I probably could've kept half for later, though I don't imagine a cheesesteak being any good when it's not fresh and hot. Speaking of which, my sandwich came out quickly, though not so quick that it made me suspicious. The staff were also nice and friendly, and the place was clean. That said, two notes of possible concern (though not for everyone). First, the place is small, and all the seats are outside, so don't go on a rainy day unless you plan to get it to go. Don't worry, they seem well prepared for this. My sandwhich came out as if I was taking it to go, and was not only nicely wrapped up, but came with lots of napkins. Which brings me to the bigger issue: their napkins were kind of small. Granted, there was a big pile of them, and, as I said, they gave me a bunch when they gave me my sandwich, but I still went through them quickly. And had to wash my hands when I got home (which I always do anyway, but you get the point). Though, admittedly, that may be because the whiz makes the sandwich messier than, I suspect, the provolone or American cheese. Lastly, the place is on Pico, so we're talking metered street parking. Though when I went -- noon on a Thursday -- I had no problem finding a spot. Which will come in handy when I go back.

The quality of the ingredients is the first thing that jumps out and they're not afraid to season their meat. Everything about it screamed authentic and delicious. This is easily going to be my go-to spot for cheesesteaks going forward and I've already got a few Philly friends heading over here to give it a shot. I know the knock is you can't get a good Cheesesteak out here compared to Philly but if they get better than this out there then I can't wait to go. Total with tax and tip was about $25. From start to finish- looking, ordering, waiting, and eating- it took less than 30 minutes. Nice and efficient, I was soon off to my next errand!
