Got a haircut and head shave today. They are very friendly. They did offer water, soft drinks, coffee, tea My barber was great, very professional. No nicks or cuts on my head. I love this place and quickly got a monthly membership (which pays for two services a month at a discount). Everyone is hospitable and, though it's usually too early for me to indulge, they have a terrific free bar for people getting services. The music is a great mix and the whole place just feels upscale. I've seen a bunch of the stylists here. Patti M. is my personal go-to (my son and I both ask for her whenever she's working). An update here - never have I had a more responsive owner and manager when it came to rectifying a problem. I wrote a review a week or so ago regarding a bad experience I had...nothing to do with quality of the services offered and performed...solely the customer service of one employee... well the owner and managers response and reach out was more then anyone could of hoped for. I'm excited to go back and have more services here - and look forward to considering a membership. Recapping the most positives parts of my experience again... The facial is uses great products and is quite a treat. The front desk desk/bartender/barista was AMAZING. Seriously! Couldn't have been more helpful, kind, and engaging. She went out of her way for me and everyone else she assisted. I arrived early, see gave me a tour, offered a drink, and told all about the services of the shop. I tried to add a Manicure to the pedicure treatment and she went out of her way to make it happen. She was unsuccessful due to how busy they were but her efforts were unmatched. The pedicure and nail technician was awesome. She did a fantastic job, super relaxing. Exactly what I would expect from a pedicure at a mens shop. I'm seriously was considering signing up for a membership.... It's a great idea and the vip member and even the club luxe was a great deal...I could see getting a use out of the luxe since I typically get a manicure and pedicure a every other week and hair cut every 3..but would Do it more often if I had the membership. Hard pass! The staff is polite so I'll give them a second star but the abortion I got they excuse as a haircut is not excusable, and no amount of nice furnishings or free drinks makes up for it. This "barber" made no effort to even my hair on top when he cut it, guy just combs it to the center in what looks like a half assed faux hawk then just cuts down the middle with the scissors and calls it a day. When I pointed out he left the front of my hair twice as long as the rest and asked him to blend it a little he combs down the bangs and takes the hair from about 2" to a quarter inch. If his goal was to add to my forehead he nailed it. Find a different place and save yourself the disappointment. read more

Excellent place to get a haircut! I saw Noora for a haircut (she did an awesome job with a razor fade). Due to some scheduling hiccups, they also gave me a half-off pedicure. I sprang for it, thinking I was already there, so why not. Payton took care of the pedicure, and it was a neat experience. Definitely recommend this place: it's got a relaxed atmosphere; the staff are friendly; and they'll get you fixed up and looking good. read more

AMAZING!!! No better words to describe my experience at Hammer & Nails Leesburg! This location just opened up at the beginning of 2021 and it is now my favorite place to go! I've always thought that mani pedis are for the ladies, but let me tell you, I have been missing out!! From the very beginning, the experience has been exceptional! Lilly and Ilona both introduced me to the idea of getting a membership and it was the best decision ever to pull the trigger on this package! Now I get to have an amazing day once a month minimum to get treated like a king and coming out feeling and looking like a million bucks! To start things off, Jazz hooked me up with a great haircut and phenomenal beard grooming that was much better than expected. Best haircut and beard grooming I have ever had hands down! Next I went over to Kim for a milk and honey mani pedi. That was first for me but it certainly won't be the last. SUPER relaxing and too notch! Kim has so much experience and it truly shows! If you want to chat you can chat, if you want to watch tv and relax, you can do that as well with noise canceling headphones and high end big screen TVs for everyone! Not only will your feet and hands be in heaven, but you can also get a glass of wine or a beer while you are there! To top things off, they even have a sweet or savory snack tray for you as well! They really do think of everything!!! Came back 2 weeks later and got another Mani Pedi! This time with Erinn who was AMAZING! Super friendly and awesome tattoos! Nice conversation and the definition of relaxing! This time I got the beer infused (Hops and Cedar Premium Mani Pedi) which still had the hot wax and scrub and foot massage! Loved it!! Next time I will try the Big Daddy Premium Mani Pedi as I hear that one is super popular as well! Anyway, I could go on and on about how totally awesome this place is but you will have to come and check it out yourself to truly understand the experience here. I have and will continue to recommend Hammer & Nails to all of my friends and family and I highly recommend that if you are reading this review you come and check it out! I love my time getting some me time. The staff is always attentive. It lives up to the advertised expectations; it definitely caters to guys with a laid back environment. I've had numerous nail techs take care of me (Jacqueline, Kimmy, Erin, Patti, and Layla). Every single one of them has been fantastic. Also, do not sleep on their beer selection. Today I was in a bit of a rush I wasn't able to book James like I normally do because I waited until the last possible second to make a reservation.. I ended up getting a perfectly executed classic cut from Shawn. To me, that is the mark of a world-class team of incredibly talented barbers.. The fact that I can go and have my haircut by just about any artist at hammer and nails and walk out feeling like I've received a world-class cut is the mark of a good organization. Erinn (does my pedicures) is a perfectionist, in my opinion. She'll make sure everything is to your satisfaction. I like that. She'll converse with you or leave you to your phone. I keep coming back because of her attention to detail and her professionalism. Jaz is my master barber. He is just that. His knowledge of most things always keeps conversations interesting or he'll leave you to your thoughts. I always walk out with a good looking haircut. Tough to give this place a low rating, the first time I was in and became a member it was really nice. This time, not so much. I was in for the premium pedicure which has a hefty price tag, but I get that in part you're paying for the environment. Which, the first time was quiet and comfortable. This time, the environment was lacking, here's why. *The staff there is super nice BTW, just saying. So anyway, I sat down and immediately started hearing some cheeseball sitting at the bar near the "man cave" conducting a virtual meeting. No headphones, just out loud - disruptive, for everyone to hear. I asked the lady doing the pedicure if he was going to do his whole meeting there, she didn't know. I was clearly annoyed. Anyway, it didn't take long to realize this guy was somehow connected to the brand and he was on with others from the brand. Iiona was mentioned a few times (she might own the place) and apparently he wasn't able to pronounce her name. Having sat through numerous similar business strategy meetings, it becomes apparent when someone is just throwing out buzz words and catch phrases to make it appear that they actually have a pulse and are contributing. That's exactly what this asshat was doing; he just liked to hear himself talk. In the entire hour of being interrupted by this jackwagon, it didn't appear that he contributed a single piece of valuable information to the team. (BTW: If this guy is on the payroll for the brand, you all should seriously consider using your money elsewhere. Hell, you could pay me half of whatever he's making and I'll jump on your calls using my own WiFi - as opposed to that of your business - and toss out a few buzz words here and there.) I literally sat through an hour (while I was supposed to be relaxing) of listening to this fool and the team talk about geofencing, customer acquisition, selling gift cards, yelp sucks, generating revenue for stores that aren't yet open, etc. It wasn't shady or anything, just normal strategy talk that I didn't care to hear and it was disruptive. Made worse by the cheesy fool who was there to look like a big deal in front of others; spitting buzz words out of his mouth like sht out of a goose. This guy...did he not have a single other place in Northern VA that had wifi? Or at least a set of headphones for fux sake? Just ridiculous. Add to that, someone left their kid in the same room, and by kid I mean like 4 year old. So I had Marty McCheeseball bumping his gums about "launch" and "green light" as well as a 4 year old singing about oreo cookies. Definitely not the relaxing experience that I hoped for. To make it worse, when I was finished I said to the cheeseball "Hey man, next time you have a video conference, maybe take it someplace else. I was trying to relax and you disrupted the entire hour of service." Now, if he had said hey man, I'm so sorry, didn't see you over there. I apologize....anything like that I would have probably just let it go. But this MFer....he literally looks at me as says "Well I was on with the owner!" -- Well pardon TF out of me, if you were on with the owner then by all means I don't deserve to relax, after all you've got some "green lighting" to do! SMH I don't give a flying fuck who you are on with. He could have been on with Jesus Christ himself...it doesn't change the fact that he was loud and disruptive and ruined my experience. The icing on the cake, this guy leaves and jumps in his C class Mercedes parked on the street, right near the store. (You know the kind, like when you want to tell people you drive a Mercedes but you can't actually afford one, so you get the C class.) But I digress. I parked a block away...and I'M THE CUSTOMER. This dude took a premium spot, lacking any consideration for customers of the business, in order to go into the store and conduct a GD zoom call! Just complete douchebaggerie. In full disclosure, they did comp my service after I made a fuss, but I am likely to cancel my membership and just find someplace a bit more quiet and professional. So, to the annoying little man who needed to show off in front of the store employees, on your next conference call maybe discuss your strategy to replace this customer that you chased off with your lack of awareness and compete lack of GAF about customer experience. I got my haircut and beard trimmed the day before my wedding. When I got there I was offered a drink and then just left alone not knowing if I should wait there or what. The haircut was definitely not anything special. It honestly looked like every other haircut I get that's 1/4 of the price. The beard trim with the straight edge was nice, minus the cuts I had, not worth the price. Overall for the price I paid and the quality of the services I would not recommend this place. read more

I'm usually a barber shop guy but was looking for a different cut to sort of mix it up. I had read about this company and was intrigued. I decided to book an appt with Jillian for both a cut and grey camo. She exceeded expectations. Village is close to where I live in Leesburg so very convenient, plenty of parking. Friendly staff and got a free drink (fruit juice) during my visit. She listened to my goals and delivered a great cut. Proof in the pudding is my wife has said 3x in the past 24 hours how great a cut it is. Color was also great, very subtle and takes the edge off for someone who works in tech. She had spot on advice about the color. Quite a bit more than I spend at a barber but I expected that. All set for a conference I have to attend in person in Vegas. read more
