I'm always hesitant to try a professional worker, because I feel like it'll be too expensive or I'll get ripped off. I called him and he came the same day for a walk-through and estimate. He gave me some good suggestions and we set a date. He showed up and he wasted no time getting to work. He added 6 recessed lights and a ceiling fan (as he suggested) and 1 ceiling light fan in two additional bedrooms. He even came in a clutch and picked up AND replaced my water heater and fixed one of my ceiling lights in the kithcen. When it came to the final tally (bill), I felt like I got a good deal with quality work. He even delivered one of my sofa to someone nearby. Scottie is easy to work with. On 09/23/2022 I contacted sjo Electrical for a quote on an install of a ring flood light camera. A gentleman by the name of Scotty advised me it's an easy project, he could be at my residence within the hour, Scotty was just down the street at another job site. An hour and a half elapsed with no call or text. I called Scotty to check on his arrival, Scotty stated he got carried away due to the job having issues and he would contact me in a couple hours. Five hours go by so I decided to contact him again, no answer. The following morning I called back with Scotty apologizing and that he is delivering materials to the same job site from the previous day and that he's down the street. I was told he would be there within the hour, and again, no show. I called him back with him confirming an appointment with me at 12:00 and that he was coming from Summerlin,missing the within the hour window again, winding up in Summerlin when he told me he was down the street from me previously. Another three hours go by and he text me stating his truck broke down two blocks from me. Scotty sent me photos of his serpentine belt coming off. Scottie was great at first. Got the job done right away and just needed to pull a permit so we can finish our shed project. Thats where everything went sour. Its been almost a month with no permit pulled. We have repeatedly texted & called and the few times that he did response was he will call later or was sick. He stopped all communication with us. Life happens and I get that, but we have been patient for too long. We did pay in full with cash which was our mistake. And now we have to find and hire another electrician to pull the permit. I have waited for several days before posting this review, because I did not want my emotions to cloud my judgment. I received a quote from Scottie, the sole owner and electrician of this company. Five days later, I messaged him again asking if he had got around to scheduling me. He replied that he didn't know who I was. Said he got a new phone and lost all of his old text. Okay, I thought. Understandable. He told me he would be at my house on Friday between 8:00-9:00 in the morning. At 9:01 I texted asking if he was on his way. No answer. At 9:42, I texted him again asking if he was coming. Again no answer. Four days later, I messaged him again asking what he thought my Yelp review should say. I get a reply, "Who is this again?" He then said he had a major issue (didn't say what) and that sometimes things happen. I understand that. However, that is not an excuse to communicate, especially when you're running a business. So, if you want to take a chance on this guy, that's on you, because you've seen this review. "Forewarned is forearmed."
