Hydrocodone causes peripheral vasodilation and suppresses the central nervous system. By introducing this opioid, even though asked for, Dr. Sheybani directly blocked the body's natural compensatory reflexes. This error forced a profound, addictive spike in blood pressure. Placing me at immediate risk for severe hypertension, orthostatic syncope, and cardiovascular shock. Furthermore, Dr. Sheybani failed to account for severe addictive central nervous system and respiratory depression. Hydrocodone directly suppresses the brains respiratory center.
