This is our son's go to place for steak.. Our server Kate was very attentive & helpful. (The only reason why I gave 4 stars.) She kept asking if we needed anything else, refilled our drinks. Even though the place was very busy for the dinner rush. Salad bar was nice and clean. When we were done we told her that is was our son's Birthday she had other servers sing for our son. I dined there, or I should say I went to done there 04/26/20266, Sunday afternoon. Ordered a 14oz. ribeye, medium, baked potato, side salad and coffee. rang up around 43.00 dollars. I got my salad from the salad bar and about 15 minutes later my steak arrive, barely warm, baked potato same way. The butter didn't even melt. I told my waiter, he offered to take it back to reheat/ recook the whole thing. I refused, asked for box, and took it home fed the dog, he seemed to like it. Sort of an expert in cuts, my Ribeye was not a Ribeye but an unidentifiable cut, good flavor but really rough and with "nerves"throughout ... I reported it and the Manager came to my table to apologize and explained some new personnel issues and gave me a refund... good experience, I hope the same didn't happen earlier to people who don't know their cuts..! read more

This place is so disgusting. This is was the waiter brought me for our extra plates and napkins for the salad bar. The soup bowl they give you, mine still had yellow water in it. I love to eat here, when I can afford it. I had the Malibu Chicken and it was very delicious along with a salad & soup bar. I highly recommend this place for lunch and dinner. driving back from ABQ we decided to stop for somewhere to eat while in Gallup. a little hesitant we chose Sizzler. i had my share of disappointments at other steak houses. this experience could be one of the top on my list. i ordered the Steak and 1/2 dozen shrimp. expecting a decent size steak i was served a thin strip..... i asked the waiter what was it I was served laughing she giggled and said that we are limited on steaks at the moment.... hmm? ok i went ahead and proceeded to eat my dinner.... i asked for a med cooked steak and it was completely med rare.... i did not want to send the "meat" (at this point its no longer a steak to me) back i was afraid it would returned overcooked and dry.... on top of everything the price of the meal was way overpriced with what i received. You can just have that for your meal because they had other options such as pasta desert or like chicken tacos or spaghetti. Service wasn't as good as the first time, our waiter looked clueless and didn't accommodate us when my mom wasn't satisfied with her food. She got a "New York strip" which basically looked like any other steak on the menu. She had also requested medium rare but was overlooked and too much cartilage. I haven't eaten at a Sizzler in...not sure how long, but it was actually pretty great. The food and the waitstaff were awesome. Definitely recommend the ribeye, loaded baked potato with mushrooms on the side. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly, greatly appreciate that. One thing that I wasn't fond of though...when my family and I were ordering, the cashier tried to charge us a 10% gratitude but there was sign right in front that said "10% gratitude for 8 guests or more." We didn't have 8 guests, we only had 6 guests. When I confronted her about that, she gave me an attitude. I asked to speak with the manager about this issue but she backed off and decided not to charge me the 10% which I thought was weird...like she knew she was caught and didn't want to get the manager involved. Like I said the food is good and the waiters are great, but I would be careful when ordering and make sure the cashier doesn't try to charge you a 10% gratitude when you have a party less of 8. read more
