It's in cute, little downtown Newtown, tucked away near Pat's Colonial Kitchen, a homey, breakfast brunch spot. They carry some ol'school candies like Fruit Stripe gum, Whatchamacallits(I had no idea they still made those), along with assorted chock's and candies by the pound..enough variety to make everyone happy. i'm regularly in Newtown, but this was the first time i stumbled upon this little sweet spot..if you have a craving and happen to be nearby then this spot is for you.

We wish them great success there! I mention its neighbor because that is the way I first noticed this shop set back from the street. I came out of Duck Sauce and walking on the covered front porch I noticed the new store and went in to have a look. I didn't know that homemade chocolate would taste so good after a good spicy Asian meal, but it did! In fact, I suggest that these owners talk to each other and start to cross market their goods. A little chocolate delivered with the lunch or dinner bill would be a great touch (and better than the Andes Mints). A discount coupon for a quality Chinese or Thai repast with the purchase of $10. worth of candy, would also be a hot commodity. Maybe they are already doing that, but I did not see it. Come talk to me. S/P is a veritable wonderland of sweets set in a well appointed comfortable setting. Made to look "country," it succeeds in taking you away from the world outside and dropping you into a childhood daydream. Hard not to smile and salivate when looking at the enormity of the collection here, and reminiscing about those candies you craved as a kid. Yes. It is a little decadent, but it is so innocent that no one will turn you in to the diet police.

If none of those appeal to you, your only alternative is to choose a pasta with a standard sugo (tomato sauce). There are also a couple of sandwich options, but those are limited as well. There's little to no flexibility--if it's not on the menu, they're not likely to accommodate substitutions or custom requests. That said, the two young men I encountered were both professional and not snarky at all in relaying the limitations. It was what it was. I went with rigatoni in sugo, topped with grated Parmesan. The pasta was excellent--perfectly al dente, and the sauce had great flavor and consistency. Authentic and well-prepared. That said, the downsides are hard to ignore. The portion was relatively small, and with a bottle of Italian soda, the total came to $22.58--closer to $30 with tip. There's also no complimentary bread. Focaccia is available for $5, but it didn't look particularly appealing (a bit dark and overly crisp), though I didn't try it. Pros: * Delicious, authentic Italian pasta * Perfect texture and well-balanced sauce * Clean, attractive trattoria setting Cons: * Very limited menu (pasta and a few sandwiches) * No customization or flexibility * Price feels high for the portion size * No complimentary bread Overall, a tasty experience, but the limited menu and value may not work for everyone.

This was only an inquiry about prescriptions ordered by my specialist. I never expected this type of treatment from any pharmaceutical company employee! My recommendation; stay as far away from this pharmacy unless you like being treated ignorantly, by an unprofessional, condescendingly, rude, ignorant person, who lacks both empathy and compassion! I have never in my life been treated like this, and I have been sick for 34 years, with fibromyalgia, chronic Lyme disease, spinal cord injured, with a whole list of other aliments. When you deal with chronic illness, this is the last way in which a person needs to be treated. All customers of ANY PHARMACY SHOULD BE TREATED WITH RESPECT! I AM APPALLED BY THE BEHAVIOR OF THIS INDIVIDUAL. SO AGAIN I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PHARMACY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! I will be reporting him to the state licensing board. *********************************************Update: Just received a message from a Jeff from this Pharmacy, he was unhappy with this review, my response to this is: if you don't like this kind of review then don't treat customers in such a manner. He wants to claim that this review was false, however I stand 100 % behind this review, I have the proof as to how I was treated, and this Jeff is just delusional. Again I stand by what I wrote, if anyone else like the owner of this establishment, wants to discuss it further, I will be happy to have the dialogue, in a calm and respectful manner. ******
