Despite having 15 people to handle on his own, he was so patient & so kind. Took everyone's' order with a smile on his face and the craziest part was everyone has separate checks and everything was correct The ambiance was great. I have eaten from this Resturant for over a year now and they have been on point each time. One if not the best Resturants in this area. I love the chicken skewers, delish. Finally came in to try this after saying we would for 6 years! Everyone raves, so we knew we needed to give it a try. Seating was friendly and fast. We came in early, between 4-5, and there was only 1 other table in the dining room. Unfortunately, they decided to sit us right next to that table. As a couple looking for a romantic dinner, being seated next to a loud business-talking 4 top when there was literally every other table available is disappointing. But, we didn't want to fuss so went with it. Service took a minute to get to us, but it gave us time to study the menu. Ordered draft beer and wine. The wine was off, and so later I politely asked to change it to something else. She did not hesitate, the wine was removed from the bill, and the cocktail that came in place was FANTASTIC! Server was super friendly and nice and fast for the rest of the visit! Ordered ribeye steak entree and surf and turf (filet) entree, both medium rare. My filet was great. Excellent flavor, thick, and a HUGE area of medium rare inside. The ribeye was a little less amazing. Thin... maybe 1/2-3/4 inch. Wish we would have known this. When you order a ribeye medium rare that is that thin, it doesn't have enough time to sear the outside correctly or cook off any fat, so it doesn't develop the flavor you're expecting. Husband said it had nice seasoning, but he would order the filet next time. I would recommend to the restaurant that they get thicker cuts and charge a little more. My glazed shrimp was GREAT, and the sauce dripped down into the rice. Both of us loved the shrimp, rice and veg. We couldn't pass up dessert, so we had the banana cream coconut cake. DELISH! What a great combo of banana cream pie and coconut cake flavors. Overall, we'll definitely come back! But I wouldn't order the steak entrees again. We both thought a filet and shrimp skewer combo sounded like an excellent choice next time. But... we noticed this wasn't listed on the menu. So it's not clear if we'll have to order two skewer plates to achieve that (which would be ridiculously expensive) or if they have add-on skewers that are priced per skewer without the salad/rice/veggie tack-on. Would be nice to have that info on the menu so we don't have to ask, but we'll figure that out when we return. Of note - the place was half full when we left at 5:30 on a Thursday! That's a really decent showing, in my opinion. Definitely a compliment to the restaurant to be so busy, so early, on a weekday night. **OVERALL REVIEW** Out of all the Greek/Mediterranean food restaurants within the immediate Melbourne/Palm Bay area, Skewer Mediterranean Grill (which I will shorthand simply to Skewers for the remainder of this review) has been the one recognized as the high-end traditional dine-in restaurant. Formerly a suit-and-tie venue, Skewers has since grown to accept a more casual approach, yet keep its high-end experience. Changing with the times yet keeping their identity is one of the biggest reasons why Skewers has enjoyed prominence for so long, and if there is any place that deserves a rare five-star-review-on-their-initial-review, it is definitely Skewers. To be fair, I been going to Skewers for awhile now. I even went to Skewers before my self-induced career as a Yelper let alone an elite or all-star. Before I get to all that makes Skewers good, I will get the criticisms out of the way first. For starters, Skewers on the northside of US-192 in Indiatlantic/Beachside. This means parking is limited. Their parking lot is a travesty, too. Only one way and designed to be one direction in, too. If you park on the west side, you have to back up all the way to the street to exit. For those parking on the east side, you might get lucky if nobody is parking in front of you in the adjacent parking lot. Restroom situation is limited, too. Just a singular men and women's restroom which means a wait might happen. Now onward to all the positives. For starters, the interior is beautiful. From indoor seating, outdoor seating, and the bar, everything is high-end and runs on a precision that you'd expect at a five-star restaurant. The wait staff is very attentive even if they have numerous tables to deal with. Our waitress that initiated this review, Blair, was fantastic and even gave excellent suggestions on what I should order for the night. For the food, I ordered the Lamb Skewer dinner with an extra skewer of gyro meat, the Fattoush salad, and the Afternoon Tea Time specialty mocktail on their monthly drink specials. My good friend and adventuring sidekick, Paula, ordered the Greek Sampler. Finally, ended the night with a unique dessert that I like in all Mediterranean/Greek food, the knafeh. Details on the meals and prices are provided in the pics of the food. And of course this place is high-end so expect meals to be double-digit in dollars, going up to $50 per person for even one meal. Ultimately, I have nothing really bad to say about Skewers and everything else good to say about them, too. I have been here so many times, back when they had a simple rewards program to now in which you get even more goodies through their own app. If you ever get the chance to eat here, at least try it once. I get the price and the ambiance may be out of people's norm, but it is sitll a restaurant I highly-recommend for their experience, which includes the visual and palette-appeasing aesthetic of their food and the excellence of their service. read more

Restaurant right on street but it's tricky, parking in back. Seating inside and outside in a covered patio. Ordered hummus, pitas were thin and room temp/cold. We swapped them for an up charge of $3 to thicker Greek pitas which are warm and soft. This is worth the extra cost. Tenderloin skewers were soft and of high quality. I hate ordering steak anywhere other than a steakhouse due to it always being chewy but this was tender and melted in my mouth cooked medium. I'd order it again without hesitation. Chicken skewers had the option for a garlic sauce topping or sesame aioli sauce. Probably the sesame was better but I'll ask for both on the side next time. Lunch menu (until 4p) was cheaper and good size portions. The mixed grill also included a side of veggies along with the side salad and rice that the single skewer plates came with. This plate is for a bigger eaters. Service was fast and she was helpful. Very good meal here. Unfortunately, Skewers did not deliver. , Most of the food was average to pretty good, but far overpriced - probably a victim (or cynical profit scheme) of its Indialantic location. Of everything I tried, here's how I'd break it down: - Bland/Normal - - Hummus & Pita - - Chicken Skewer - - Beef Skewer - - Lamb Meatballs - - Caprese - Tasty/Delicious - - Salads (both House and Signature punching above their weight class) - - Pomegranate-glazed Shrimp - - Banana Coconut Dream Cake - - Melancholy Cure Cocktail So it definitely is funny that the entrees are far too expensive for what's plated, and the flavor profiles are not as dynamic and delicious as I've experienced, as compared to the side/smaller dishes. So, unfortunately, I cannot recommend based on food, even if there are some standouts. Otherwise, the service was great! We were serviced by the incredible Blair - she and the rest of the staff definitely deserve a raise! I was visiting the area on a solo trip, I sat outside and ordered their mixed grill lunch option. I had the chicken and shrimp skewers and I got everything as it came. The shrimp had a glaze on it that was really yummy and the dish came with a side of the lemon garlic sauce which tasted amazing! I'm glad I opted for the lunch portion because it was more than enough food. The parking to this place is in the back, and I'm glad I saw someone else's review mentioning that because I didn't even consider that an option not being from the area! We were seated indoors at a booth. The waitress, Brittany, was super nice and knowledgeable. We ordered the sesame chicken skewers and the Shish Taouk drizzled with garlic-lemon sauce. The skewers were served with a house salad before the meal, Jasmine rice, and squash & Carrots on the side. The chicken skewers were seasoned well and the rice was very good. The food here is always perfect! I came by yesterday and had the Mediterranean Sampler with a seasonal martini and loved everything. I especially love the falafel which is always so flavorful and the tabbouleh which is bright and fresh with lots of tomatoes and onions. Headline: $18 for a Veggie Sandwich? Overpriced, Authentic in Name Only, Where is the beef?!! Save your money and check your food before you pay. I paid over $18 for a Shish Kafta sandwich that was basically all bread and garnish. I'm not exaggerating--there was barely a morsel of meat in every bite. It felt like a total rip-off!!! As someone who has worked in Middle Eastern kitchens for years, this was a massive letdown. Red flags from the start: the waitress claimed Shish Taouk (tawook) is the "fastest" item (proper chicken takes time!), and the cook wasn't even middle eastern and clearly had no idea what he was doing. The Tabbouli arrived dry and unseasoned, no lemon juice or even wedges??? I ordered the Shish Kafta ($18+), and it was an embarrassment. There was so little meat it was practically a salad wrap. When you pay nearly $20 for a sandwich, you expect a proper protein portion, not a "hint" of Kafta. No lemon, no napkins, no utensils, no attention to detail. This place relies on the name of the food without understanding the food combining principles of the recipe. Check your bag before you leave, or better yet, go elsewhere.
