Ok, so I am the biggest baby when it comes to pain.. and it showed when I went to see Laura for the first time. She explained to me the process and also let me know that the first time will hurt a little, but the pain goes away quickly. So, as my hands are getting sweaty and my knees are becoming weak, I take a deep breath and just do it.. and I loved it! Yes, it was a little painful, but the pain really did go away fast. I was looking for a good place for waxing and ended up finding Lavande! I was looking for some place closer to me in Richardson, but the reviews for the places around there just didn't cut it. Initially I left a message and Laura called my back shortly and then we confirmed via e-mail. The location is great, with a ton of other people that offer beauty services in one building...love the one stop shop aspect. The room is small, neat and clean - what else do you need? Laura has a great demeanor for this sort of thing. She is friendly, professional, walks your through the whole process and has a good sense of humor. We talked the whole time and it was very comfortable. She uses the blue hard self pealing wax, which is so much better than the the traditional wax and cloth strips and is much less painful. Her prices are reasonable and she did a nice job on the wax...I did have a few strays, but overall I (and the husband :) ) were pleased with her work! FANTASTIQUE! I've been waxing for almost 20 years, and this is by FAR the best wax I've ever received! Laura is incredibly sweet and her salon is very clean and comfortable. She responded the same day I requested an appointment through the online booking, and sent me a "reminder/confirmation" text the day before my appointment. Every brazilian wax I've had up until this point has been quite a painful experience, but this was NOTHING! She uses a wonderful blue wax from France, and it was virtually pain-free. I would highly recommend Lavande to anyone wanting to get any wax services done. I decided to get back into a healthy routine for skin facials. After reading so many great reviews I decided to give it a try! Laura is very professional and definitely made me feel so comfortable telling her my skin concerns. The moment I walked up to her office, she had already cracked the door open and all I had to do was knock and there she was! I filled out standard paperwork, then we talked about my skin and what I was looking for, then she gave me a top to change into. She turned away to prepare the skincare products while I changed into the top. The bed was heated, soft, and warm. The skincare facial entire experience was well informed, she kept me in the loop and when I started to doze off she let me relaxed. Her massages are intentionally and super relaxing. At the end I was curious about other services and she took the time to explain everything, even advising me to make sure to invest into a good mineral sunscreen to help with my skin concerns. Even though the session was supposed to be 1hr, she didnt rush me at all and didn't make it feel like I had to book another session. She kept it professoonal and in the end she gave me a hug. Long overdue review...I love Laura. If there was such a thing as a painless waxer, Laura would be the one. I have tried multiple places around DFW (thanks to Groupon) and European Wax Center so when I say Laura's the best, I would know. No more strays, bleeding, or ingrown hairs. She uses hard wax (as painless as it could be) and is extremely quick (usually under 15 minutes for a Brazillian). She makes sure you feel super comfortable and her cute French accent takes away any nervousness you may have had. (She even says "voila" each time she peels back the wax). I stumbled across her over a year ago and can safely say I never need to find another waxer again. I'm not sure if she has walks in, but if you give her a call, she'll usually respond the same day. Her studio is inside the Imagique Salon (on the 2nd floor) and is very clean and charming. Overall, if this is your first or millionth waxing session, I would recommend Laura! read more

So disappointed. Laura was delightful, and her spa is clean and welcoming. She took an hour and a half for a full leg and bikini wax and seemed to be paying very close attention. She did a great job on my bikini area. However, when I got home, I noticed a full strip of hair on my upper thigh about 2 inches wide and the full length of my thigh that she had missed. On both of my shins and calves, instead of the hair being pulled out from the follicles, the hair was broken off. So instead of having smooth legs, my lower legs are already covered in stubble. There's no point in going back in and asking her to fix it; the hair will have to grow all the way out before it can be waxed again. I'll have to shave today, the day after I paid to have a full leg wax. I expected more for the cost and from all the positive reviews posted. read more
