Been coming here for years and overall has been great. However the new barber named Young has messed up hair up the last two times. I would give this place a 0 star if possible took my kids to get their haircuts here and Worst place they don't sanitize tools and they didn't even tell me what had happened until my som came up to me and told me his neck was burning i checked him and saw he had cuts around his neck very unprofessional when i told TOM who cut his hair he acted like he didn't even do it when it was bright red and right there in front of him. I don't know if Brandon is new but he was so rude to us on our recent visit. We normally go to Peter, who is awesome, but he had already left for the day. Unfortunately, Brandon was the only one available. When he asked what cut my son needed, I told him the same, just shorter. Brandon then asks how much shorter. I told him I didn't know how much so I took some of my son's hair btw my fingers and tried to guess how much needed to be cut off. Brandon just stands there with the most impatient look on his face waiting for me to give him an answer. Shouldn't he already know how to do that? I have taken my sons to many barbers and have NEVER been asked to give an exact measurement on how much hair needs to be cut off. I don't carry a freaking ruler in my pocket! So he tells us we should just come back the next day so Peter can cut my son's hair. That comment infuriated me! He simply did not want to be bothered so instead just blew us off. Unbelievable!!! This is my "go to" shop. I live in Purcellville, but drive to Snips (in Leesburg) for my haircuts.

This palce has no idea what they are doing. We have tried them twice. Asked for a high and tight and they cut to the skin. That is NOT a high and tight. They just blow your hair off of you with the blow dryer. Other places will either use a nice hot towel or rinse you so you are not itching like crazy. Avoid this place if you want to keep your hair in a decent fashion. read more

The staff is very friendly and the service is top notch. I've got the best haircuts ever there, and they go above and beyond with the hot towel service and warm shaving cream/razor cleanup that is always included. My son and I went in for haircuts and both stylist ignored my request. For my son I asked that they keep his scruffy curly hair, he ended up with a standard short in the back parted on the side boy cut. It's hard to tell a 5 year old that he will get his curls back in a few months. I told my stylist that she need to leave my thick hair longer on the sides or it would just stick out. After cutting it short and texturizing she coated it in gel to keep it from sticking up. 2 stars because it was clean and our hair didn't look awful. read more

What a BAD haircut experience. The "Hair Stylist" Peter gave me my worst haircut EVER!!! Asked for same as what I had and to be sure to feather each side and make sure towards the back both sides were even as I have a cowlick on one side. To address the cowlick he decides to just cut it super short. To my shock Peter cuts that side of my head 1/4" long then 1" inch long on the other. Then 4" inches long in the back to cover a thinning spot. No feathering. WHAT A MESS. Will NOT ever go back! read more

Peter is awesome! Peter was referred to me from a friend because my toddler screamed and cried during haircuts. I warned Peter what was going to happen the first time he tried to cut my son's hair, but my son didn't scream or cry! After moving to Leesburg this past spring, I've been looking for a decent barber. I've been to Snips a handful of times, and each time in the past one of the barbers gave a decent haircut. Nothing to write home about, but I'm not too picky and it was good enough for me. Today, however, was an entirely different experience: they shaved two inches out of my beard with a pair of clippers without me saying anything about touching my beard. It's not like I have a goatee or anything. I have a full beard and a full head of hair, and I like them to be connected.
