Fast forward to 2026; the office started offering Sofwave treatments for collagen building & skin tightening. I stopped getting filler several years ago, but I am always interested in ways to combat age related collagen loss. After a really detailed consultation with PA Charlotte, I scheduled a Sofwave session with her. I requested numbing on all the areas to be treated, so l arrived in time to sit with the cream on for 30-ish minutes. Charlotte was SO detailed & patient, she mapped all the areas (brows, cheeks, jaw, submentum) with marker & showed me how she planned to lift areas. She gave me a tube that blew cold air to aim at the areas while she used the Sofwave wand. And she checked in with me throughout the treatment to make sure I was comfortable. 95% of the treatment was so painless, I could have fallen asleep! The 5% of time that I felt anything, at the very edges of my jaw & on one spot on my brows, it felt like quick stinging sensations - but way less than past laser hair removal. Still, numbing is the way to go imo haha. I had no swelling afterwards & only a little redness; I felt totally presentable to be out in public. As I drove home, I telt like my face was tighter already - but I also was still numb, so I wasn't sure if it was just my imagination. I had taken my own selfies before I headed to the office, so l took directly after selfies when I got home. I was super happy to see that I could see immediate results when I stitched my pics side by side! I shared my before & after pics with my friends & they could totally tell too. I look refreshed, for sure. And full results don't even happen for 4-6 months, because collagen will be rebuilding during that time. I don't know if my immediately noticeable results are typical, but l am now a big believer in Sofwave! I've been telling my friends about it - and about Charlotte! However, almost without fail, these wonderful employees leave the spa and I must trust someone new. Unfortunately, my latest visit was a giant waste of money with very poor results. I spent a total of $660 on Dysport, and still have static lines on my forward and glabellar area (between the brows). The product NEVER worked, as I was able to make all the same facial movements I did on the initial day of service. (They document with photos, so this is easily verifiable). Specifically, I saw Miranda on July 18th for Dysport to my forehead, glabellar lines, and chin. I usually get 90 units, but this time I got 100 units, as the injector recommended. Well, it failed to work and I still had lines on my forehead and a big line at the left glabella (which I thought the extra 10 units would have addressed, as the right side had no starting static line). I waited the proper amount of time and came back on August 25th for re-evaluation. They approved 4 units of "Complimentary" Dysport to address my concerns, and made me pay for an additional 10 units to fix the left glabellar line. So, now I've received a total of 114 units of Dysport, and it is STILL NOT WORKING!! I can make full "surprise" and "angry" faces. I am a reasonable person and thought that MAYBE the 90 units wasn't enough, but even with the additional 10 units, and now an additional 14 units, I'm still not seeing results!!! So, this tells me it is not a "me" problem, but rather a "Blue Spa" problem. What an insane waste of time and effort (as I followed after care instructions to the tee), and before you say it must be my "metabolism" or that I am "immune" to neuromodulators or neurotoxins, know that it is unequivocally neither of these things. I am deeply, deeply disappointed in this business and cannot in good faith recommend them any longer.

If I could give zero stars I would. I was two minutes late and was told that my appointment was canceled even though they have construction up and down the entire street and there's absolutely no parking! Also, the very rude unprofessional person at the front desk gives me attitude and says "well we sent you a text this morning an hour before your appointment with information about valet parking and a grace period"...excuse me? Is he serious!? How about telling your customers who made an appointment a week ago right then that make sure you're on time because we have a strict no late policy! No none of that! But hey we'll throw that bullshit little restriction out at you an hour right before your appointment. nowhere on the email for confirmation that they sent does it say anything about a late policy! Well excuse me for not opening up the text message and reading it to its entirety this morning while I was already on the way to the appointment! Long story short ! Unprofessional staff ! I visited Skin Laundry recently and was disappointed by how my service animal and I were treated. As a person with a legally registered service animal, I am aware of my rights under the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), which protects people with disabilities and allows them to bring their service animals into any business open to the public. Unfortunately, the staff did not seem familiar with these laws. It's important for all businesses, including Skin Laundry, to understand that service animals are not pets--they are essential for helping individuals with disabilities. I expect that all staff should be aware that asking for documentation or denying access to a person with a service animal is against federal law. Moving forward, I hope Skin Laundry takes steps to educate their employees to ensure compliance with the ADA and avoid legal issues. I would prefer to resolve this without further action, but if this behavior continues, I know that I have legal rights and would not hesitate to pursue them. read more

I've been to several Skin Laundry locations, including Glendale and Larchmont, but Studio City is hands-down my favorite. From the moment you walk in, the front desk team is warm, friendly, and always fun to chat with. And a special shoutout to Aika--she's the best! She's knowledgeable, professional, and always makes me feel comfortable during my appointments. My sister and I have turned our visits into a little tradition. We book our treatments and then head out for lunch afterward, which makes it feel like a fun self-care day rather than just another appointment. One piece of advice: arrive early! Parking in the area can be tricky, and they aren't very lenient with late arrivals. Give yourself some extra time so you're not stressed. This place has horrible customer service I bought a package off of Facebook to have a laser facial done. I drove 45 minutes out there to get it done and I get there and they tell me I have to sign up for a four month package or they're not gonna do anything on my face so basically it was false advertising which I am reporting this to the Better Business Bureau also Etc. they should not tell you to come in for a specific treatment and then refuse to do it because I wouldn't sign up for the 4 month commitment!! Which how do I know I even want to do that until I get it done to see if I even like it or to see what the results are what it is it's a scam to get you in there. I'm actually going to hire an attorney over this they tried to call me. I never received a phone call to confirm that day!! Bad place!!! read more

And I don't like having to sign up for packages which is a big commitment first of all, but also puts me under huge pressure to use up my package before it expires. And the best thing for me personally is that you do get a full-blown cleanse, gentle chemical exfoliation, hydration, vitamin misting and facial massage - all in a few minutes! I took a star off though because they don't have a salon near where I live ( please set up in the west side soon!) so I do have to travel a way to get there. I have decided though that I will make it a point to work my meeting schedule so that I "just happen" to be in Studio City so I can enjoy a quick facial, LOL!
