I'll start by saying the food tasted ok. I have a gluten allergy I get very sick when I eat it. It's not a choice it's an allergy. I asked the server right away what was Gluten free (the menu was different from what we found online). Her response was "everything is gf we use coconut flour" I've been gf for YEARS!! and this made me question. Especially since they had flatbread, pasta and breads (burgers avocado toast) I questioned quite a few things like the pasta breads ect. Her response was it was gf and she wouldn't steer me wrong. I told her again if I eat it I will be sick. She said she understood. We ordered a wrap, flatbread, hummus, a bowl and baklava. (I have NEVER seen GF baklava) She comes back out shortly after we ordered and she said she called the owner and they said I "shouldn't trust the flat bread or pita bread with the hummus". Mentioning something about how they order them with the coconut flour and sometimes it's not GF I didn't quite understand her it didn't make sense. We adjusted the order got two bowls soup and a wrap and the baklava (hubby can eat gluten). Sure enough when the food came out I could tell instantly the wrap was not GF nor was the baklava. I also questioned her again if the soup had a thicker in it as it had the texture of thickened soup. She said they soaked the lentils so that's why it's that way. All in all if you have an allergy eat here at your own risk. It's not worth it. It's also not worth the cost. 2 bowls, a cup of soup, a wrap and baklava for $81 is crazy. read more

Been off a few months because not much worth dining out for around here. Decided to get delivery from The Garden and I'm immediately regretting it. Not sure who cooks this food, but it was quite possibly the most disgusting worst food I've ever had. Not an ounce of seasoning on anything, and barely anything resembling culture. Ordered chicken shawarma platter, no tzatziki, hummus on the side, rice on the side. Also ordered musakahn rolls, chicken shawarma flat bread, and mujadara. The chicken all across the board was dry as a rock, room temperature, completely tasteless, and crunchy like it was days old. I didn't get the musakahn roll, I got veggie spring rolls instead. They were soggy in the middle and greasy. The chicken shawarma flatbread, I have no idea what the heck they gave me, but it wasn't what I ordered. The menu says comes with chicken, tahini, pickled radish, and toum. What I got was the same days old dry as a rock flavorless chicken with tomatoes, salad, mayo, ketchup, and parsley on it. The mujadara was fine, just basmati rice with some lentils topped with not cooked enough onions. I asked for one toum and one hummus on the side, but the restaurant gave me five toums, five tahinis, five hummus, and five hot sauce. I didn't ask for all that so it shouldn't have sent. My wife didn't eat her food. I scraped some chicken off the flatbread and had a few spoons of rice. Everything else went into the trash. Also, the toum isn't toum, it's mayo with garlic. At least try please. Can't compete or compare with NYC style Halal food, not even remotely. read more

I love when a restaurant is smart enough to be open on a Sunday. We had the baba gnoch, which was the best I have ever had. The side salad had the best dressing on it too. So much food- we have lunch the next day. Service was the best too- so nice. read more

My wife and I went to the Garden for a last minute birthday dinner. Gorgeous presentation, with equally amazing dishes. The waitress was very helpful making food and drink recommendations to accommodate a food allergy. Fairly priced, Excellent quality. On a whim I ordered the Dubai chocolate bar. Fair warning, it did not have a listed price and ended up being $25. Would I do it again, absolutely! 5- 6" double layer chocolate bars stuffed with balaclava filling and honey and pistachios on top. I tried this place for the first time last week and overall my review is mixed. The inside is beautiful! They have a lot of seating inside and even outside. The employees were very nice and answered any questions I had about the menu. The food is my issue here. I loved the garden fries and I ordered some eggplant meatballs as well and they tasted delicious! The entree I ordered I was not a big fan of. The rice was so salty. I'm not sure if that's how they like to season it but I was not a fan. The shawarma chicken wasn't cooked the authentic way either, so you can tell it's not real shawarma chicken. The salad and dressings tasted great. The rose water lemonade is delicious I do recommend ordering that! Overall I give this place 3 stars because the service, appetizers and beverage was great. We ordered the garden mezza for 4 of us. What a great variety of chumous, baba Danish, grape leaves, falafel, and spinach pie. Everything was in the top 10 for us. The place is very clean and the staff are extremely friendly but we were disappointed with the taste of the food. We started off with the appetizers and the only one I enjoyed was the baba ganoush. Everything else had a different taste / twist on the dishes making the food not taste authentic from the Middle East. For our main course we ordered the gyro platters and wraps (falafel wrap and chicken ceasar wrap). The entrees weren't that great either. The gyros had a sour taste and the meat did not taste fresh - it tasted like it was reheated in a microwave. The wraps were okay but too much dressing making the taste empowered by the dressing. Overall this might be good for someone who isn't used to authentic Mediterranean food but for someone who is middle eastern it was a disappointment. read more

I was looking for something to grab to eat and came across this restaurant. I called in my order of a chicken wrap and chicken platter. When I arrived I had to find parking on the street. When I walked in I was greeted and waiting my turn in this small, cute cafe. My food was ready and I paid and left. When I dug in the food was good. The only thing I could of done without is the chips in the platter and the pickled cabbage in the wrap. All in all I had a good experience. read more

The staff is very welcoming and were happy to accommodate any requests we had, even to the degree that we tried the Arabic coffee and loved it so much that we have a large sample to bring home. The tzatziki sauce is lively and fresh, the salad greens are crisp and both the falafel and lamb exceeded expectations. The restaurant interior is a bit small but is airy and comfortable. Drove through Scranton and decided to get dinner here. The service was horrific and very unorganized. Placed an order for pick up over the phone and the owner doesn't even take a name down/give estimated time, just hangs up. Then when I show up, there's no communication going on (mid pandemic). No one knows how to match my order because there was no name given. Had to remind them of what I ordered... wait staff outside hanging out without masks and no sense of urgency or care. Finally, the food comes out and I am missing an item! (Ordered two wraps, one falafel and the other lamb, with spinach pie). Looking into the bag and only see lamb gyro. Happy I noticed before I went back to my hotel with my vegetarian girlfriend, who would've went without dinner. I ask about it and I'm told that I never ordered it... despite ordering it on the phone only minutes before. After a small confrontation, mindless waiting, and lots of miscommunication, I finally get everything and pay. As for the food: the spinach pie was subpar (lacked flavor, very thin and small). The gyro wraps on the other hand were flavorful and robust in size but terribly messy. All in all, I would say this place is probably not worth the hassle. Owners are dismissive and slow, food is pretty good though (but be wary of service). read more

I enjoyed the unique soda (date syrup and rose water), the Lebanese tea, and that there was something for everyone (wraps, mezze, salads). My salmon portion could've been a bit bigger.
