This is my first time at Best Barbershop. I called in before coming. I came in right around closing time. I am not sure because of this causing my barber was rough on my head and ears. Thomas was my barber. I showed him the haircut picture and he took a picture and followed the work. The quality was okay. The vibe was quiet. Improvements: - Clean tools after using to serve the next clients for hygiene. - Be gentle when turning customer's head and pressing down ears because my barber pushed my head too hard and harsh and pressing my ears way harder than necessary. It does hurt and I got headache. Customers come in to relax, enjoy the service and get fresh cuts. - If too late and cannot take in more customers please put closed sign because customers would not want to be treated rushing and unwelcoming attitude. - I do not know why my barber did things different on previous customer and me. My barber was so gentle cleaning up mustache for previous customer. When it is my turn, my barber was too harsh and rough on my head and ears. I do not like it this part! - I showed the picture to my barber and it looks like they did not like it that I gave the example of skin fade work. Maybe my barber was rough and pushing my head too hard. Please do not do that to your customers! - Should provide shampoo and the service can charge up to $25 including shampoo. Because other places I go that is what I pay for. Here I pay $22 and rough hot towel on the back of my head. No cleaning my neck line and side line at all. It was not neat as expected. Took my 3.5 year old son here today for a cut since we got a recommendation. We were served by Larry. My sons hair turned out great! Larry was patient and took instructions well. My son was very comfortable with him. The ambiance was great. I am a huge Steelers fan and they had NFL helmets hung up. The place is very clean and staff is friendly. I have been going here for years with my son. Today we waited for the next chair to open, but at our time, someone who walked in after us was chosen because they "had an appt". I almost walked out, but I stayed because of the service leading up to that period m, time already invested in waiting, but most importantly, the co- worker chiming in that appts are not taken (even though the customer had a very busy schedule and couldn't wait). They used to have one really old barber who couldn't keep a steady hand anymore but I haven't seen her there in some time. Everyone there (especially Larry) knows what to do if you want your hair done a certain way or if you want to try another look they give out great recommendations! My son and i have been to several barber shops in the area. One day we saw the sign for this barber shop and decided hesitantly to give it a try. On our first visit, I was so nervous, I had Mr. Lee cut my hair with me facing the mirror so I can watch what he was cutting and stop him if necessary. Ms. Kristin cut my son's hair and it was as good as the place that used to bring my son to where I paid 22 dollars for his haircut. Since the first visit went so well and there is a special for 10 dollars, we got our haircuts again. Still being cautious I still had Mr. Lee keep me facing the mirror while he cut my hair. My teenage daughter is in a walking boot with crutches and I cannot wash her hair at home right now. Fantastic Sams was closed and Hair Cuttery was so rude that we walked out. I was driving home, saw their sign and figured, why not? They did an amazingly thorough job of washing her hair and afterwards she told me how soft and smooth it felt. The only drawback for girls is that it is a barber shop which means the shampoo is masculine scented (Old Spice and Citus Mint) - much like what they have at Marriott chain hotels these days. This was not a big deal. Should we need another wash, we'll be back! I'll also be recommending the shop to my husband - everyone was so polite and friendly and the shop was spotless. This barber shop is not good. My son came in for a haircut because we had s coupoun. We now see why they needed to provide a coupon to get customers in. The hair stylist cut his hair uneven on the top. He asked for fading and they didn't fade it. We came back to get his hair fixed after calling and still had to wait for 15 minutes to get it fixed. It would have been great if they had fit him in between customers knowing we had already wasted time coming to have back to get it fixed. I was at the Tmobile store and saw the $12 hair cut sign, which is a great deal, so I figured I check it out. Had a great experience overall. Staff and owner were so super friendly and nice. Hair cut was just as I asked for it and they finished off with a razor trim and hot towel, which was great. Solid hair cut and cheapest by $5-6 compared to anywhere else.
