I initially found Yelena from a Half Off Depot coupon when she was at the old location on Paces Ferry Place, and I have been coming back for the past three years. I love that she uses Dermalogica products - which don't overly irritate my sensitive skin - and I especially enjoy her facial massage technique. So relaxing! Extractions can be painful, but I appreciate it once I see the glowing results in the mirror afterward. In addition to Yelena's excellent facial skills, she is a great product adviser. I have completely changed my skin care routine thanks to her affordable suggestions of witch hazel as a toner, tea tree oil as a spot treatment and coconut oil as a nightly moisturizer - and my skin has never looked better. I had been spending way more on less effective products at other salons and Sephora. What a waste! Really, this speaks to the core of Yelena's business. You pay for a great facial and honest advise, not for a fancy location and pricey products that are constantly pushed on you regardless of your needs. Skin Logic is located in a tiny place in Buckhead but don't let the location sway your opinion, Yelena has the perfect set up with little overhead so she can focus on you and your skin instead of pricy extra fees and pushing products. There were plenty of parking spots available. Up the stairs in the corner is Skin Logic, where Yelena is set up. Once I arrived, I felt completely relaxed. Yelena introduced herself, and I immediately felt comfortable with her. She was warm, professional, and her skin was just glowing and beautiful! She took me to the facial room where she asked me a few questions about my skincare regimen and created a customized facial for me. It was very relaxing, and included steam, extractions, and shoulder massage. She is a very knowledgeable and experienced esthetician, and her hands are incredible! Extractions are never pleasant, but necessary for beautiful and healthy skin. Yelena does not use tools, only her hands. This is the sign of someone who is skilled. After the facial, she recommended a couple of products, but all are natural products and again, no push for selling products. There is currently a Groupon deal you can check out to try her. Appointments may take some time to make because she is on her own, but I wouldn't go to another person just because getting on the schedule is easy. Booking in advance is common, so just plan ahead. Yelena gave me a special deal on a package for additional facials and it wasn't a question to take the deal. I am now a loyal client of Yelena and already sent a friend to use one of my appointments...this was her first facial ever (insert shocked face). My friend text me after the appointment raving about how her skin was glowing and how Yelena had explained so many options for her skincare regime that were easy and affordable. I've been going to Yelana for 2 years now for my quarterly facial, and I've had nothing but positive experiences with her. I'm way more interested in getting a great facial, and supporting a local business, than paying for all the bells & whistles that places like Spay Sydell & Blue Medspa build into their prices (hot saunas, relaxation areas, etc). When I ask her for advice on what kind of cleanser or lotion to buy, she doesn't try to sell me on super high-end brands, and she offers up suggestions for simple hydrating masks I can do at home. Unfortunately I'm still on the hunt for my go-to facial in ATL. I purchased the Groupon (which many people do when they are looking for a new spa in the area...) and arrived for my appointment. The code given to me to get into the office building did not work and I couldn't reach anyone, so I had to wait until someone approached the door to let me in (on both visits). She was welcoming but like previous reviews below, could have sworn I had been there before "awhile back." I am relatively new to Georgia so this isn't possible. I had a difficult time relaxing because throughout the facial she was trying to upsell me from the Groupon and kept telling me how congested my skin is, which again seems to be a theme from the other reviews. I declined the upsell my first visit but did do it the second visit. The appointments were the same length so I'm not entirely sure what the benefit was. Additionally, I was forced to schedule my second appointment right after my first (I travel a lot for work and would've liked to look at my work schedule prior to scheduling), and I was told if I needed to reschedule there would be a fee. I'm fine with paying a fee to reschedule at the last minute, but just in general if I were to reschedule more than a month out? That seems strange. I found Skin Logic on Groupon and, although I've found that a lot of the services on Groupon are hit or miss, I've been having some problems with my skin lately and decided to give it a shot. I very am happy to say that this was a hit! Yelena gives a very thorough facial that left my face feeling very clean and refreshed. I also found her to be very friendly, professional, and easy to do business with. She also gave me some great advice for my skin care that DIDN'T involve trying to up-sale me fancy products or other services, which I really appreciate. I had the facial a week ago and my skin still looks great. If I had to say anything negative, it would be that the building was a bit tricky to find, but that also could've just been my mistake or Apple Maps being unreliable. GOOD GRACIOUS!!! Do not go to this woman. I beg you. Address is wrong, she pretends like she's had you before which I've seen on multiple reviews here, she doesn't use the proper tools to get extractions and leaves you scarred. Not to mention she says your face is clogged and up charges you. I received the Groupon as a gift and I rarely get facials, so I was looking forward to what I hoped would be a relaxing experience. Finding the place was fairly easy and Yelena greeted me and explained the process. She then began to critique my complexion and my routine. She offered the upgraded extraction which I agreed to, knowing it would not be pleasant, but it was mortifying. Literally made me cry. She continued to be critical of my skin and my routine. I believe in professionals giving me advice, but I believe the way she did so was unprofessional and unwarranted. I would say 25% of her advice was helpful and the other 75% was just rude. Not to mention, as someone in the healthcare field, I had to question the validity of some of her facts. The facial was finally over and I exited the room to schedule my next appointment, as the Groupon offered two-50 minute facials. While scheduling my appointment the next client walked in and went in to the same room as I had just left not even five minutes ago, I have to question was it even cleaned? ...skeptical. I realize that keeping appointments is the clients responsibility, however, if a company has a 24-hr cancellation policy I believe that if you are going to remind the client about the appointment you should do so with more than 24-hour notice. My second appointment was a 5PM Monday appointment, I did not hear from Yelena until 8AM on that Monday morning. While I had every intention to go to my appointment, I thought that a text message asking me if I was still coming, followed by a text message saying that assuming I dont respond by 12 PM that I am not showing up to the appointment, again...was very unprofessional. Every doctor's appointment, hairstylist, nail appointment calls me at least within in 48-hrs, leaves a voicemail, or writes a professional message, not a short, condescending message that makes me not even want to come to the appointment. I arrived at my second appointment not really looking forward to it. I was again bombarded with criticism, but stayed silent throughout my appointment and tried to enjoy my signature facial. The facial actually was quite nice, but 50 minutes as the Groupon states, was an overstatement, I was done after 40 minutes, but to be honest I was ready to leave. I have been a loyal customer of Yelenas 4 years and very sad to be moving away. Hands down the best and most effective facials I've ever had. Her extractions are one of the things that makes them so great--she has a gentle but firm way of really getting in there and clearing you up where you're congested. Her neck and shoulder massage that comes with the facial is also excellent and so relaxing. She's a 1-woman show that does everything from accounting to booking appointments to cleaning so she can be hard to reach by phone but I've never had any problems texting her. She offers bundles of massages that you can buy making it a great deal. I go to Yelena every 3 months or so and its always a nice treat. She uses all Dermalogica products and she never tries to sell you on products. Instead you'll hear her advice to go down the street and buy witch hazel for a toner, coconut oil for a moisturizer, olive oil and sugar for exfoliation and tea tree oil for acne or blemishes. I love how she never pushes pricey products on me. Saves a ton of money to stick to a natural skin regimen. She also doesn't advertise these as much but she also does body waxes and body scrubs which are great. Don't be turned off or confused by the building that it's in--it's a cute house where a lot of professionals set up their offices. Yelena's space is great and cozy. I also found several of my individual eyelashes in my hair the next day, where she had wiped clumps of them off. I deal with customers at my job everyday handling over 780 calls in one-month as recorded in my performance evaluation. No excuse for bad manners when your in any type of business. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a facial. First, the esthetician tried to charge me an additional $25 for the appointment, stating that the Groupon was only for new clients and said "I would love to see you again." Never once had I visited her spa in the past, so when I told her that, she decided to waive the $25 fee, but when I arrived at the appointment, she again stated that "it was good to see me again." I once again had to remind her that I have never visited her spa before. I felt like I was being guilted into not paying the $25 fee. Next, once the facial started, I looked over at her steam machine, and much to my horror, the metal components in the water were filthy and covered in an algae-like substance. Which meant the water that was providing steam for my face was coming from water contaminated with the dirty components. Next, as she began to examine my face, she stated that I needed extractions, which would cost an additional $20. When I stated that I did not want the extractions, she emphatically sold me on the necessity of said extractions. Frustrated that she seemed to be trying to re-coup the $25 she didn't earn for the "return client" fee, I decided not to answer her. Then, five minutes later, she asked me again. I caved, hoping that she would stop trying to up-charge me after this. When the extractions began, she placed a bright light over my face, and although my eyes were closed, I could tell that the light could still cause damage to my retina and she did not offer to shield my eyes with goggles or something to protect my eyes. Once the extractions started she began to pinch, poke, prod, and squeeze all over my face- the most painful extractions I have ever experienced, and it felt like she was breaking my skin. After my facial finally ended, she tried to sell me on additional facials- a package of two for $50 each. I wanted to receive a facial to relax, but this was by far the least relaxing experience I have ever had at a spa. I do not recommend this spa, nor will I ever return. read more

I've been having facials for almost 10 years and have never had an experience like this. Firstly, Yelena was unhappy that I was using a Groupon. Many times she mentioned that this was not in her best interest and that she would never redeem one for me again. I found that odd considering I never would've known about her if it weren't for Groupon. Making an appointment was nearly impossible as if she was avoiding a Groupon customer. Immediately she wanted to charge me an extra $20 for a peel. I approved it as my skin could benefit from a peel. This $20 peel really was foam she applied to my face. At this point I felt she was a scam. During my facial, I've never been in so much pain. The next day, my body was sore from tensing up so much. She had no real tool for extractions, she used her fingers and when I would tell her I was in pain, she replied very coldly. I didn't feel as though I received a true facial. I felt like she was having a bad day and took it out on my face. I left in absolute shock and pain and actually cried once I got to my car. When I saw my face in the mirror I cried some more. I hate leaving bad reviews, I really do, but I believe feedback is important to improve, and as an informed consumer, I certainly appreciate honest reviews to decide where to take my business. I bought a groupon for a 50 minute facial. I should start by saying that clearly the owner is not a fan of Groupon, and I understand that the business model is hard on them, but the whole point of using such services to promote a business is that you'll take a hit on the first interaction with the costumer and provide such a good service that they will come back and spread the word about you/your business. Sadly, that's not the case here. I think the lady does a disservice to customers that she gets through Groupon and should probably not list her business there. Her attitude has to be biased against those that found her through Groupon, since I read some nice reviews and that was nowhere close to what I experienced. Scheduling was a pain, but I can understand that. She communicated via text messages, and not in a very professional way (a little dry) but I was ok with that, I needed a facial not a bff so I won't take stars away for that. The facial was "ok" (not great) and the extractions were really, really painful for $20 extra. I know I am an adult and could have said no but I have to say that I almost felt coerced into accepting this upgrade after all the criticism and the owner basically communicating that what I had bought was so basic that it was good for nothing. It's weird to describe it this way but her demeanor was almost like that of a bully. Her approach was so bad that when she asked if I had a routine and attempted to sell products, I didn't even want to hear it, and I normally listen and end up buying the recommended products. However, the experience wasn't being pleasant and it almost seemed as if she wanted me to get out of there asap. She didn't take anywhere close to 50 minutes to the point that the transportation arrangement I made with my husband (he would pick me up in an hour) didn't even work and I had to take an Uber back home. BTW I had to wait in the street since she quickly dismissed me despite not having any customers after me. She rushed back into the room probably upset because I didn't purchase another session of torture. She rudely asked me if I wanted to buy 1 or 2 more sessions claiming that my skin needed it and I politely declined. I think I was out of there after getting in, waiting for her to be done with the previous client, setting up, having the facial, changing back, paying and all in less than 40 minutes which means that the facial probably lasted 30 minutes total. I should also mention that she asked for more tip than what I was leaving her and waited there until I gave her more money. The weirdest part is that at some point she claimed that she knew me and I had already gotten a facial implying that I was taking advantage by buying a groupon. She never proved this and I've never met her before. I remember which places I've visited for facials (Exhale, Blue Med Spa, and Seraphim), and I genuinely believe that she was saying that to try to charge me more. I've had many good facials and this one was nothing special. However, the customer service and bedside manner is so terrible that I am forced to leave only 1 star. read more

The business was located in a dilapidated building (stains on the carpet, stains on the ceiling, stains on the robe I was given to wear), the "esthetician" (I don't believe that she is licensed) had TERRIBLE bedside manner (she cussed several times, and kept telling me how terrible my skin was by saying, "I'm just being honest..."), and the facial was horrific (she did not have the proper equipment available for facials- no steam?!, and caused A LOT of pain during extractions such that I asked her to STOP and my face is now bruised). I found this business through HalfOffDepot.com. When I called and asked to book an appointment, owner said that she would need to redeem my voucher first and then book my appointment in 3 weeks. This ensures that she gets paid regardless if she provides services or not. When I questioned her business tactics, she encouraged me to contact HalfOffDepot; insisted that this was the proper practice AND that HalfOffDepot would "vouch" for her. I purchesed a Groupon for me and my daughter as a gift, and called the place to make an appointment. I was stunned by how poorly I was treated because of my discounted purchase. I was offered a facial either on Wednesday in the morning (who does facials in the morning during work hours) or I was told I would have to wait a month and a half for another appointment. I was stunned how the Skin Logic Atlanta was completely not interested in accomodating me and they themselves suggested that I should contact the Groupon and ask for a refund. I am surprised by their short-sighted approach; I suppose they do not invest in their potential clients. She asked my name and informed me that according to her system I had been to her establishment before and that the groupons were for first time users, a fact that was not mentioned in the ad. This was a really weird experience. I am not one to write negative reviews but I found Skin Logic on Groupon and was not really impressed. Great price (on Groupon) but she continually tried to up-charge me and let me know how much she didn't like Groupons. Nice enough and seemed very knowledgeable on skin care (I really appreciate some of her tips) ...but she was very pushy, very abrupt, almost rude with continual comments about my skin and poor skincare habits. I'm SO LAZY. I've been going to Yelena for years. Typically, if I'm unhappy with a place, I just don't come back; if I am happy, I keep coming back. It's time to give credit where credit is due. Well, I started with Yelena a few years ago via a groupon. I kept coming back because I knew immediately that I was getting a higher quality service than facials in the past that put a mask on you and rub your scalp for a second and you leave feeling good but your skin isn't altogether too different a few hours later. Yelena always does extractions on me (because I need them). They're never fun but any real aesthetician isn't going to let you leave without going beyond surface skin level. If they do, don't ever go back. Sometimes, I don't even know how good of a facial I had until a week later when my skin is still clear and soft. Yelena also really knows her business. If I change up my diet or my skin routine, she knows immediately and gives me frank, honest feedback. My expensive Laura Mercier moisturizer? She tells me immediately "you're doing something different. what is it? I don't like it whatever it is. Go back to using your korean stuff'. You just can't get one by her. Most of us get facials because we want our skin to look good. If you just want to feel good for an hour, I suggest the Remede Spa at the St. Regis just down the street. For $180, they'll give you a glass of wine and you'll have a very pleasant one hour experience. For a fraction of that, I can get a superior facial that lasts weeks. While some have complained about the location, I think Pharr Rd Buckhead is extremely convenient and I appreciate that Yelena keeps her costs down by offering a valuable service instead of a "valuable" building facade. read more

I have been having facials with Yelena for almost two years now and I must say, my skin has never looked better! Most places do a relaxing facial that gives a glow for about a week. Yelena actually extracts and cleans the skin deep down. If you get her facials regularly you will see a huge improvement in your skin. I have clear skin with very few breakouts. Yes... The extractions can hurt a little but that is part of the process to get your skin clean and this can only be done if you visit every six to eight weeks as part of a regular beauty regime. I am really pleased with the service... She is always pleasant and gives great advice about caring for your skin. I initially went to Yelena with a Groupon I had bought and was so pleased with the facial that I have continued to receive facials every six weeks. It can sometimes take a few facials to get your skin to an improved state and then if you get the facials regularly it can be maintained. Became a customer of Yelena's due to a Groupon I purchased. At first I was skeptical because of the negative reviews on Groupon, however I (and my skin) cannot be more thankful that I purchased the Groupon despite the reviews. Booking my first appointment was a breeze, and from the first facial I was hooked! Yelena is VERY good at what she does and she gives you a very personable yet professional experience. The space is small but it gives a very intimate feel so I actually prefer it over larger places I've gone in the past. I booked the package after my first facial with her and will continue to do so because my skin is now so amazing that I have actually had cowokers ask what type of foundation I use now...and I don't even wear makeup! Do yourself a favor, book the package...that way you know you're coming back and can get results.
