Did a day rental and was given two right boots. Was pissed that I had to spend a ton of time renting equipment at the ski resort. But Caleb at Ski N See did the right thing and not only refunded my rental but covered the cost of renting at the resort (which was more than 2x the cost at Ski N See). Great service. read more

Reserved ski board equipment (resorts were sold out) and we were able to pick up the day before. Also, we were exhausted and did not drop off until the next afternoon. They simply asked if we had used the equipment that day (no) and trusted us thus no additional charges. The rate is very reasonable and close to the canyons so yes! Recommend! read more

Bought ski poles here, which immediately broke after 2 ski runs doing nothing abnormal for poles. Brought the poles in the day-of and Ski N' See refused to offer a refund or exchange for a clear manufacturing defect. Would be very cautious about buying any equipment here given this experience, especially when there are multiple ski shops right next door that would correct the mistake. Avoid! Two friends and I rented skis here & two of us had issues with our skis - both demos. My friends's ski bindings weren't set. And one of my ski's bindings fell off the ski on the first turn- thankfully I wasn't injured. Luckily Solitude ski patrol and staff saved our day.... they mentioned Ski N See's renters frequently come to them on the slope with issues. read more

Rented demo board package with hopes it was same quality as many other rental places. Board was decent but paired with low cost beginner boots that didn't fit and wouldn't stay tight as well as soft freestyle binding with loose highback that kept popping off the binding. Pretty crappy experience when trying to navigate mountains like snowbird on an icy day. Even though I reserved equipment there were no options for any other boot that fit nor binding that wasn't broken. Unfortunately it really ruined the trip for me, I was willing to pay additional for any equipment that fit better that was quality but there were no options. read more

Ski n See's customer service is f****** awful. Go anywhere else. Christy, Creekside, REI...ANYWHERE. This place is a joke. The staff is comprised of a handful of foolish, stoned/hungover young people who, understandably, work here for the lift tickets. On my first visit I rented a snowboard package. No one was in a hurry to be helpful. It was 8am, the store was moderately busy and I had to ask three separate employees for help before being referred to the rental area where the equipment (boots, board and bindings) was dated, heavily used and poorly maintained - probably time to retire some of your rental gear, guys! When I returned the gear I noticed they were having a storewide sale. I came back several days later and sank $270 (originally $350) into an Obermeyer jacket recommended by a sales rep who said, "pretty much everything in our store is gunna be quality, dude". The piece came with an included gaiter which the store manager helped me locate and said, "Wow, I didn't even know this came with it! I guess that's what you get for buying a really nice jacket" ...way to know your product, guy. It wasn't so nice. On my second wear the tabs broke on both cuffs of the liner which secure it to the shell. Now every time I remove the jacket the liner pulls out and has to be pushed back into the sleeve...first world problem, yes, but shouldn't happen so quickly on a "quality" product. I attempted to return the thing because of the defect and the very young senior employee refused to accept it because he was "scared to lose his job, dude" (acceptable). After a while he agreed to call the GM who also denied the return and forced me to contact Obermyer directly. The best part: the first thing Obermeyer states on their customer service webpage is this: "Should you find a defect in materials and/or. workmanship in an Obermeyer product, please contact the retailer where you purchased the product. Most of our retailers have very reasonable return. policies and will gladly help you." -obermeyer.com There was nothing glad nor helpful about my experience. Only incompetence, reluctance and noncompliance. Ski n See's customer service is absolutely atrocious. Do not buy or rent anything from this store. No stars. read more

The staff at Ski N See Park City are nothing short of incredible! They couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Efficient rentals (even on busy days), free and convenient overnight storage, easy refunds for days not used, and very reasonable prices to begin with. I also loved that their benches had lift-up storage so we could stow our after-ski boots and we didn't have to tromp back and forth to the buses in them (more rental places should have this - a small but thoughtful amenity!) Last (but definitely not least) they went out of their way to ship my 90 year old mom's skis so she wouldn't have to carry them home after she decided she was hanging up her skis after 72 years! Many many thanks to Braxton, Tyler, Casey, Josh, Eva, Brody, and Anna for their friendly and helpful service! I cannot recommend Ski N See Park City enough. If we return to Utah, we will definitely use them again. read more

This company does not stand behind the quality of their equipment. They rented me a board, and when I got on the mountain the front binding was not stable. After repeated adjustments on the mountain, I could not stabilize it. It jiggled in a way that made riding annoying. So when I went to return the rental and ask if they stand by their equipment, they basically said no and something to the effect of "It's a rental binding and that's the way it is" and refused to do anything. I've been renting boards for a decade, and this was not normal. But they don't want to do anything to help. read more

I truly hate leaving bad reviews but certain situations warrant negative reviews especially when you have tried everything else and the business has been completely unresponsive. First- I made a reservation online for a demo snowboard and a set of skis to be picked up out of the bountiful store (since that was the closest store to Snowbasin). Before hand I called to ask if there was an option to pick what board I wanted. The lady I talked to on the 1800 number told me if the bountiful store didn't have what I wanted and another store did they would make sure it was at the bountiful store the day of my arrival. I called the bountiful store to confirm that my order would be there and they said no and that they don't do demo snowboards out of their store............. .......... :-/ Am I being punked? Not only did I make a reservation to be picked up from this store. I then called and was told it will be there. Me being on vacation making sure before I made the 30 minute drive over to the location to pick up or order. Was then told I have to go drive to a different location to pick up my rental, which was even further away. A bit irritated but wasn't going to let it ruin my mood. Then drive to the downtown Salt Lake City location to pick up our order. I didn't need boots because I brought mine from home. They asked if I would grab the boots. So I went back to the car to grab them. Not a big deal. Although my registration form had my size boot and everything they needed to know including my stance and spacing preference. Brought the boot in and the guy glances at it puts it into a binding then does his thing. We take a look around I get my daughter a BS ski mask and rent a helmet. Pay the 265.00 don't even ask to get a discount for not using their boots in the package was just excited to get up on the mountain with my daughter. Didn't double check the "professionals" and their work. First mistake on my part... Then Get to snowbasin mountain buy our Passes go to strap in and notice my feet are swimming in these bindings. Take two runs with my feet wanting to eject from my bindings and go ask around for a screw driver to put the straps on the smallest setting they have. Also to move the the binding more toward the toes. I then noticed that I was given a Large binding for those who don't know what size of foot you need to have to fit into a large binding it's a 10.5+ at least. A Medium binding 8-10.5. MY BOOT SIZE IS 8.5!!!!!! That's 2 sizes smaller! Talk about a huge cluster! I then call the shops and absolutely nothing no help. Not from the 1-800 number or the actual store. Guess who gets to drive back to the shop to fix the shops mess up and completely waste a day, gas and time doing so. read more

Saw an ad for discounted lift tickets at Ski-N-See when we went to pick up a rental car. Turns out it was right next door to our hotel, so we thought we'd check it out. Got our lift tickets for the following: Brighton: $52 (regularly $58) Solitude: $55 (regularly $62) Snowbird w/ Tram: $62 (regularly $72) 3 stars for discounted lift tickets. Minus 1 star for lack of genuine service. -It would have been nice to know that Solitude had been offering lift tickets of $39 for several days before we arrived (eh, part of making a sale). -For Snowbird, when he asked us "tram" or "no tram," we asked what the difference was, and all he said was the tram takes you higher whereas "no tram" you have to hike upwards to different lifts. As soon as we heard hike upwards, we bought the tram tickets. Not only is that a lie because the Peruvian Express chair lift runs parallel with the tram, but perhaps the more relevant point he should have mentioned was all the runs from the tram are blacks!! Maybe I should have done better research beforehand, but the first rule of business is to know your customer. read more

We went here recently on a trip to SLC. The process was straightforward and smooth. It's better to buy the lift tickets here too since they sell at a discounted price compared to the cost at the resorts. There were 3-4 tiers to the pricing for the gear. The sales rep immediately suggested the highest price. I was working with a budget in mind and asked for the tier below. I didn't say anything but there was another tier below that available but the sales rep didn't even mention this as a possibility. However, they could be set by skill level so perhaps it wasn't suggested since my use would not work for that line. I didn't ask so I don't know. It would make more sense for them to be more upfront and verbalize it "Since you're a beginner/intermediate/expert we have options A/B/etc for that skill level". Anyhow, a lot of the staff seemed to be younger late teen/early 20s. They seemed knowledgeable about the various resorts and were helpful. Since our lodging situation changed during the trip they allowed us to return the equipment to a different store location. This was incredibly helpful and saved us an hour drive during the trip. I would have rated higher if I felt like the pricing was a bit more transparent and the recommendations came across as based on skill level rather than generating more profit. read more

Recently took a road trip from California to SLC for a New Year's gateaway. Our group and I reserved our snowboarding equipment online prior to arriving to the shop. When we arrived, the shop completely ran out of snowboarding gear. I was trying to be understanding as New Year's was around the corner, however they directed us to another other shops that also did not have equipment (after they had just spoke to someone saying that there was.) Finally the third shop had enough equipment to accommodate our party of 6. The have great prices and are located in convenient spots, however should have indicated on their website and had better customer service when they run out of equipment. read more

Great customer service. I picked up my ski and boots at Park city mountain and dropped off at Peaks hotel location which was very convenient. I was told that I can return the ski and boots at any Ski N See location. The boots and ski fit well, had no issues. read more

Ski rental - 3 Stars: my buddy rented his skis from them and he was trying different sizes out of a ski he really liked each day and they were very accommodating. Prices were okay for an off the mountain shop, but not the cheapest. Lift tickets - 1 Star: Snow conditions were very sketchy so we were only buying tickets one day at a time since this place was right by our hotel. We bought our "discount" lift tickets here for three days. First day we bought Snowbird and it was no problem. Second day we bought Alta and the shop told us the tickets could be added on with additional days online for the same price. We tried to do that and couldn't. We asked them at the ski shop the third morning and they said we could buy them at the window at Alta for their same "discounted" price on the same "refillable" tickets. We went to Alta and were told the tickets we had weren't refillable so we had to pay full price. When I told them what happened at the shop when we returned my buddy's skis, they had no clue the tickets weren't refillable and couldn't have cared less. Very disappointing experience. There are plenty of other shops that can probably take better care of you. read more

They seemed a little disorganized -- kind of a scrum to get waited on (similar to their other locations). Like all ski rental places this is basically manned by a bunch of stoner types who will volunteer information on places to ski or ride. They are very good about discounts if you reserve on line. Discounted tickets to most area ski resorts (exception being Park City) are available. read more

I have rented from here multiple times. I give them a solid 5/5 stars. Had a minor issue with one of our pair of boots... went back to store after long day of skiing, they refunded us the whole day for the inconvenience of having to come back to exchange them. Equipment has been great, and the one time it wasn't they refunded us... so... this is the kind of customer service I can get behind. If I could give no stars I would!! Terrible customer service. We told the guy that we were snowboarding, bought board wax and he sold us tickets to deer valley a skiers only resort. When we told him what happened he didn't really have anything to say except that he could exchange the tickets. I asked him what he could do for us as compensation, he said he could do nothing. I work in sales, high end sales, and I know you can always do something. Very poor customer service. I do not recommend going here. read more

They heavily advertise a 20% discount for ski rentals over 2 days, but do not make it clear that the price listed on their website already shows the discounted price. Very sketchy. We reserved our equipment online prior to arriving in SLC to receive the 15 or 20% discount. We arrived at our hotel and found that they had a bigger discount card for ski n see - I believe it was 25%! There was plenty of staff working to help us at ski n see. They all seemed knowledgeable about the equipment. We both rented the demo boards and really enjoyed the boards. I actually came back to ski n see after the first day of boarding to exchange my current board for the Burton Hate that my buddy was raving about. The staff were very friendly and didn't mind that there wasn't anything wrong with my original board, I just wanted to demo another board. We also utilized ski n see for their discounted lift tickets. The staff even looked up road closures for us and gave us helpful advice on how to get up to the resort while the canyon road was under 4x4 restrictions (we didn't have a 4x4). I would definitely use this company in the future. read more

I was in town for a conference and wanted to do a day of snowboarding. Didn't really have any issues with the service as others have had. Walked in and they had about 3 people working at the counter with about 4 people looking to rent equipment. Was able to fill out the form and get fitted for a board and boots in under 15 minutes. They didn't really have much in the way of Demo boards so if that is what you are looking for you may be out of luck but it looks like they have tons for the regular stuff. Board rental was $29 for a day. They also had discounted lift tickets which is the main reason I went in. Was able to save about 20% off the list price for board tickets and they gave recommendations on where to go since I asked. The staff was friendly and I had no issues with the shop. Board was waxed well and really had no problems using the lift ticket or the equipment. I would come back again if I needed gear but I only looked on the web and not yelp first so maybe there are other places around. If you are looking to rent this is a decent spot if you don't have to wait. read more

We rented skis from the SLC downtown Ski N See this week and had a pleasant experience with them. We rented the preferred ski (Rossi experience 80) which I found easy and enjoyable to ski. We ended up returning the skis a day early due to inclement ski weather and they kindly comped us a day which we really appreciated. We also bought lift tickets off of them for a slightly reduced rate. Overall a great experience with no complaints! read more

Terrible service! I've been using this shop for convenience and for their ability to sell discount lift tickets for several years, but never came with my wife. This was her first time skiing. There has always been subpar customer service and equipment quality not the best, but this time I had enough. My wife and I came down for a three day ski vacation. We came to the shop to rent the equipment. Staff rented us two wrong size boots for my wife and store manager, knowing that we are there for 3 days, sold us lift tickets that we couldn't use that weekend because of black out dates. On the first day of skiing, because boots were completely wrong size, my wife had terrible shin bangs all over her lower legs. It was so bad, she couldn't ski for the rest of the trip. Needless to say, our first ski vacation together was ruined. On daily basis we visited the Ski N See location to address our problems. The staff of Park City location was outstanding. Unfortunately, some things had to be resolved with a store that rented us equipment originally, so In front of us, store manager from Park City called Salt Lake City location and gave them all the details of what's been going on. When I came back to the store to address the issue with the store manager, instead of apologizing for their mistake (mind you, he was the one who sold me the wrong ticket in the first place) and see what he could do to make up for our lost time, began an investigation and interrogation process, quizzing us on how we skied, how many days and who did we talked to. Even though there were notes left for him and staff of the store knew exactly who we are, store manager acted like he knew nothing about it. He was the final authority , as he firmly put to us, and decision on what to do was up to him. I don't have to do anything for you, he said, because tickets are not refundable and he's not sure if we actually used the equipment. Only after I told him that I will never shop at this store again he managed to give us our money back for wrong tickets we couldn't use and for my wife's rental fee. I couldn't believe the service we received after our vacation was ruined because of the negligence of the store. read more

Among the worst service I've ever came across. Skis that I rented were total crud. They were all chewed up and gave me a horrible skiing experience. They recommended Brighton Ski Resort for me. Knowing I was staying in Park City, they gave no warning that the main route was closed for the winter. When the GPS led me to the closed route, I turned around and called them. I requested an exchange for a closer resort so that I didn't have to go all the way back to Salt Lake City and waste another hour driving, and they refused. They continued to be sarcastic and rude throughout the entire phone call. In addition, they nickel'd and dime'd me the entire way trying to draw me into extra add ons and fees. Worst rental place I've ever been to. read more

Went to 3 different locations, after each one "called ahead to confirm" that the next one would have what I wanted, only to arrive and find that they had something different than what I am looking for. The 2nd store was even angry that I didnt just settle for what I didnt really want! The first one was nice enough (cottonwood heights), but the employees didnt know very much about actual equipment. The 2nd one (Arcs in cottonwood heights) NEVER AGAIN! The last one, Ski n See in Sandy, were not busy but it took 10 minutes to get any help. Guess what Ski n See, there are PLENTY of other places here in Utah to find what I want. Sorry I wasted so much time with YOU! read more

Convenient location to hop onto i15 and head to the mountains. I got the basic cheapo ski rental and was expecting basic equipment - which is what I got. What I wasn't expecting was the horrendous stench from the boots. They smelled so bad that I had to have my windows open the whole drive to park city. In hindsight I can't believe I wore these things for a day. When I returned them, I kindly told them about the smell, in a tongue-in-cheek way. I received no apology or explanation - which makes me believe it's a typical occurrence that they weren't bothered by. With all the rental shops in town, there's no need to rent from a place that can't keep the equipment clean. read more

The staff here was very helpful. They had the best deal on lift tickets that we could find, and they were really quick about ringing us up on the tickets. We also looked at some gear, and they were helpful, but didn't seem to have a ton of inventory/options for us... or they just seemed a little more apathetic about it. Oh well... read more
