I have been a client of SkinEnvy for several years, but unfortunately the business acumen of their staff and quality of care for their clients has greatly declined as their best employees have moved on. I was a regular client of Olivia's. When she moved on, my appointment was abruptly canceled with little consideration for the inconvenience to me. When I was rescheduled, I was asked to come in at an earlier time that I had already explained I couldn't accommodate. And, just today, they asked me again to come in earlier at a time I can't accommodate. More recently, I booked a skincare consultation with Salma, hoping to receive a personalized treatment plan for dry, dull skin. Instead, the esthetician barely examined my skin before returning with an armful of expensive products. I was only able to sample one of them, and there was virtually no discussion of treatment options or facial services that might address my concerns. The entire appointment felt more like a sales pitch than a professional skincare consultation. As a longtime client, I expected thoughtful recommendations and a customized plan, not pressure to buy products and a poor attitude from someone one who is supposedly a licensed esthetician. I left feeling like my time wasn't valued and that customer care has taken a back seat to retail sales. Also, when I speak to someone at the front desk, I don't think it's too much to ask that they are professional with me but that wasn't the case today with Holly. Sadly, I can no longer recommend SkinEnvy based on the poor business acumen and unprofessionalism of the current staff. read more

Cautionary tale before you go to Skin Envy on William Cannon: I went to the salon for about a year and they recommended Radiesse for my jowls. I was cautioned it "could cause slight bruising", but within 24 hours my jaw was purple/black. I shared photos and they told me bruising was "normal", but as I researched and finally admitted to my childhood friend who's a Dermatalogist what I had done, she advised this type of bruising is not at all common. It shouldn't have happened. I had purchased 3 syringes to get a discount and after enough complaining, the salon agreed to refund me for the 2 unused doses, but refused to refund me for the first that had caused me to not be able to show my face. The salon keeps going back and forth between "this is normal" and "we're going to notify the manufacturer, because this isn't supposed to happen". They offered to give me laser/light therapy to reduce the bruising, but my dermatologist friend (an MD) says there is too much evidence that both cause additional bruising and given since they caused the first issue, she suggested I not trust them with another procedure. There is no amount of makeup that will cover up these bruises. I was supposed to start a new job this week and put it off by a week because I can't be seen like this. Obviously no one did this intentionally, but my bruises are enormous and I would be very, very cautious before going to the salon. Go to an MD instead. So far, I'm out for the cost of the treatment, the generous tip I left and 1 week of income and wouldn't want anyone else to have this kind of experience. read more

Editing my review because I've had two great recent experiences with Natalie for Botox and Xana for microneedling. They were both super friendly and professional! The BBL honestly wasn't very affective for me at this location, but all things considered I think the membership is worth it even just purely for the great price point on facials with Xana who is awesome. They did offer to touch up my BBL and I declined. I do appreciate the offer and steps to make it right. read more

Here's some sound advice for anyone paying for services at Skin Envy Austin: GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING BEFOREHAND! I forgot to leave this review months ago but seeing the credit card transaction while doing my 2023 taxes, reminded me to do so. My girlfriend was referred to Skin Envy by one of her friends to get some minor cosmetic work on her lips. She told me it would be $450 tops for what she wanted and I agreed to take care of this for her. She scheduled the appointment on the morning before her flight to visit her parents in Nebraska. I advised her to make sure the length of the appointment would not cause her to miss her flight and to get something in writing regarding the procedure and the total cost before the appointment. She called and confirmed the estimated time of the appointment would not affect her scheduled flight and said they would not be able to send her an estimate until we arrived there. Upon arrival, I asked the receptionist to provide a printed estimate for the procedure and she responded, "You will have to talk to the nurse. She normally doesn't do that." I told the receptionist to have the nurse talk to me before she gets started. A few minutes later someone called her back and I went with her to speak with the nurse performing the procedure. The woman escorting us told me I needed to wait in the lobby. So I told my girlfriend, "Before she does ANYTHING, have her come talk to me since I still don't have anything in writing." A few minutes later my girlfriend came out to the lobby and said to me, you can talk to her. I stood up and the nurse (I never got her name but remember she was a brunette in her 40's) stated that instead of a lip injection, that she recommended a chin injection based on her facial symmetry. I told her, as long as it's not more than $500, that's fine. The nurse responded, "Yes, it will not be more than $500." I then responded, "Just to confirm, that's $500 total for the entire procedure, not in addition to anything else." The nurse verbally re-confirmed with me that the entire procedure would be no more than $500" Based on the fact that myself and my girlfriend were present when the nurse stated that, I felt okay about moving forward without getting anything in writing... I should have known better! When she was finished with the procedure, she came out the nurse turned around quickly and went back. The receptionist started adding up the total and it came out to $657.00. Obviously this higher total was unexpected and I asked to speak with the nurse. The receptionist responded by stating, "She is with another client now and the total is based on what she gave us." I responded with telling the receptionist what we had discussed and the total was $157 higher than the maximum the nurse had confirmed with me only 15 minutes earlier. At that specific time, I didn't know if my girlfriend had approved anything that would have added to the total and I didn't wan to create a scene and she had a flight to catch in 2 hrs. I asked my girlfriend when we got back to the car if she had approved anything else that would have increased the total cost. She said she did NOT add anything else after I had confirmed the maximum amount with the nurse. I don't do business like this. Regardless of this just being a $157 overcharge, it's a matter of principle. These people are SCAMMERS! I came in for botox three months ago and they gave me dysport! I complained a few a weeks after and they gave me a touch up, but it did NOTHING! Finally, I set up a meeting for today and they told me that on my chart they gave me botox every time. I had been to this location in 2018 to get dysport because I had never tried it, and when it did nothing, I just gave up on that. Today Amber tells me that I got botox in 2018! No no no honey! I used to love this place and to be clear I gave 2 stars bc their estheticians are wonderful, but the front office is NOT. They've always been confused, flippant and just disorganized. I understand staffing is short and finding good employees is hard right now, however this is beyond ridiculous because we all have schedules. And then they have the audacity to send warning emails to their customers about charging if not canceled within 24 hours, when they are the ones who cancel without us asking and then tell us the wrong appointment times and accuse us of missing appointments. I actually feel sorry for their aestheticians because this affects their clientele loyalty, and their schedules. I'm disgusted with the whole thing. Today was the final straw. First it took me two weeks got get ahold of someone. Once I finally did, though Instagram...not the one home messages or text messages I had been sending, I was then talking to two people. One of them (supposedly the manager-this is what the front office claimed today) and another the front office person while them manager had reach out via text at the same time. I scheduled my appointments for 1245 and 1. On Wednesday, August 3rd I received a confirmation email of which I clicked the confirm button seen in the picture. Then on Thursday, August 4th I got an email stating I'd cancelled my appointment. Therefore, on Friday, August 5 I called and asked why this was when I had not canceled my appointment. Once again the office was extremely confused and said that they saw I still had laser but my other appointment has been canceled. They didn't ask if I could come at 12:30 instead of 12:45 and I agreed. I then called today before going to my appointment because I'm not supposed to lie down before one of them and asked how that was possible to have laser afterwards. They then proceeded to tell me I missed my appointment that was scheduled for 10:30. She also told me that I was scheduled for laser first and then Botox, which is incorrect and clear in the written back-and-forth messages that she denied. An argument ensued, excuses ensued again, and then when I called her on them she denied it and told me that this is "what happens when you call to make an appointment the day before." She also told me that I had canceled the appointments august 5 which is WRONG. I actually called on August 5 because they canceled my appointments on that Thursday without my request. When we started going back-and-forth I asked her where that was in writing and she said that they had put it in their system. I asked where it was in writing for me as I had been texting with them and messaging on Instagram. She continuously avoided that question. I DO NOT appreciate being ignored, then cancelled on claiming I did it, then told I cancelled on august 5th when the EMAIL stated Aug 4th they cancelled at my INVISIBLE AND SILENT request, then told that it's my problem bc I waited too long to make an appointment and did it "the day before when IN FACT I tried for 2 weeks then made I the appointment with their manager on Sunday, July 31st (almost a week in advanced). Oh AND yesterday one of the employees even threw their managers under the bus and goes "oh I see where my manager made your appoints and did it WRONG!" I then asked if it was or could be fixed and she goes "oh I fixed it." Well apparently NOT. I cannot believe the front desk would lie, then deny it, then make excuses and deny that, throw their boss under the bus, then when I asked to speak with her boss tell me they're not there. However when it starts to get real then they say "let me have my manager call you." Oh you mean like I asked for in the first place? And you told me it was a possible. I'm not trying to be a Karen here but this got a little out of hand. It should not be this difficult to make and keep an appointment. read more

Skin Envy was recommended to me by a friend that has been getting injections at various other places for the last 10 yrs. So for my 1st ever treatment, I trusted her. It was Botox. I requested Amber for my first visit. She got sick last minute. This is why this place gets all the stars. Nadia is a receptionist I spoke with many times. She answered all my questions with knowledge and care. I already felt well taken care of. They knew I was really excited about my first time. Plus it was just before my 45th birthday. They made it happen! They called in Dr. McGrath. So my 1st time was as pleasant as getting stuck in the forehead can be. HA! The results we perfect. I wanted to go conservative and he listened, explained & delivered. I joined their VIP membership. It is awesome. I began going in for a facial once a month. Always great service! By the time I was ready to get Botox for the second time was when the closures due to the Coronavirus took effect. No big deal. Way more important things to take care of.
