Beware of this place! I had a terrible experience. I wanted to get 3 area's treated before Christmas so this was my Christmas gift from my husband. I made an appointment with Dr. Tim because his wife didn't have any openings until after Christmas. I went in and told him what 3 areas i wanted treated (wrinkles between my eyes, on both sides of my mouth and fuller lips) and that I wanted all the wrinkles in those areas gone. We never discussed the cost which was not an issue. He treated all 3 areas and the total was almost $1,000. 1 week later there was no change in any of the areas, two weeks no change, 3 weeks no change, so I made an appointment to go back to talk to him about the areas and how there were no results. He walked in and he said "you are back for more"? I said "No, there is no change in any of the areas". He said "Well, he mixed the contents so he didn't make a mistake". I said well none of the area's (3) changed at all, they looked like they did when I walked in before Christmas. And instead of saying "Let's fix this, something must of gone wrong with the batch of Botox and Restylane I gave you, or "Let me give you a refund", he tells me my skin must be thick, thats why it didn't work. At this point I am crying because I paid $1,000 for nothing. I told him I had the same areas done in Florida 1 year ago with beautiful results. Then he says "Well you are a year older"! (i'm 62 with great skin) I was mortified! I kept telling him that there was no change in any of the areas, not even my lips! I could see maybe 1 area but all 3! And I just threw $1,000 away! I couldn't stop crying, he was so stone faced and unsympathetic like he was thinking "Are we done yet"? I kept telling him that there were no results waiting for him to say he's sorry and he would fix it. I finally get up to walk out of the room and he says, "keep an eye out on our website, we have specials all the time". Like I would ever come back!!!!! I walked out crying, I cried all the way home and it's taken me a month to write this because I still can't get his words out of my head. SO SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I always give credit where credit is due, and I have to give it to Dr.Wright today. First of all, I'm sure many of you are thinking "ummm, really Mary? You went from a one-star to a five-star rating?" Yes, I sure did, and allow me to tell you all the wonderful reasons why. First of all, I applaud business owners who read ALL of their reviews and respond accordingly. When I posted my first review back in January, I never expected any response, let alone a THREE-PAGE HANDWRITTEN LETTER from Dr.Wright herself. Not only did she apologize for my experience, but she went as far as to address every single issue I had mentioned in my review. In her letter to me, Dr.Wright offered me a free consultation with her (a $75 value) if I chose to return. She also provided me with her personal cell number, just in case I chose not to return but wanted to discuss my experience.To say I was impressed is an understatement. A few days after receiving the letter, I decided to make the call and schedule the consultation with Dr.Wright. Her office manager (Christina I believe) even had notes in the system so I didn't have to explain the situation. She offered me a few dates, and luckily I was able to get in this morning. I arrived about 5 minutes early and were greeted by a very kind and friendly front desk associate. She asked me to sign in and we were immediately taken to the consultation room. Within two minutes, Dr.Wright and her nurse joined me in the consultation room. She was so wonderful from start to finish. She apologized once more, assured us again that she had addressed my concerns with her staff and again emphasized that my first experience there was unacceptable. I appreciated her starting off the consultation this way as it allowed us to start fresh, and on a pleasant note. The next thirty minutes further proved to me that Dr.Wright is a very knowledgeable doctor in her field. What I appreciated the most is that throughout the entire consult, she didn't try to sell me on any of her products or services. In fact, she offered a variety of options to solve for my oily skin and pores (including over the counter brands like Neutragena) and even educated me on the concept of not doing laser hair removal during the summer months due to the sun and laser combo burning the skin. She also addressed my concern with skin issues I've been faced with while on vacation in Mexico and Dominican Republic and referred me to a great allergist. I think the icing on the cake was that Dr.Wright's nurse had been taking notes the entire time and, at the end of the consultation, provided me a card with everything Dr.Wright had mentioned (including the list of products that she had suggested for my concerns). What an awesome way to end the appointment! I have got to say that I am now a huge fan of Dr.Wright and her med spa. I plan on going back to try some of her products (I checked out the shelf of products on our way out and they were very affordable) and will also be making laser hair removal appointments for myself after summer is over with. Not only is the staff super nice, but Dr. Wright was very warm and friendly, but it's also very clear that she's wonderful at what she does. I've been through a couple other Botox consults and I really liked the way Dr. Wright approaches it. She asks you what you want and what your expectations are and very clearly outlines her recommendations and what she's going to do. Plus, she's just a very friendly person and that makes for a great appointment. It's no wonder so many people have rated so highly- I'm just sad I hadn't found it sooner. As far as some of these reviews who say she's just about sales, that was not my experience at all. I went there couple yrs ago for facial, not a lunch time peel but to clean our pores etc...they did not have the suction device to clean pores n blackheads that is totally necessary. So they go they all the steps but without the suction device..u will not have the proper deep cleaning. I recently moved to Plano, Texas from NYC - the capital of awesome skin care doctors and plastic surgeons. So I contacted this office via email asking about their price list, and received an odd reply saying that I had to call in to get my simple questions answered. All I asked was their price; IE how much do you charge for a syringe of Voluma, etc. A very basic question. But they insisted that I had to call in .... which is plain ridiculous and a waste of my busy time. Of all my years dealing with dermatologist and plastic surgeon offices, not a single one had a problem discussing questions like this with me BEFORE making an appointment. They cared about customer service first and foremost, before sales/profit. I just read the Yelp reviews here, and I'm so glad I won't be going here. This office lost a potential patient who spends about $3,000 every 4 months at the doctor's office on her skin care. Thank you ladies for your honest review. I have experienced a stellar level of professional services with Dr. Wright and her staff at Skin M.D.d and Beyond. I did extensive research before selecting Dr. Wright. I intially needed an aesthetic procedure to help heal a scar under my left eye (which I acquired during an overseas travel accident this past summer). The receptionist answered all my questions (I had lots of them!). When I met with Dr. Wright, she knew immediately what I needed. I had two simple procedures with her nurse Catherine. My scar is completely healed and perfectly invisible. I love Dr. Wright! She and her staff make you feel like part of her family. This place is very upscale with an at-home relaxing atmosphere. A breath of fresh air from most doctors' offices which are very conservative, if not drab and dark. Now that I live in Canada, I still travel down to see her - and it is worth the trip! I have treatments for pigmentation on my face and also for Botox. On my first visit, she gave me a very thorough consultation not only on the treatment for the sun damage but also on future preventative care. She also explained what Botox was, answered all my questions, and I never felt rushed. It takes a while to get an appointment to see her, but she's absolutely worth the wait. She is very knowledgeable, and has an excellent bedside manner. Her professionalism certainly rubs off onto her staff, as they are all very friendly and quick to help me with any questions I may have. I also appreciate their personal reminder phone calls and their easy nature when I need to change my appointment times. When I had a problem with one of the skincare products she recommended, she called me back personally - rather than having a nurse call on her behalf - on the same day and talked through it with me. I was shocked by her quick response and really grateful. I think what I like best about this practice, however, is that they are very interested in getting their patients the best results. They took photographs and tried 2 different lasers in different places on my face so we could get comparative results and decide what would be my best option. You've probably heard the saying, "if you want to find the best Doctor, ask a Nurse?" Well, as a nurse with over 20 years of experience, I can honestly say that you will NEVER find more skilled and talented provider than Dr Fiona Wright(unless it's her husband). Like most women, as we age, we start looking for options to "turn back the clock." I've long been fascinated by new and cutting edge options. I've seen more procedures, both surgical and non, than I can list. What I have learned throughout the process is that, anyone can place filler, Botox and learn to do procedures like liposuction and lifts-but it takes a true, skilled artist to do it flawlessly! That is something that cannot be taught. And that is a skill that Dr Wright possesses. In addition, I've come to know Dr Wright as extremely principaled. She will not hesitate to let me know if "more" would change my face or become more noticeable. Her philosophy is to go slow, let the filler or Botox settle and see the results before rushing in to drastic changes. The result is amazing! You don't look "done." You do look years younger. As a result, people often seem to be caught off guard that I am as old as I really am. I often get asked for ID when purchasing alcohol-even though I'm old enough to have a 21 year old child of my own! ;) When it comes to my face, I will never trust anyone but Dr Wright. I have been a patient of Dr. Wright for over four years and I don't know it took me so long to figure out she was ripping me off...so shame on me. All she and her partner "eye doctor" husband care about is the money. If you've got it - they love you...if not - you're nobody. I have spent thousands of dollars for Botox, Fillers and Laser Treatments at SkinMD and Beyond the office of Dr. Fiona L. Wright in addition to sending her referrals but I AM DONE. My last appointment took place in March, 2014 when I wanted to get rid of the lines around my mouth...this has been an issue for years and she has yet to truly fix or minimize the problem.. On my appointment in March, Dr. Wright assured me injecting a "new" filler "Boletero" would eliminate the lines and not give me the "over done" duck lips. What a COMPLETE waste of money. After the swelling from the injections went down...there was ABSOLUTELY NO difference in the lines around my lips - they were still staring back at me in the mirror. I was to the point of tears and called Dr. Wrights office to let them know. Big surprise, after her assistant discussed this with Dr. Wright she contacted me with Dr. Wrights "treatment plan". Big surprise - have laser treatments done for it. I told her Dr. Wright suggested it two years prior and I had a series of five of them done to the tune of $1250 AND THE LINES WERE STILL THERE!. Next we went for Botox - works for about 3 months for $300-$500. I admit, I've given Dr. Wright and her eye doctor husband (who also does cosmetic injections) too many chances so I'm the fool. Bottom line, DON"T BE SUCKERED people into the brainless mind warp that exists at Dr. Wrights office. Find a GOOD caring doctor who listens to your needs...this are elective procedures. I am extremely disappointed for the results I got with Restylane injections under the eye that Fiona Wright did on me. I went to three treatments. On the second one I noticed she was injecting too much product on my right eye, I asked her why and she told me that I needed it. After the swelling and bruising went away I was left with a completely asymmetric look on my eyes. I have waited for a long time to get rid of the product, but even though it is absorbing, my face still looks uneven. My under eye is always swollen. It has been a true nightmare and I don't think talking or asking her for help could have made a difference. What I know now is that she and her husband are not qualified for what they are doing, they just care for the money, not for their clients' wellbeing. read more
