This is my first time at Best Barbershop. I called in before…read morecoming. I came in right around closing time. I am not sure because of this causing my barber was rough on my head and ears. Thomas was my barber. I showed him the haircut picture and he took a picture and followed the work. The quality was okay. The vibe was quiet. Improvements: - Clean tools after using to serve the next clients for hygiene. - Be gentle when turning customer's head and pressing down ears because my barber pushed my head too hard and harsh and pressing my ears way harder than necessary. It does hurt and I got headache. Customers come in to relax, enjoy the service and get fresh cuts. - If too late and cannot take in more customers please put closed sign because customers would not want to be treated rushing and unwelcoming attitude. - I do not know why my barber did things different on previous customer and me. My barber was so gentle cleaning up mustache for previous customer. When it is my turn, my barber was too harsh and rough on my head and ears. I do not like it this part! - I showed the picture to my barber and it looks like they did not like it that I gave the example of skin fade work. Maybe my barber was rough and pushing my head too hard. Please do not do that to your customers! - Should provide shampoo and the service can charge up to $25 including shampoo. Because other places I go that is what I pay for. Here I pay $22 and rough hot towel on the back of my head. No cleaning my neck line and side line at all. It was not neat as expected. Thank you!

I found LG on a search looking to clean up my beard and touch up my hair for a dinner and an event. It was short notice, and my Bespoke experience began before I even arrived. There arose a scheduling issue that he worked personally with me from jump to accommodate my schedule. Check. I arrived and was greeted warmly, escorted to his private studio, and we sat and chatted about what I was looking for. I'm a newbie when it comes to facial hair, and struggled with how to describe my intended look. No problem. LG took the extra time to ensure he could envision what result I was seeing in my head. He cared solely about me. Check. We began and found some areas of life experience we shared and chatted about those in a very casual but real sense. It wasn't small talk. He genuinely cares. And you feel it. Check. What seemed like a very short time later he was done, and I have never been happier with the results in my life and I'm 50! Check. Getting this type of service is new to me, a gift to myself for turning 50. And it was the best gift I could have chosen. When you're ready for a legit barber experience with a true professional and gentleman of the highest standards, LG is your man! I feel like I went in for just a service and came out with a friend. 1/5 -- Great Ambiance, Questionable Barbering…read more Let me start by saying this: Hammer & Nails in Leesburg has a NICE setup. The ambiance? . The bar? Cool. The chairs? Comfortable. The whole place makes you feel like you're about to have a luxury experience. Then you ask for a fade. And suddenly you realize the bar is the only thing getting a smooth finish. I'm not even trying to be disrespectful, but if you're going there specifically for a haircut, PLEASE manage your expectations. If you want a drink, a manicure, a massage, or possibly a blowout, you might be in the right place. But if you want a CLEAN fade? ... RUN. I genuinely believe you'd have better luck giving yourself a haircut using your front facing camera and a pair of kitchen scissors. At one point I was looking in the mirror thinking, "Maybe this is just the first stage. Maybe they're cooking." Nope. They weren't cooking. They were microwaving. I'm not naming names because I'm not trying to ruin anybody's day, but let's just say this: if you're walking in there specifically asking for a fade, make sure whoever is holding the clippers has demonstrated that they know what a fade actually is. Because I didn't ask for a fade. I asked for a faith-based experience. I had to pray over this haircut. And the funniest part? You walk out looking at yourself like, "Maybe I'm just being dramatic." Then you get in your car. You turn on the interior light. You look again. And you realize... "OH. THEY REALLY DID THAT." So yeah, Hammer & Nails gets a solid rating for atmosphere. Very courteous, professional and skilled. I arranged for a manicure for my mom and pedicure for my dad, both done by Jacqueline. She was very warm, polite and professional from start to finish. Both of my parents really enjoyed it so I will be bringing them back. You're always greeted warmly by the front staff with choice of a beverage. The vibe is upscale but not too stuffy.
