I don't leave reviews often but thought I'd leave one to say that Chris J. is a great guy to work with. I came in wanting to add a couple used clubs to my bag, he helped me pick a few to try out while making sure to stay within my budget. Even gave me a couple pro tips on my swing. Never going again. They are trying to sell you whatever is the most expensive and lie about it. Bought a club from a young man telling me it's amazing and great. Used it and nope it sucked went to return it, I worked with the same guy. He told me that this was just stock and not special. Spent $500 and they would give $14 in stole credit to return it. Went to get fitted, dude was super knowledgeable and I found some great irons for my current game. I settled on a used set, took them to the range that night and had two of the heads come unglued from the shafts. Brought them in to ask if they could do anything for me and they took them to repair them (even the ones that didn't unglue) no questions asked. Great spot to get fitted and find the right clubs for your game, with some integrity as well. read more

Had a great experience here getting fitted for a driver. I had Nuget helping me out and he was knowledgeable, thourough, and made sure that everything was perfectly dialed in for me. He had to order me a shaft and said it wouldn't be in until the following Thursday. I told him I was going out of town Thursday to play golf and asked if there was any way he could have it done earlier. He checked around and is getting my driver to me by Tuesday (New Years eve) to make sure I've got it by the time I go out of town. That to me is great customer service. Two part review: 1. Repair department: Total 5 star for their club repair department. The guy that runs it is awesome. Professional, personable, friendly. Give that man a raise. 2. Retail shop: Zero (0) stars. Limited left handed clubs, new and used. Some of the worse retail associates anywhere in any industry. On their phones, huddled up talking about their last round, calling me dude...I'm not your dude, Junior. Dusty merchandise and a garage sale visual feel to the whole store. Whoever manages this place needs to get a visit from "corporate" and make the kids get off their butts to straighten inventory and do some customer service training. I suspect the only reason this place is still in business is because there is no competition for golf equipment in SLC. PGA Super Store would kill this place. Bottomline: This place is so bad it makes me want to take up tennis. Pro Tip: Did I mention the repair shop manager is a pro? Do yourself a favor and hire more guys like him. read more

Definitely function of commission. They won't tell you the specs of the measurements. I went to the PGA store after. They are so much better with significantly better customer service. They are transparent and want to help you. UNITA golf just wants to sell you anything. PGA store seems to have more experience behind them as well. read more

A great local place for golf needs. Staff sells product based on your needs and answers to their questions....instead of targeting highest priced items to simply sell. Good variety of items and if they don't have it in stock, they will order it for you. Best part, is a 90 day guarantee that you will like and enjoy what you bought. If not, even if worn outside(say shoes), you can return them. Staff is very attentive, knowledgeable, interactive with the purpose of understanding your needs and preferences, to get the most appropriate product in your hands. If you're a female golfer, avoid this place is my advice. Staff seem to be having a great time with one another every time I come in. twice I've come in to try clubs and I've been left alone, not checked on, the second time the sensor needed to be adjusted to detect the ball, no one came by who i could tell. The women's specific drover had a shaft on it that was too long. My partner is male and of color, he's had poor service too. They've got a ton of negative reviews but they don't seem to have adjusted their service at all. read more

I just bought a set of irons at Uinta golf, and the experience was great. They had a great selection of new and pre-owned clubs, and Tyler spent plenty of time to help me find the clubs that fit my swing, and my price range. As a novice golfer, I was worried I would feel like a hack walking into a nice golf store. This was not my experience at all. Uinta golf is my go to when it comes to anything golf. I'm not the average looking golfer. Youngish dirtbag skateboarder with tattoos. Not once have I walked in that store and not felt like norm from cheers. Everyone is really nice and helpful. I've brought multiple friends in and we are always able to choose from an enormous variety of new and used clubs, available at all times. Knowledgeable staff are there whenever you need and quick with an accurate answer to any question. If you like to support local this is the place to do it at. I hit a few used clubs. I decided on one for $320. I asked a guy about the adjustment tool. He made a slight adjustment and asked if I was going to buy the club. I told him yes. He said the club had a $200 shaft on it and was mis-marked. Went to talk to a manager and came back and said the club would be $420. I walked out without the club. Bugged me all day about how poorly it was handled. read more

Just picked up a brand new set of Srixon 765's and had a world class experience! I came in several times and worked with a couple sales guys, Tyler & Mitch. Uinta golf in SLC deserves negative stars. Worst customer service I've had from a sales person in a long time. Obviously did not see the value of selling a new $350.00 Callaway club to a woman. His dismissive attitude was weird considering there was no other customers in the place on a Friday afternoon. Backward sexist mindset. Not a recruiter for the sport that's for sure! I used to be a big Uinta Golf supporter but over the last few years I have tried to stay away. I have had only but good things to say about Uinta, but I have stopped going a few years ago. I decided I would go back after three years of not going. I went three times in two weeks and experienced the same customer service as I had when I decided to not come back. Every time I go in, there is no customer service. The first time out of the three I went back, I wasn't greeted, talked to, or acknowledged once. Giving them the benefit of the doubt u went back a few days later. Same thing happened. Not one word. After that I wanted to see how long I could walk around without being talked to or helped. After walking around for 10 minutes some one came to me and asked if I needed help. That was the first time I went there in 3 years and someone asked me if they could help find something. All other experiences are them ignoring or staring you down. read more
