Thanks to Google Maps we found Plaines in Pittsfield and the fist bike we saw walking into the store was the most update electric assist bike made by s subsidiary of Trek which is the Electra Townie Go! 8i. We were so happy with the customer service we received from Claudia and Keagan that we bought two bikes. My husband and I are in our fifties and in all our years with all the purchases we have made, I can honestly say that no one has topped the service we received here. The mountain is not too small and not too large so perfect for families with kids. Affordable to actually stay on the mountain which is a must with little ones. Christiansens is a solid restaurant with good food and great beer with the perfect ski mountain atmosphere. The snowmaking team (Team Snowmagedon) knows what they are doing. While other mountains north or nearby are struggling, Jiminy has the good snow. They do well to combat the elements or rain or warmer weather. We always have a great time!!

The store is a fly fisher's dream ( or money trap because of how much stuff they have!) - they are fully stocked with Skis ( even in summer!) - Bikes, Kayak/Canoe gear, hiking gear, camping gear - and topped with a knowledgeable staff. Took my bike there to get fixed and they replaced the rear derailleur but the same problem…read morehappened, caught in spokes and mangled it. Someone there really doesn't know what he is doing. You're rolling the dice here. When I brought it to the shop in Belchertown, he found that the front spokes were way too tight and the wheel was way out of true, the rear skewer was about 30 years older than the bike, so not the same skewer that was on it when I brought it to Valley, got the gear shifting problem solved with a new Acera derailleur and all the adjustments for less than $70.
