I am going on a food tour and that started at Skinner's Pub with their all you can eat Spaghetti night special. It is spaghetti with toast and comes with the choice of soup or salad. I got a salad and it came loaded with cheese and cucumbers. You get your choice of dressing. The spaghetti itself was good. The sauce is thin but flavorful. It also comes with meatballs. There was also delicious buttered toast on the side. I had two plates of spaghetti and left with leftovers for 12 dollars before tip. Was it the best spaghetti I've ever had? No, my aunt owns an Italian restaurant but it was homestyle. It hit the spot and the value cannot be beaten. The restaurant was PACKED at 4:30 PM and there was a reason for that. Service was great as well. I will happily add Spaghetti Tuesdays to my rotation. read more

Went here the other day. Had wings, pizza and the potato skins. Service was decent. Nothing too crazy. Typical dive bar aesthetic. Dark lighting and some sports going on in the background. If you live close and there are no other options, then come but otherwise probably not worth it. I do not recommend it. read more

This is definitely a dive bar but it's a good one! The regulars are always present which makes it fun. Service is friendly and quick. Food is decent. They're famous for their pizza which is really good! Small lot and street parking. Nice patio as well. They have a free bus to take you to many sporting events. read more

This place is probably my favorite restaurant in the cities, I'm there a lot and pretty much everywhere on their menu is incredible, from the crispy buffalo wings, to the tacos, to my most recent obsessions, which are the Italian sub, the cod sando, and their steak night on Wednesdays! Ate at Skinner's last night with my three sons. The totcho's were fantastic! We had a sausage/pepperoni pizza - a Reuben (it was massive) and a chicken dinner. Everything was great and the service was excellent. Great food and service at an amazingly reasonable price. Will return soon read more

Sunday Funday ended on Skinner's Patio and it was a great choice! The pizza was really good. The thin crust held up to the ingredients, ample cheese and toppings, tasty sausage and the sauce was saucing. Wings were fried perfectly and the Jojos were both inexpensive and perfectly crunchy but soft in the middle. Service was friendly and efficient. Drinks were good too. read more

I love a good cheese pizza and this is a good one. Don't skip on the burger. Also a very good choice. I don't know why I love their mini tacos so much. Known for the pizza and burgers, I recently learned the red pizza sauce is the same recipe as former Old World Pizza (a 50-year old shop if you know you know). I heard good things about skinners from a few people, and went for the first time last weekend. I tried the Italian fries and wings - 1/2 Cajun and 1/2 BBQ. The Cajun wings were pretty good, but not a lot of meat on those suckers. The Italian fries were great. I appreciated the amount of cheese they use. Our service/server was awful. She had a bad attitude and never refilled drinks unless asked. I love myself a dive bar, but in my opinion, I'd rather go to a place that serves a smile and friendly service over what we got. read more

Sometimes you just want great bar food at a dive bar style joint. We found it! First time visiting Skinner's. It's super easy to get to. We all shared the tatchos, pizza fries, JoJo's, Taco Pizza and "Top of the Line" pizza. They don't skimp on the toppings or cheese on any of their items we ordered. The portions were generous. The place was packed! Service was slow but it was a Friday evening. We arrived at 5:30 and left at 7:30. Almost every table was full and take out orders were going out continuously while we were there. Thankfully we weren't in a hurry. The place has a small parking lot along with street parking. Best date with my MN Gopher football lover! We were far from home (and the game) so I pulled up my handy-dandy Yelp app & found this gem! The bar area was already packed with Gopher fans, but we found good seating in the dining area (close to the extremely large TVs). Mr. Gopher decides to have a tap beer-and found the Schells Firebrick (16oz=$5.25) a great beer to cheer the team on with! Walked here while waiting for car maintenance to be completed across the street. Upon entry, I was the " only one " and yet the bar was pretty busy but the bartender (never caught her name, but she wore glasses) she greeted me and offered me seating. Being greeted while in a bit of a rush is always a great start to the service that can typically be followed. I ordered the fish sandwich (not walleye) the other. Forgot the menu item. However the fish sandwich came out fresh and hot! The ambiance is your typical small bar atmosphere but the service from the bartender was AMAZING! She was NOT my server, my server service was good too but the bartender set the tone. I will definitely return to have another fish sandwich. read more

Stopped in here to see if the Gopher football game was on. It was on all televisions with many fans present. This is a nice neighborhood bar with good food and good taps. We enjoyed the Top of the Line Pizza with sauerkraut. It was very tasty. I also enjoyed a couple of Schells Firebrick while watching the Gophers win.
