I was in a hurry to get a mani/pedi and they had availability so I stopped by (first time). Not only was I waiting for someone to attend me for a while, but one of the techs kept yelling for one of the other techs in the back to finish up their lunch. While I was getting my French manicure, the nail tech asked if the thickness was okay. I asked for thinner and she was visibly annoyed. She asked me again if it was okay, and I said thinner. She was super annoyed, when she asked again, I just let it go. But they were so uneven and thick. Not only that but the rest of them were on their phones and one of them even too a nap on the massage chair. I also noticed they charged me more than what was listed on their service menu. When they left me to dry my nails, Nobody checked up on me for at least 30 mins. I had to ask if I could go. Never again. They did a carelessly HORRIBLE job and were unprofessional and inattentive. read more

I've been coming here 20 years and I can't believe they're being pushed out by a large developer -- the whole shopping center will close Oct 31st. Disappointing!! For one thing... gal wore her mask below her nose whole time. Also... no temp checks on patrons. Second, my callus treatment was garbage and that's one of main reasons I come for pedi. The photo is taken after that and paraffin wax treatment. So for callus treatment... all they did was put gel on one a hard sponge and scrub... that's it!! Both feet still felt rough. That wasn't worth $6! Really the whole deal was overpriced. If you are gonna charge per service, at least make it worth the fee! Lastly, after I expressed my disappointment about callus, the girl proceeded to talk to a co-worker in a foreign language . Obviously it was about what I said. So unprofessional! read more

Very friendly staff in a very comfortable environment. Typically it would seem awkward to be a man in one of these locations. Nonetheless, Tina makes it very nice to have a pedicure. My feet are definitely a train wreck and she does her best to revitalize them. I have been going to this location now well over two years and never had a bad experience. due to how terrible my feet are I go every other week and she's as friendly each time she was the last. read more

I have been to Mission Nails twice before, but the last time was at least a year ago. I decided to go back last weekend, because I remembered that they did an amazing job. I was honestly disappointed, as they really seemed to do a pretty adequate 3-star job, and nothing more. First, I will say that the ladies were super friendly, which is great, as sometimes the manicurists are a bit crass ...and often don't go out of their way to be friendly. I also loved the fact that they had many gel colors to pick from. I was disappointed though as I feel that they didn't have many colors of regular polish for met to pick from for my toes. I was slightly taken aback when they started to use the electric sander to remove my gel (murder for my natural nails). I asked her to stop and she agreed. My nails did look good, but the color on my nails looked way more clear than it did on the sample, so I was a bit disappointed about that. I allowed myself to be talked into the "deluxe" pedicure. I almost never let myself be up sold for pedis, but I really was in need of a good foot massage. They did do the massage, callous remover, and salt scrub, but unfortunately the massage was not great and they did it with the salt scrub on, which is not really the most relaxing massage. All in all, my nails look fine and my experience wasn't bad. I probably just won't go out of my way to return. read more

Sadly, I have to change my review from five stars to two. The ladies in the salon are absolutely amazing and sweet, but the gel manicures and pedicures they do are not up to par the last three visits I've had. I got my pedicure and gel nails done 12 days ago and half of them have already come off and my toenails have chipped. I think it's the fact that they do like 4 coats of gel on your nails which is way too thick! The last three times I've got my nails done here I spend a ton of money only to have them last for a little over a week which is insane. I think they need to put less coats of gel on because 4 is way too many. Even three is in my opinion. I'm sad to say that I probably won't go back here and spend over $70 to have them last for less than 2 weeks. :( read more

I returned back to Mission Nails only this time for a full acrylic set with gel polish. Tina serviced me and she was absolutely wonderful. Not only did she do a good job on my nails but was very friendly and sociable. I visit multiple nail salons because I choose which ones can take me the soonest and immediately came back to the shop after leaving from Pacific Nails & Spa on Broadway because a rude nail tech there practically kicked me out and refused to continue doing my nails after I told her that the shape was uneven and crooked (*sigh*). Good thing Tina from Mission Nails was able to do my nails evenly with no issue. I highly recommend going to Mission Nails if you like fair prices and good customer service, which many businesses seem to lack nowadays especially after the pandemic started. read more

I've been to this place multiple times and have never had an issue. Today my manicure was done in about 15 minutes and the lady was going so fast that she cut me pretty bad that it wouldn't stop bleeding the entire time. My cuticles and skin around the mail was also very poorly cleaned up. Will not be returning especially since I paid full price for something I could have done myself. read more

I came to Mission Nails looking for a nail spot closer to my new place in the College area. I was pretty impressed by the salon! Will definitely come back. Pro: - Clean and proper salon! - New machine chairs. - Mature manicurist's with great personalities!! Thank you Kim & Lee. - Great job on both Gel manicure & pedicure! - I thought it was cool how certain items that they used on my nails and toes, they put in a ziplock bag (nail file, buffer, toe separators) and give to you to bring back next time. So gives me a piece of mind knowing that each tools are new. Con: - This is an extremely busy shopping center with a small parking lot, so be ready to search non stop for a spot. - I'm not sure about the quality of the gel polish, they didn't provide the names on the samples. I have been to mission nails a few times and have always been underwhelmed, but today will be my last visit. I frequently do my own nails and I was reminded why when I went in for a spa pedicure today. The floors were not clean and I had to say no to the same up-sells multiple times. I don't like being pressured into buying things I don't want while I'm trying to relax. To top it off I left limping because my "relaxing" foot massage was so painful it left a bruise on the ball of my foot. I shouldn't have to ice my foot after paying for a service. A older woman named Tina assisted me and let me say Tina did a amazing job fixing my nails. You even receive your own nail filer and buffer to take with you and bring back when you come back to get a refill. My pedicure was done by someone else, they could do a bit better. I have had many pedicures and this nail shop is top notch. Everything is very clean, they take out instruments that have been sanitized and are in a package, and they social distance. The woman who gave me the pedicure was very gentle, gave a great leg massage and did an overall great job. I highly recommend it. read more

All I can say is do not go to mission nails! Literally the worst nail service I have ever received. The woman that did my nails was very rough when she cut my cuticles. It hurt! She painted my nails very sloppily then smudged them with her own hands and had the audacity to ask me "what happened?" The pedicure was done by someone else and she did a good job but the my big toes got smudged when I put on my sandals. That was my own fault but after waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time already and having my nails repainted I had to go back to work. Normally they put my shoes back on for me but not this time. I'll be going to another nail shop tomorrow to get my big toes repainted. I want a refund! The amount of frustration is unfortunately NOT refundable. read more

I have been searching for a decent nail salon in the area for more than a year. My search is over!!! I love this salon. I came in for gel polish change just to try it out. Carol, the owner, is super nice and a perfectionist. In the past a simple service like this would get rushed and done in a sloppy manner so the could move on to the next client. She really took her time making sure my nails looked amazing. The salon is very clean and quiet. No loud yelling throughout as with my previous salons. They just moved into this new, larger location. Everything looks very new and clean. And you can tip on your credit card!! The other customers looked very happy and relaxed. I am a regular customer at mission nails and here is why: they do more then just paint your nails, they give you the whole deal. The girls are nail doctors if you will. They know and use techniques to give you healthy nails while making them look and feel amazing. The services they offer are relaxing and perfect for any occasion; a girls day, preparation for an event, I've even taken my father there for father's day! The ladies are Vietnamese, and sometimes hard to understand if you do not listen to them. However, they have no problem repeating themselves. They are very sweet and give you the same respect you give them. If you have a short amount of time to get your nails done I would ask them if you can be done by a certain time. I also advise calling ahead as they do get very busy, but they will fit you in! Women, men, children and everything in between are welcomed. Pretty disappointed in my experience here. They were cheap and quick, but the woman who helped me (didn't get her name), cut my finger once. I could understand it, dry cuticles and all. But then when she was using the file she cut the nail bed on my big toe! Now, for the first time ever, I've got an infected toe from my pedicure. She slapped some liquid on it that burned, so I assume it was an antiseptic, but never told me what it was or said anything about the cut. Pretty disappointing and frustrating. Pedicure does look cute but my manicure only lasted a couple days. Wouldn't go back, not a fan of infection. read more

Nice clean salon, all the ladies are very friendly and will engage in conversation with you. All tools are individuals packages with a seal and you get to keep some of the items- they will place them in a plastic bag for you to bring back! Found this place from Yelp. A nice place, decent spa chairs, and the place looks clean. Was greeted upon entering. Great customer service. They did not rush or overcharge me. They did charge me $1 for toe separators and a nail file. I didn't think that was necessary but it makes sense. State board does not allow you to reuse nail files, buffers, or toe separators. This is their way of cutting down expense. I know because my family own nail salons. Very reasonable price. Again, I was not over charged. They did charge me $.50 for using my card. It would've been nice if they told me in advance they were going to charge me instead of doing it. Total for my pedicure was $20.50. Happy with my pedicure at the time. A week later, my polish started chipping. I NEVER had this problem ever. My toes could last a few weeks without chipping. Week 2 and my polish are terribly chipped and ugly. I'm assuming they use cheap nail polish and refill them in OPI bottles. Not sure if I would come back. read more

I've experienced way better!! My sister and I decided to look for a nail place closer to us and through great reviews, were led to Mission Nails. We arrived for our appointment and my sister's gel manicure was started much earlier than me (a pet peeve as this always leaves one of us waiting a while for the other to finish). We both got gel manicures. Her girl was soft spoken and looked uneasy as she did my sisters nails and it certainly showed in the final product. There was polish all around my sisters nails that the girl attempted to take off only AFTER my sister said something to her. Not even a week later, two of my sisters nails have completely chipped. An older woman did my gel manicure and did a nice massage. Overall, the manicure does not look bad although she filed my nails uneven... some round some square... and did not apply a thick enough coat of the polish because I can already see peeling in certain areas. Overall, we were pretty disappointed. We would rather make the drive to Mission Hills to get a service far superior than this. They gave us a ziplock bag of a nail file and polisher to bring back. Return? Highly unlikely. If you are at all particular about your nails and have high expectations of service, do not come here. read more
