This opened up a few years ago. In the summer I see many people eating ice cream outside on the benches. It was a cold cloudy day but after eating at a restaurant in the same area we stopped by. We were welcomed by the manager who was sweet and funny. I like that they had many options from milk shakes to sundaes to hot drinks etc. the old fashion candy we grew up with they sold there. However, 2 milkshakes later came to $21 which was a shock. The ice cream isn't homemade so not sure why it was expensive. The other drinks and candy were reasonably priced. It is a nice general store place to visit and go back in time and they have homemade chocolates. Next time I will try their chocolates! read more

Just went back after being away (during COVID) for so long. I swear I consumed two pounds of chocolate pretzels. My son loves the salted carmels. Rachel, the owner, had me try some sort of peanut butter chocolate brownie (?) thingie. OMG! Amazing. I bought bags. I noticed some people complain about her price here. Her quality is top notch. Overpriced- Owner has a sign up stating you must show a vaccination card or wear a mask. Meanwhile she wasn't wearing a mask and none of her friends were wearing masks either. I was trying to buy chocolate out of the case but her friends were busy hanging out in front of the case slurping down ice cream cones. I was gonna spend a mint on chocolate, although it took about 5 minutes for someone in the back to wait on us since the owner was busy playing with her friends. I just bought a few thing for my kids and didn't even bother with the chocolate. The best place around to buy chocolate is Bergen's on Morris rd in West Point not this place. read more

we stopped for ice cream yesterday which was fantastic and served with a smile ! but what really stuck out is that my husband lost his phone and when I went out on a limb and called Sweet Spot , Abby happily reported they had the phone . in returning to their shop to pick up the phone , Abby was genuinely happy and actually excited that it worked out . good ice cream is great - good people AMAZING and create lifelong customers! thanks Abby - we'll be back ! read more

Stopped here after dinner with friends...great little place with friendly staff and an owner who clearly loves what she does. My friends and I were waxing nostalgic over the candy selection from our childhoods....Bottlecaps, pop rocks, candy cigarettes, razzles and on and on. There is a small selection of British candy, plus gelato and coffee/cappuccino. There is one small table inside the store and several outside. Worth a pop-in if you are strolling Skippack. read more

Exploring the area during the winter wine fest, we came across Miss Riddle's. The selection of various candies offered was pretty amazing. They also offer coffee and ice cream. This place is certainly your stop to fill a particularly difficult to find craving. The prices might be a bit on the high side, but something has to cover the expenses of the selection. Living in the city, this place won't make my usual visit list, but I could see stopping by for something unique while out in the 'burbs. read more

There's a number of things about Miss Riddle's that put it in a class far above the Sweet Factory and the like. First, take note - they're the only place I know outside of Center City where you can get hand dipped Capogiro gelato. If you don't know what that is, then there's a treat waiting for you... The gelato is a nice way to finish a restaurant meal in Skippack, or just if your passing through on a hot afternoon. As for the candy; I'm generally partial to the gummy and hard-sugar candy - which they can oblige. However, Miss Riddle's curated chocolate case always has something new and enticing to offer. They've also got the most interesting chocolate bars from "fancy-pants" brands you've never heard of. They made me a very reasonably priced gift basket for my choc-o-phile grandmother, and there were no complaints. They have a parking lot and, and, and - for the husband who's been dragged to Skippack against his will on when there's a perfectly good Phillies game on, you can hang out with Charlie and watch on the flat screen right in the store. read more

If you are looking for a wide variety of candy, friendly atmosphere, or a trip down memory lane to the old candy shops of yore, you need to go here. First off, the selection. It's not just Hershey's and MARS candy here. They have wrapped bars, yes, but they also have; -Imported overseas candy, including candy with bacon and candy with a wide variety of herbs. They also have candies that you can only find on the west coast of the USA, so if you have migrated over and feel homesick, this is the place to go. -Retro candy from the older days that you can't find anymore. The also have a small fridge filled with the real sugar (not cornsyrup) sodas. -Self serve bins with loose candies, including a large amount of different gummies, blow-pops, and chewy candy. -A chilled glass case filled with truffles, coated pretzels, and other delights. The best part is that they change up the case depending on what's popular/in season, so you can usually always find something new in the case. -A gelato machine in the summer time, and a hot chocolate/hot cider machine in the winter. Second, the staff is wonderful. Every time I go in there, I spend at LEAST and hour talking to whoever is in that day. Genuine friendliness and helpfulness abounds in this place. Third. it's not some place that is going to be out of your league depending on your income. Whether you just want to grab some M&Ms or sample the finer stuff, it's NOT like the King of Prussia or Philly stores that charge an arm for a tiny piece. I have been steadily going here since they opened up. Everyone owes it to themselves to come here at least once, and bring their friends/kids/parents/everyone-they-know with them. read more

Love this local stop! It's a delightful little treat in the heart of Skippack; been frequenting since they opened the doors. We were ecstatic they decided to add Capogiro gelato to their lineup of sweets. Now a short walk saves us a trip downtown! On an average night they have about six flavors to choose from. Lots of decadent chocolates (a favorite being the dark chocolate salted caramels) in the case that are sure to please all the taste buds. We take all our out of town guests here. read more

Quaint little candy shop with all the old fashioned candies of yesterday, novelty candies of today, eccentric treats such as chocolate covered bacon and gourmet chocolate. You can also get a wide variety of gummy candies including gummy chicken feet, a "local favorite" ( well at least a favorite of the sweet and enthusiastic young lady serving us. They also have a nice selection of gelato. I great little spot for a treat after a dinner date, or for the kids on an afternoon or evening. They even have a few video games on hand and a nice porch for sitting on a cool summer evening. read more

Wow! A great place to go after a night out and grab some candy or gelato. It's right across the street from the comic book store and within walking distance to everything in Skippack. We sat on the front porch and ate but we could have sat inside (which is like being a kid in a candy store!). They have a great assortment of the old time greats and many new treats including locally made gluten free deserts as well as local raw honey. The owner was very helpful and offered us samples, yum.
