First off, there were two people behind the counter, a young man and an older woman. I have never seen either one of them before. Usually, the staff wears green smock-style aprons with "The Larder" printed across the chest. These two people were not wearing aprons. When I got up to the register, I asked about a specific product's availability and was looked at like I was from another planet. I asked again and was given a quick, non direct, somewhat of an answer. Then after I paid, I said "thank you", to which both employees stood silent and turned away. No "you're welcome", no "have a nice day". That is definitely not the normal there. Also, I was not given a bag- I had to struggle carrying my purchases to the car. I hope the original owner is alright and was just off for the day. If today was any indication of how the store will be from now on, I think I will shop elsewhere. I hate to say what an unpleasent experience I had, as I have always enjoyed shopping here.

I received a box of Truffles for Christmas and have to hide them from Me. They are and have always been my favorite candies. This is my first experience with Raymer's Truffles and I can say they are the best. I live in New Mexico and have not found any thing here to compare to these Truffles. I will be ordering myself another box soon. Thank you for a fine and very delicious candy treat. I would like to share them with friends here, but I am very protective of my truffles. If you love chocolate, this is the place for you! Although they are a little pricy, the quality is WELL WORTH IT. They also have a really nice selection of sugar free chocolate for anyone who is diabetic and loves an occasional sweet treat. They also have plenty of other candies that you'd typically find at any candy store as well as seasonal treats - some made on premises and some purchased. It is really worth a visit! read more

If you're in Doylestown, make it a point to stop at my favorite chocolatier/candy shop! The chocolate is high quality & everything tastes like it is made with love & care.
