chased the store for updates. There was zero proactive communication throughout the process. I've had the great misfortune and displeasure of having to deal with Anthony Goode, one of the proprietors. He needs to get a serious lesson in customer service and hospitality or get out of the retail business. After the second missed delivery, he was unapologetic, deflected responsibility, and refused to provide a guaranteed delivery date. When asked to put everything in writing--including delivery commitments or compensation--he insisted on phone calls only, an apparent attempt to avoid a written record. After extensive back-and-forth and continued refusal to provide basic accountability or a firm delivery date, I was forced to cancel the order. Despite this, the business has refused to issue a refund of my 50% deposit. This is an unscrupulous and deceptive business operation that avoids transparency and accountability at every turn. Save yourself the time, stress, and money--do not shop here. Buyer beware!!!

I decided to call Sam's and fortunately they were able to schedule an appointment quicker and the trip charge cost a little less than the manufacturer's quote. The communication is great. Jon called us shortly before arrival and was very respectful from start to finish. He had a mask on the entire time and didn't leave any mess for our project. He was clearly experienced and answered our questions. He provided a quote for the repairs and said the quote would be valid for 30 days.
