Stopped by yesterday with a group of eight people. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we arrived, and ordering was simple at the walk-up counter. They offer a lot of customization options for burgers, buns, toppings, and fries, which was nice to see. After ordering, you're given a number and can choose indoor or outdoor seating. Unfortunately, the biggest issue was the temperature inside. It was extremely hot and uncomfortable. We asked twice if a window could be opened to help circulate air, and although it seemed like staff acknowledged the request, nothing was done. Eventually, we opened the window ourselves, and nearby customers thanked us because they were feeling the same way. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time, but the food itself was disappointing. The burgers were just okay, and I only ended up eating about half of mine. The fries were very greasy, soggy, and tasted like they had been sitting in oil too long. They do make their own ketchup, which was decent, but the ranch was watered down, and I wasn't a fan of the house sauce either. The restaurant is fairly small inside, so seating can feel tight, especially for larger groups. While I appreciate the variety of menu options and the indoor/outdoor seating, the overall experience wasn't enjoyable enough for us to return the next time we're in town. read more

A group of five of us ate at this location last weekend. We were first introduced to the restaurant on diners, drive-ins, and dives! That did leave us with a high expectation, which might be why we were disappointed. Overall, everything seems to be underseasoned. We all had different items off of the menu, and every person thought that the flavor was lacking and the cost was too high. The service was fast and accurate, and all of the workers were friendly and helpful. They did not have any issues helping us, knowing it was our first time. I would say that the most interesting part is their soda fountain. It's not like a typical Coke or Pepsi product. It's something more boutique. For flavor and uniqueness this restaurant deserves a three star. But unfortunately for value I think it's closer to a two star. Asked a local for a really good burger place and this was his response. He was enthusiastic so I had to come. He was not wrong! Came her with my wife and a visiting friend. The burgers are amazing! The flavor is great. It's a big burger and the fries are both fresh and tasty. The beer is local and very good. I had an IPA and was very happy. The place is small but there's a close but communal inside eating area and a small outdoor area. While it has been busy every time I've been there, it never felt crowded. No wait service but I get it. Totally self serve. You order and pick up yourself. Get your own drink and bus your own table. If that bothers you, focus on the food, the good is great! We took the whole herd to The Skirted Heifer on a Sunday afternoon, and let's just say... I now fully understand the name. One look at that cheese-skirted masterpiece my kids ordered and I audibly said "ohhhhhh THAT'S the heifer." It's not just a burger--it's a dairy-draped experience. I ventured out and got the Hot Goat (burger of the week). Loved the creamy goat cheese--generous slather--but couldn't taste the hot honey at all. Not even a whisper. Sad for my sweet-heat loving soul. Hubby went full Guy Fieri and got the Hangover burger (as featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives) and he fell in greasy, yolky, cheesy love. Zero regrets. I think he saw a glimpse of the afterlife mid-bite. Fries? We tried both--Belgian and sweet potato. The Belgian seemed like classic fries (not complaining!), but the sweet potato stole the show. Bonus points for the help-yourself sauce station--ranch, ketchup, and that magical Heifer Sauce. Bless. Stopped into Skirted Heifer and tried their grass-fed Skirted Heifer burger with pickles and grilled onions. The beef was top-notch -- great flavor and seasoned perfectly. The signature cheese "skirt" definitely lives up to the name, spilling out the sides in a crispy, golden layer. For me, it was a bit too much cheese, but still tasty overall. My daughter had the kids cheeseburger and enjoyed it. Fries were crispy and well done, and all the toppings tasted super fresh and high quality. It's clear they care about the ingredients. One of the unexpected highlights was the soda -- I had the birch beer, which reminded me of an extra-smooth root beer. I can't remember the brand, but it was excellent. We felt like eating a good burger so we decided to stop at the Skirted Heifer. The service was so so, they were busy, but they seemed rushed. This was weird, because when I went to order, the young lady barely looked up and didn't greet me. She took my order, but didn't do anything to assist through the ordering process, she didn't say anything at all other than repeating my families order. I decided on the #5 B and B with sweet potato fries. I was eating the burger and about half way through, my stomach started to hurt. It could have been a combination of the blue cheese, bacon, and the burger, but it didn't sit well with my stomach. I cut the burger in half prior to eating, which after eating half the burger, it was a good stopping point. I ended up throwing the rest of it away (which I hate wasting food). The bright spot of the meal was the sweet potato fries. I normally don't like sweet potato fries, but the Skirted Heifer has the best sweet potato fries. They have a nice crisp and favor is light so you can taste the batter and the sweet potato. First, let me say, I didn't fully read the details when creating a pick-up order. Thats on me, but the deceptive images etc.. from their menu are well, wrong to say the least. Recently ordered 4 burgers, one of which was a kids burger. Got 3 drinks.. Total cost was almost $70 and when we got the order home, the only one that had fries was the kids meal. But had we added fries, the meal for 4 would have been almost $90. Ridiculous... The images in the ordering app for the burgers are all images with a burger and fries. simple right, nope, they charge extra for the fries even after making it "seem" like the fries are included. I have loved this spot 5 times in a row so far. Great burgers with above average meat quality, and interesting "burger of the week" options. We ordered on door dash. It was about 70.00 for two burgers and fries. And two sodas. The burgers were way overcooked. My husband said they tasted good, but it was hard to chew and hurt to swallow the grass fed burger. Mine was hard as a rock. Sloppily put together. I tried to eat it with a fork. lol the Belgian fries were greasy and the sweet potato fries were over cooked, hard and still remained greasy somehow. The black cherry soda was half full. The birch beer was missing a quarter of it. There was no tape on the covers. You can piss a delivery person off and they can open it and do what they wish. lol My husband said Carls Jr was better. I'd say you can expect to come and get a solid burger. I got the classic burger and was very happy with my choice. I got a side of fries as well and I loved those also. I really liked that they had a sauce option at the counter that had ranch, ketchup or their house sauce. It was self serve and such a nice touch for those of us who are sauce lovers. Their burger of the week sounded so good, I was tempted, and might have to go back just to try it. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, so expect to get a little cozy with those around, but not so bad that it's overwhelming. There is also some outside seating as well. I found everything just "ok". I did try the skirted burger, and it's definitely a lot of cheese. I picked off the majority of it. Hubby had a naked heifer with green chiles. Everything was delicious and the service was very friendly. This restaurant is in a shopping center with ample parking. Indoor seating is somewhat limited and there are a few tables in the shade outside. The wait was a little long on a busy Saturday, but well worth it. The heifer sauce is essentially thousand island dressing, and the soda dispenser contains pure cane sugar drinks. I didn't try those yet, but I plan to soon! read more

Both burgers were messed up, my husband had his remade because he cannot do lettuce or onion. I ate mine, but definitely took away from the experience. I get that it's a tight dining room during a dinner or lunch rush, but we were cleaning off our own table, wiping up sauce spills from previous patrons and squishing fries on the floor. Eww.
