I've been seeing Beth for 2 years and my skin has been transformed! I walked into my first appointment with serious acne all over my face and was desperate for help. I have had acne on and off since college, but something had happened in the two months before I scheduled with her and my face was a wreck. I've been going to Beth for about a year to treat adult acne, post acne hyperpigmentation, and post acne textured scarring. The treatments we've been doing are chemical peels and microneedling in conjunction with products she suggested. Although I've noticed incremental improvements from both treatments, it wasn't until the 6th needling session where I noticed a drastic difference. I was so excited that I even texted Beth because even people around mr were noticing. I had ice pick scars I didn't even know about disappear. Regardless of age, acne is an excruciating journey and can be discouraging when a new zit pops up, the key is patience. I really hate leaving bad reviews anywhere but I went off of the good reviews on here and wish I didn't. I really regret going here. I suffer from adult acne and I've been to an esthetician before and assumed they all have the same level of service as my previous girl but I was very wrong. I had such high hopes and was very excited to start my acne healing journey. I listened to everything she suggested and said and bought the expensive items needed for proper home care. Not only did she give dismissive answers to my inquiries but I ended up with eczema in places I have never had before after using all of the expensive skincare. The sunscreen was absolutely horrendous and dried my skin out like crazy so I used it once and returned it to her but I never received a refund. I never heard from her again. On top of this, I was absolutely baffled and literally speechless at the prices she charges for a chemical peel. Im the type of person who doesn't mind paying extra for amazing quality or better service but this made no sense. For comparison, my previous esthetician charged $85 for an extraction and peel and spent minimum of 1 hour cleaning out every pore and crevice plus icing and calming my skin after. This lady spent LESS than 15 minutes on my skin for $140?! And of course my pores weren't cleaned out in the slightest she just uses her fingers (I could do better job at home to be honest). Genuinely, I wish there was a review like this here before I came here and wasted hundreds on products that gave me more wrinkles (under my eyes) and didn't do anything for my acne. This whole experience has put me off from trusting Yelp reviews for anything else to be honest. That's how confused I am by this experience. Originally it didn't work with my schedule but because of the positive reviews I moved other appointments around. I arrived 10 minutes early, but couldn't enter the studio. Beth's salon moved to a new location :) it's a nice, new space...but I do need to give a helpful tip: Finding parking can be tricky. Make sure you arrive 15-20 minutes early to look for parking. There is parking on Dickens, or you can park in the 2nd parking spot next to her salon. If neither of those options are available, I believe there is a public parking garage on Cedros Ave. (not sure if it's free or if they charge). Onto the service, today I got another Brazilian Wax and it was, by far, the easier session :D I'm soo happy...Beth keeps it to 15 minutes tops! She wastes no time in making a long, torturing session (like I've experience w/other ppl in the past). I also got a 4 layer peel and it was absolutely fabulous; refreshing. I was supposed to get a facial, but upon inspecting my face, Beth suggested I go for the peel---AT NO EXTRA CHARGE...I repeat, at no extra charge!!! That is unheard of nowadays! Talk about a MAJOR upgrade, because peels aren't cheap...at all. Anywho, she took her time applying each layer and constantly asked me if it hurt or stung too much. She finished it up with some great toner and lotion. Now, almost a week later, my skin feels tight (in a good way) and has a smooth texture.
