I was offered a beverage from a variety of choices as soon as I walked in. Shira took care of the microneedling procedure and was extremely kind and kept checking if I felt any pain throughout the process which really calmed my nerves for my first time. She went over each area as she went through which was really reassuring so I knew what to expect and was very thorough in explaining and providing aftercare. I had the best possible first microneedling experience I could have had here despite being nervous at first but Amanda and Shira really made me feel at ease and I will absolutely trust them again with my next treatment!

I genuinely feel beautiful. A little backstory because the context is important: I originally came to Skinic for lymphatic drainage the day before a trip and the treatment itself was incredible. Like 10/5 stars. I was SO relaxed afterward I felt like I was floating. Right after my treatment, Cassie, the manager, was incredibly kind and gave me tea, sat me down in her office, and asked how everything went. I was telling her how amazing it was, and then the conversation shifted into a package offer. I know this is normal in the beauty/wellness industry, but for me personally, it immediately took me out of the blissful state I was in. I just wanted to leave and bask in how good I felt. It bothered me enough that I actually came back inside and told her. I was emotional that day and definitely passionate about how much it had affected my experience, but the actual service had been so good that I wanted to be honest about the one thing that took away from it. We ended up really hearing and empathizing with each other. Cassie wanted to make it right and invited me to come back after my trip for the exact same treatment, completely complimentary. So when I got back from my trip, I came in for the treatment. Cassie greeted me with so much warmth and told me it was going to be the best massage of my life. And it absolutely was. No exaggeration. Anna is unbelievable. She told me she's been doing lymphatic drainage for about four years, but I would have guessed 10+. She showed me what a real lymphatic drainage treatment is supposed to feel like. I'm naturally inquisitive, so she explained the different lymph points and how the lymphatic system works as she went. When she was working on my stomach, I could actually hear and feel the fluid moving. It was WILD. By the time she finished, I immediately felt lighter and flatter. I had also told her my legs were sore from a workout. Without me having to ask her to adjust anything, she picked up on every tiny flinch or moment of tension in my body and changed her pressure accordingly. She has this incredible intuition for what your body needs. I felt completely safe and comfortable with her, both physically and emotionally. At one point, while she was draining my face, I actually started crying. I'd been holding onto a lot emotionally, and something about finally relaxing enough to let it out just opened the floodgates. My nose started getting stuffy and my eyes started puffing up as I cried, and Anna just kept gently working and draining my face through it. By the end, even my stuffy nose was gone. It genuinely felt like she got EVERYTHING out of me. The treatment was incredibly effective but also so peaceful. I felt like I was floating and so much lighter afterward. I left feeling beautiful, in love with myself, in love with the world, and honestly in love with Skinic. I really want to give Cassie credit too. She didn't just say she wanted to make my first experience right, she actually did it. The treatment was truly comped, there was no catch, and she made sure I was taken care of from the second I walked back through the door. What started as a moment that almost made me not return ended up showing me how much she actually cares about her clients, the quality of the people she hires, and how people feel when they leave her business. That gift ended up meaning so much more to me than I ever expected. Cassie absolutely has my business, and Anna has ruined every other lymphatic drainage massage for me forever lol. I paused my membership late last year after a job layoff and was specifically told that when reinstated, my anniversary special would be pushed back by the number of months I paused. When that wasn't honored at time of service, I spent over two months chasing down customer service, only to finally be told that their "system doesn't accommodate non-consecutive months"... -- Huh? What about a human overriding the computer? -- Despite the fact that I was given incorrect information by their staff (Tyler) at time of pause, there was zero willingness to take responsibility or find mutual resolution. This is especially disappointing after years of loyalty and referring multiple people to Alchemy 43. I completely understand policies, staff, and systems change, but customers shouldn't be penalized for wrong information provided by the company. I would not have paused if I was simply told this was the policy. It's also worth noting I continued to come here after my longtime injector Tiffany left earlier this year along with a majority of the staff. It's the complete lack of consideration and accountability that I've chosen to cancel today. Computers may not accommodate, but humans should -- especially if your humans made the error to begin with.

I recently had the Moxi laser treatment and was very happy with the results. The medspa has a welcoming team that made me feel at ease. The staff walked me through the steps of the Moxi process, explaining what I could expect, and making sure I was comfortable throughout the session. Surprised it has this high of a rating. Don't feel like it deserves it…read more They confirmed the Hollywood Spectra in writing. I asked for it repeatedly, in writing and in person. I had one issue, stubborn spot and pigmentation treatment. Mentioned it about 50 times in the waiting room. Gave me CO2 instead all over my face-- wrong treatment, no consent, for supposed "texture" that I don't have, with zero wrinkles and acne scars, leaving damage on my skin soon before an important event. I only asked for light CO2 for dark spots - that was it. Seems like the provider doesn't have working ears? During the appointment: comments about my lashes, weird comments about my age (I'm on the younger side), blamed my spots on hormones (never had issues with hormones before), couldn't answer what percentage of dark spots would improve. They waived the fee and gave me free products only after I escalated. Too little, too late. Threw a whole wrench into my schedule - awful results. Blamed it on "misunderstanding". If I ask for something 50 times, how is it a misunderstanding? Probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I emphasized how busy I was and how little time I had. Zero competence and zero intelligence. Probably one of the dumbest clinics that I've ever gone to. It takes a lot to get strong of language out of me, so you can imagine how awful their treatment was. Everything that they handled from the beginning to the end, whether it was the consultation, whether it was the actual treatment, whether it was the incompetent awful provider or whether it was even the management that was incredibly condescending. Just horrible. Final text message asking me if I had "calmed down". You gave me a treatment I didn't need, on a setting I didn't ask for, ignored me in the room multiple times when I mentioned what I came in here for, then tried to deflect the blame on me -- marked with definite jealousy, condescension, and arrogance. Save your money and go somewhere else as there are so many better spots available in the area. One star. Factual. Done.

I believe Jamie especially has repeatedly shown BAD-FAITH,…read moreUNETHICAL, GREEDY, DECEPTIVE, MANIPULATIVE, MISLEADING and COERCIVE conduct and tactics that are primarily focused on keeping your money and not refunding you for what I consider a botched cosmetic result with even hard bumps under the skin that Dr. Ahdout had to manipulate which was painful. The focus should be on transparency as well as patient's health and well-being - not GREED. They also violate boundaries. Dr. Ahdout gave me her word that Jamie would not contact me further. Yet, Jamie contacted me despite my numerous written and verbal requests to cease contact. I believe I may be able to file a police report for harassment. Additionally, I believe Jamie even went as far as providing DECEPTIVE MISINFORMATION about matters that can affect health in further attempts to not refund me. I believe this is highly unethical and concerning conduct especially for a dermatologist office. I am posting this review after multiple attempts to resolve this matter. I left a message and sent emails the first time and I did not receive a call from Dr. Ahdout. The same thing happened a second time. I posted a review the first time and Jamie called right away so I removed it. When I went in to show Dr. Ahdout the result of her work - I felt gaslit because she was questioning me as to why she would do a job like this. She again asked on the phone yesterday as what I think happened - a question she herself should answer. She then said there are no before and after photos. I reminded her AGAIN that I have before photos on my phone that her own assistant took. Dr. Ahdout then asked if I would agree to a credit. I declined. She then said that they have a "policy" that once a patient asks for a refund they can't return to the office. I informed her that I would not want to work with a business that has punitive policies. I believe both her conduct and Jamie's conduct revolved mainly around keeping my money. When I first brought up the refund, Jamie immediately became aggressive on the phone and used what felt like patronizing repetition. She kept repeating my name aggressively as soon as I mentioned a refund, which felt like an attempt to cut me off and silence me. Jamie even went as far suggesting that the tightness was "normal". She even pointed to her face claiming she felt the same. I knew the tightness was not normal. When I asked Dr. Ahdout, she confirmed that it was not normal. I do not appreciate being gaslighted or having my concerns normalized as though this is something I should simply tolerate. This involves health and providing misinformation to patients can have great liability. Jamie also asked if I would want to do a correction. I declined. I noted in my review and also in an email to Dr. Ahdout's as well as during her call yesterday that I do not want to interact with Jamie at all. Dr. Ahdout GAVE ME HER WORD that she will call me back herself. Dr. Ahdout did NOT keep her word. Instead Jamie called and went back and forth attempting to claim that it wasn't 2 items I purchased and it was 1.5. She said Dr. Ahdout said there was "a confusion" and it was 1.5 items. I informed her that's false. Besides Dr. Ahdout's own prior confirmations - the invoice is more than clear. I explained, again, that Dr. Ahdout confirmed with me TWICE, once in front of her own assistant in person and again on the phone yesterday, that it was 2 items. Jamie went back and forth for at least 10 minutes arguing. I kept asking her to ask Dr. Ahdout. She refused 3 times and continued to argue. I kept mentioning what I paid for. She finally checked my invoice although she had ALREADY SEEN my invoice as she is the one who charged me AND even emailed it to me. She FINALLY agreed it was 2 items. I believe these practices are EXTREMELY DECEPTIVE and GREEDY. Then Jamie said their "corporate" is going to send me an email to sign "a form". I told her I'm not signing a release form as I need to see another doctor. Patients should not be forced to sign a release form to receive a refund. Jamie said their corporate "requires" this and that they will contact me. AGAIN, she displayed a pattern of violating boundaries and as soon as I would say their corporate did not have my consent to contact me - she would BLATANTLY REPEAT they will contact me. I informed her that at this point I have to do a full chargeback on the 2 items. I contacted my bank and did a full chargeback on the agreed upon amount. If they create ANY extra emotional distress and dispute the chargeback - I will immediately involve my counsel without further notice and use ALL legal remedies to not only obtain my money in full, but to also hold them fully liable for all damages including corrections needed and the emotional distress caused related to this matter and their conduct. I will also expand my online review to other platforms as I see fit.

When receiving the treatment, it did feel more "clinical", in that Jess seemed to inspect my skin and know exactly what treatments to do, but the "how" was a lot less of a priority. For example, putting things on my skin in a rushed way or needing to leave the room multiple times to get something for the treatment. I didn't mind this, but wanted to flag for people who are seeking a quiet, relaxation-focused experience. The hydration facial immediately had my skin texture feeling much smoother. After a few days, the extractions really helped clear my breakouts.

Due…read moreto repeated and highly concerning conduct, I believe Jamie's conduct, as well as Dr. Jennifer Ahdout's conduct and practices, SERIOUSLY LACK ETHICS, MORALS and INTEGRITY. In my experience, Dr. Jennifer Ahdout performed BOTCHED work and then attempted to GASLIGHT me about its appearance by BLATANTLY suggesting that the area had already looked that way before the procedure. During two separate conversations, she stated, "There are no before photos," even after I told her that her own assistant had taken before photos on my phone. Those photos CLEARLY show that the area did not look that way before her botched work. Further, when I raised the issue of a refund, Jamie first attempted to SILENCE, then attempted to COERCE even going so far as to MANIPULATIVELY and UNETHICALLY suggest that the physical discomfort I was experiencing was normal. Jamie then attempted - yet again COERCIVELY and MANIPULATIVELY to reduce the amount owed even noting that Dr. Jennifer Ahdout said the amount was less even though Dr. Ahdout had already confirmed the correct amount with me directly TWICE - once during a follow up visit and again a second time a day prior to the phone conversation with Jamie. Then Jamie finally agreed to the correct amount, and ultimately refused to issue the refund without requiring me to sign a release form. I am leaving this review in addition to my review of Dr. Jennifer Ahdout because this matter is twofold. Dr. Jennifer Ahdout stated that she is "just an employee", but that she will talk to Jamie when I voiced my concerns about how Jamie became immediately aggressive when I mentioned a refund. The Roxbury Institute collected the money for her work, yet has been extremely unprofessional, dishonest, and greedy, in my opinion, regarding the refund. Dr. Ahdout also promised to get back to me but has remained silent and has done nothing to ensure that I receive a refund for the botched work she performed. In my experience, Dr. Jennifer Ahdout performed a botched job, and the Roxbury Institute has refused to properly refund me for it. It's also a large amount. Instead of standing behind its work and simply returning the substantial amount of money I paid for the botched treatment, I have been forced to go back and forth with the office and my bank for weeks. Jamie has been aggressive, rude, and unprofessional, and, in my opinion, extremely dishonest, shady and greedy throughout this process. Sge even went as far as providing false information that even Dr. Ahdout agreed was false. The office has repeatedly made what should have been a straightforward refund unnecessarily difficult and has attempted to avoid returning a large amount of money that I believe is clearly owed to me. Jamie finally agreed to the amount, but was attempting to force me to sign a release form. I refused. She says that can't refund without a release form. In my experience and opinion, this conduct reflects a serious lack of integrity and ethics. A professional office should perform competent work, stand behind that work, and promptly make things right when something goes wrong. not put a customer through weeks of unnecessary back and forth to recover her own money. I highly recommend finding a professional office that provides competent treatment, treats its customers with respect, honors its work, and takes responsibility when that work is not performed properly.

On the positive side, my experience with the doctor and her assistant was outstanding. If I were rating based on the clinical care alone, it would easily be 5 stars. However, the front desk and overall communication system need serious improvement. From the beginning, interactions felt very minimal and disengaged, not necessarily rude, but not welcoming or particularly helpful. It feels like asking even basic questions is a burden. Also, there has been a consistent lack of follow-through. I called multiple times over the course of a few weeks to get clarification on a product recommendation from my doctor, and although I was told each time that they would check and get back to me, I never received a response. There are also some operational issues that make things more frustrating than they need to be. The website is not up to date with all of the services offered, so you have to call to get basic information, which is discouraging when responses are typically low effort, short, and dismissive. They expect you to call knowing exactly what you want. It feels very transactional. Any question you ask feels like too much, and it does not feel like a space where follow-up questions are welcomed. There is no easy way to cancel appointments online, and when I used their messaging system to cancel, I did not receive any confirmation and had to call later just to make sure it was actually canceled. I would still recommend the providers themselves, but I hope the office improves its communication, follow-through, and systems because it really impacts the overall patient experience.
