She had already been assigned to him, and her insurance plan was active. I called the office three days in a row and left messages. When I finally reached a staff member, she very quickly checked the insurance portal and told me she could not find my mom's name. I had just gotten off the phone with the insurance company, who confirmed that my mom was in the system and assigned to Dr. Sheybani. When I tried to explain this, the staff member repeatedly gave the same response and did not make any additional effort to re-check or search more thoroughly. She then told me that the doctor was not accepting new patients--despite the fact that he is listed by the insurance as a provider who is accepting new patients. Because of this contradiction, I went in person to the public office to clarify what was happening. There, I confirmed again that my mom is in the system and that Dr. Sheybani is indeed her assigned doctor. I am a healthcare service provider myself, and I understand how critical respectful communication and client relations are in a medical setting. Regardless of how skilled a physician may be, the front office staff are the first point of contact--and they represent the practice. This is a medical office, not a retail store; patients are often worried, unwell, or caring for vulnerable loved ones. The dismissive and unhelpful attitude we encountered suggests that the staff would greatly benefit from additional training in professionalism, empathy, and problem-solving.

**Life-Changing Experience - I Finally Got to the Root of My Exhaustion!**…read more I've been exhausted since I was 13 years old, constantly being told my thyroid labs were "normal," even though I had every symptom of hypothyroidism -- cold hands and feet, brain fog, unrelenting fatigue. As a registered nurse (RN) and someone whose mother had her thyroid removed at 27, I just knew something was off. I even wrote a book on optimizing thyroid function because I went so deep into the rabbit hole trying to fix this on my own. But despite clean eating, dedication, and endless research, the exhaustion never lifted. Then I came across Regenics at the LA Fit Expo and decided: this is the year I get answers.
