If you want to know what is going on with Milton-Union Schools or the local Bulldog Team, this is the place to be! Food is simple but well done, the beer is cold and the conversations are always friendly, unless you're from Tipp, Oakwood, Brookville or God-forbid, Valley View. I especially recommend the Chili and the Pot Roast Sandwich! Pork Tenderloin is good, too, and the onion rings worth the calories! Service is always friendly but not fast. The Staff moves quickly, but this isn't a place where customers are in a rush, or want to be rushed. They do do carry-out, so if you want a great picnic, the West Milton Park overlooks the Stillwater River and is only a block away East, sitting on the river bluff. If you want some real adventure wander downtown from Sourmugs to Wertz's Hardware & 5 & Dime. You're never quite sure what treasures you can discover in there!

I had potato skins with bacon , cheddar and mozzarella cheese. It's served with a sour cream pac. It's pretty good and it didn't last long. Next I had the turkey Reuben. On a nice dark rye, turkey lunchmeat, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and thousand island dressing. Pro: It was served hot and it tasted pretty good but... Con: The rye bread was too thin and turkey lunchmeat probably isn't the best choice. It's a worthy place. People are very friendly and talkative. It's a great place to relax and kick back. And I'd like to try other things on the menu. As Arnold said, 'I'll be back!'

Oh my goodness, this British gastropub is the real deal! I quickly checked the Yelp reviews, and…read moremade an evening reservation, not checking what the parking situation was like. Well, my bad - their website includes multiple accessible places to park in and around the village. That said, we got it, and decided to belly up to the bar for a better look at the offerings and the place in general. Matt O was our server. I started with a delicious Scottish Ale, and my companion had a glass of wine. Prices are reasonable. My companion ordered and raved about the Shepherd's Pie. I had Bangers & Mash - sausage (3 pieces) with imported horseradish mustard, mashed potatoes, gravy, delicious baked beans. It went perfectly with my pint! It was a warm afternoon so the glass garage doors were opened wide and folks were eating and drinking outside in the beer garden too. The vibe was loud, lively and very positive. Music was old school British Invasion '60s style. Good times seemed to be had by everyone. We finished with a locally produced Chocolate Rum Cake - it was rum forward and smooth, dark chocolatey! Highly recommended.

The atmosphere was charming, the décor was exactly what we were hoping for, and the menu felt genuinely true to British cuisine rather than a themed interpretation. Unfortunately, our visit took place on a colder day, and the large garage-style door connecting to the outdoor seating area was left open. As a result, the entire restaurant felt quite cold throughout our meal. Since we were dining with our infant son, this made it difficult to fully enjoy the experience and was our biggest disappointment of the evening. In fact, it was cold enough that we kept our coats on throughout dinner, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the atmosphere the restaurant had worked so hard to create. We also ordered the fish and chips. The quality of the fish was very good, and it was clearly prepared with care. However, the portion size left something to be desired. The meal included only one medium-sized piece of fish, which felt small for a dinner entrée, especially considering the price point. While the food itself was enjoyable, we were hoping for a more substantial serving. Despite these issues, The Last Queen delivered on atmosphere, authenticity, and food quality. I would be willing to give it another try, particularly during warmer weather, as I believe the temperature and comfort level had a significant impact on our overall experience.

Our drinks came out fairly quickly, and the staff seemed attentive at first. After about 40 minutes, we asked about our food and were told it would be out soon. Another 20 minutes passed with no food, and we noticed tables that were seated after us were already eating. By this point, our drinks had been empty for over 30 minutes, and nobody offered refills or checked on us. Around 65 minutes after placing our order, we asked again where our food was. Yes, the restaurant was busy when we arrived, but by then most of the restaurant had already been served. We could also hear staff in the back arguing loudly enough for customers to hear about how long the order had been waiting. At around 70 minutes, we asked for a manager and were told there wasn't one available, which is unacceptable for a restaurant. Eventually they comped the food -- which still had not arrived -- but still charged us for drinks. The attitude from staff also became noticeably rude and dismissive. The most frustrating part was that multiple employees walked past our table, saw four empty glasses, and never once offered refills or even an update. This is actually my first Yelp review because I normally do not complain publicly, but this experience was bad enough that I felt people should know before spending their time and money here.

We had dinner here last night and it was great! We both had the turkey Reuben sandwiches. Thick, juicy turkey with a ton of sauerkraut and a delicious dressing! Settled into a former home modified to a restaurant and complete with a front patio and a back patio, this is a well-appointed, tidy place. We were immediately greeted as we entered through the back door and sat at a dining table inside. The staff is really friendly and offered some advice for us to order. We started with an order of cheese curds and ordered 2 cheeseburgers (the 'beast') with upgrade of fries, Asian salad with grilled chicken, and a turkey club with their in-house made potato chips. For Coca-cola product fans, they carry both Diet Coke and Coke Zero. Impressive beer menu - our table ordered one tall and one short. The food was very good. The portions large, and I suffered a case of FOMO enjoying my salad over the two beautiful cheeseburgers as well as the pizza at the table behind us. The fries are fried perfectly - lightly battered, crisp, and that gorgeous mahogany brown shade of a delicious deep fried delight. Our server was excellent and gave great counsel for what to try as well as efficiently taking care of us throughout the meal. Perfect balance of attention and service. On my short list to try next time is the pretzel with beer cheese (add Dijon), pizza, and one of those gorgeous cheeseburgers. Great spot!
