I got their Marathon cases and they do just fine at a fraction of the Road Ready's. Tips: 1.) Parking: do NOT park in the RED, you can get a ticket fast. 2.) Parking: if you can't find parking on 11th St., you usually can on 10th St. 3.) Open your boxes there before you take it home. I bought a Marathon Turntable case that had a Mixer case in the box. Luckily they gave me the correct box and case when I brought it back. 4.) Bring and Pay with Cash. Whenever I need DJ/PA gear, this is the place I head to. Huge warehouse with a great selection of amps, speakers, mics, lights, needles, cases, etc. Strictly gear, no music. Great staff--super helpful and knowledgeable. Be firm and bargain with the sales reps and you can walk away with some killer deals. Also, they price match any authorized retailer (including online stores). FYI, Six Star is also the Marathon (ATA case maker) warehouse, so you can get their entire product line at a discounted price. Parking sucks, but about 50 yards to the right, you'll see an entrance to roof-top parking...costs about $2/hr. read more

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE from this company. If you're a dj, event planner or any type of production person. Do not order from this company online. it is a complete joke. I placed not 1, but 2 orders from this Six Start PSL for the same merchandise. The first order placed on their direct website seems to go smoothly, until i noticed after 4 days there was no movement with my packages. I then proceeded to call. The phone almost rang out until i got someone.. (who didn't seem like he wanted to help) He told me "someone will reach out to you today, in regards to your order" and that was it...No , no one ever reached out to me and i didn't even get a email. Just another 2 days later an email notifying me my order was cancelled. I then proceeded to call multiple times a day for another 3 days with no luck and the phone completely ringing out. At this point (thinking the speakers in which i needed was a great deal) i decided to place another order and within 6 hours i got another order cancellation email. At this point i decided to check up on their reviews... and of course their have been similar situations as mine. What a huge disappointment! Drove all the way from Corona to check out their DJ equipment. When I walked in and the sales people looked at me and did not offer me any service. I walked around Trying to find what I was interested in with no luck. When I finally cornered someone to ask a question I was treated as if I was bothering them. I would think that being in the area that this place is located in which is not very nice they would have made an attempt to get my business. At first, I thought this place was the best place to get really good deals, until I figured that they over priced their 3/4 of what they cost. I got a light there for 140, was able to manage to bring it down from 160. I then later found out, that exact same light was being sold for 80 dollars. Be careful buying there, because they make you sign a receipt thats pretty much a contract. In the back it says that you can't return any products even if you had just gotten it the same day. There are no walls stating the fact that all sales are final. I may be bitching due to the fact that i got ripped pretty damn bad, I'm just warning you all that plan to do business here. read more

Don't believe their great reviews. I believe they're written by friends of the owner. ZERO STARS, BUYER BEWARE, ZERO STARS, REPEAT ZERO STARS... The salesman and owner were very nice when I was making a decision on which speakers were best for my application. i bought a pair of speakers and realized when I got home that they were too big for my needs. I went back to the store the next day and they told me I couldn't get a refund and that I had to pay a 20% restocking charge to take them back.
