The chicken all across the board was dry as a rock, room temperature, completely tasteless, and crunchy like it was days old. I didn't get the musakahn roll, I got veggie spring rolls instead. They were soggy in the middle and greasy. The chicken shawarma flatbread, I have no idea what the heck they gave me, but it wasn't what I ordered. The menu says comes with chicken, tahini, pickled radish, and toum. What I got was the same days old dry as a rock flavorless chicken with tomatoes, salad, mayo, ketchup, and parsley on it. The mujadara was fine, just basmati rice with some lentils topped with not cooked enough onions. I asked for one toum and one hummus on the side, but the restaurant gave me five toums, five tahinis, five hummus, and five hot sauce. I didn't ask for all that so it shouldn't have sent. My wife didn't eat her food. I scraped some chicken off the flatbread and had a few spoons of rice. Everything else went into the trash. Also, the toum isn't toum, it's mayo with garlic. At least try please. Can't compete or compare with NYC style Halal food, not even remotely.

Personally, I'm not raving about it and nothing about the meal has really jumped out at me. The meal is solid, but not AMAZING. I haven't tried any other the other meals or items they sell, so I won't speak on those. What I did notice, is that they sell Snapples, and occasionally, some Arizona Iced Teas. This might not mean anything for some, but Snapples and Arizona Iced Teas come with a wave of nostalgia as they were my favorite beverages when I was growing up. The workers are pleasant and friendly, so that's a plus. One thing to note is that this cart has various locations/open hours depending on the day of the week (refer to picture). Depending on your situation and allotted time for lunch, the cart's changes in locations can be a minor inconvenience or a great convenience. It really all depends. Overall, this cart sells tasty food. The reason for the 4 star rating is that nothing really separates this cart from other halal carts I've tried (which may not be an issue as there aren't many other carts in the area). The vegetables were coarse and it was impossible to take bites of large chunks of lettuce tough unpeeled cucumber and large bites of raw onion. Very unpleasant especially when the bread fell apart because it wasn't heated through enough. It was quite unpleasant. I looked at his flyer and it reads"a touch of halal". Just as there is no such thing as a touch of kosher there is no such thing as a touch of halal. It either is or it isn't. Ordered everything spicy. Nothing needed extra salt. The idli and vada were terrific, enough salt for flavor enhancement, tender inside, crispy outside. The sambar went nicely with both; felt like a soup almost. Both karampodi dishes were a little over seasoned, had to scrape some off, but the smell and taste was wonderful. Very unique type of chili blend, never seen it ever. The bullet naan was a little bit of a let down, didn't feel like typical naan, was a bit crunchier and flatter than normal naan. But, the taste was great also. I've never had paneer before but figured might as well try, since this "555" sauce is something I've never had. To me, it has the mouth feel of tofu on the outside, but a nice firm but tender chew. The chili sauce is pretty spicy but quite tasty. Lastly, the aloo tikki chaat eats like curried mashed potatoes because it's take out, but I like the format. The chaat masala topping breaks up the mashed potato texture and adds crunch. Overall, only negative is I didn't order rice, should have. I'm a fan of spicy food but with all this food it's a bit too spicy to eat without a starch. Definitely will order again.
