It was last minute, about 30 minutes before closing, so I called ahead and then decided to go in. I'm really glad I did. I was helped by a young man named Guy, and he was outstanding. You could tell he genuinely cared about what he was doing. He asked thoughtful questions--whether I wanted LED or a traditional red bulb--and walked me through the pros and cons of each option in a way that actually made sense to someone like me. What really stood out was how hands-on he was. He picked out a few options, brought them to the counter, and used a socket setup to actually show me how each bulb looked when lit. Then he carefully explained the differences so I could make an informed decision. That level of service is rare. The store itself is incredible--if it exists in the world of lightbulbs, they have it. But what made the experience memorable was Guy. He was knowledgeable, polite, enthusiastic, and took real pride in helping a customer. You just don't see that level of care as often anymore. I'm old enough to say "back in the day," and honestly, this felt like that kind of customer service--where someone actually takes the time to help and make sure you get exactly what you need. However after we started working with Filament Vintage Lighting, they made the process so easy and he gave us options on how to really make it beautiful.
