When I called today to have my bike checked out I was told "sure we are not busy, bring it in, we'll look at it and if nothing is really wrong with it there won't be much of a charge, we'll get you in and out". When I brought it in 30 minutes later it was another story. The short dirty looking fellow that came out to "help" me was condescending and said to even look at it all, I'd have to leave it there and it would cost almost 100 dollars after tax. He had a seriously nasty attitude and was trying to get rid of me as quickly as possible. How busy can they be in March? Anyway, I told him that's not what I was told on the phone and he said it was. I told it that it most certainly was not and I left. Huge waste of my time and I'm glad I only brought one bike in. I have four. I planned on having some work done on a couple of them there too. I wanted to see how this went first. If you didn't buy one of their bikes, don't take it there. That's the message I got. Typical attitude for the area.

Cain Park Bicycle is also taking strong measures to protect against coronavirus. You have to make an appointment for service or to look for a bike and masks are required. It was time to completely update or get a new bike. I opted to update; I guess I'm a sucker for that classic, lightweight Cannondale frame. And this shop specializes on bike overhauls. Glad I did! The team did a fantastic job! Best part is that I basically have a safer, faster "new" bicycle for 1/3 the price of an actual new one. Yea!! Travis (owner) informed me that I needed lots of work to get it back into top shape. I told him I'm happy with how it is now, I just want to be able to shift again. He was perfectly willing to just do the specific work I requested. He did a great job, and he had it ready for pick up three days later, as promised. We did see a mom and her two young children come in and look for bikes. You can see how they made sure that the child was looking at the right bike for their size. If it were based on their knowledge, awesome personalities alone we would have purchased bikes just because we know that after the sale they would be there for the customer.
