Please note that the building has different entrances/exits for the dining room, bar, and to-go. For many years, Rodney's has been one of my mother-in-law's favorite restaurants, so I have eaten foods from here at least a few times. Here are my ratings for some recent foods: Soy Glazed Salmon - 5 stars - The salmon was a good size, was cooked nicely, and had a sweet soy glaze. It was served over flavorful brussels sprouts, carrots, and potatoes. Veal parmesan - 4 stars - Veal tenderloin medallions were breaded and topped with tomato sauce and provolone cheese. I liked that the breading was not soggy. Pecan-encrusted chicken salad - 4 stars - Chicken breast was encrusted with pecan breading and served atop a house salad with pecans, tomatoes, dried cranberries, and mandarin oranges. Grilled chicken salad - 4 stars - Grilled chicken breast was baked in Cajun butter and served atop a fresh house salad with cheeses, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, and fries.

Nothing spectacular, but will probably be my go to for the area. The burger was DRY and small. It tasted good, but the bread and condiments were all quite basic. I'd expect more for a $16 burger. The fries were seasoned well and also very DRY. Maybe overcooked? The service was okay... new staff still a little doe- eyed. The owner stopped by our table and offered us waters and said hello. They did completely mess up our order and gave us someone else's burgers... eventually they realized but did not try to rectify or apologize. We requested gluten free due to allergies so this was an issue. They were pretty busy at lunch time... no hard feelings. All in all I hope to see improvements in quality and maybe some more creative ideas.

When you walk in, it has a warm, inviting vibe. There are a variety of tables and seating options (including some couch and comfy chair type seating). You order by going up to the counter, and they either call your order or will bring it to your table when it is done if you are eating it there. One down side is that there is a fairly large menu and it isn't always easy to find/see all of the options when you are waiting to order. My daughter saw someone got a bubble tea but at the time we were looking, that menu wasn't easy to spot so we didn't even know it was something they offered! All of their food items are made to order (well, I suppose except for the soup which is home made and just dished out to order). They even have soup flights on certain days! I need to go back and try that because every soup I've ever had here has been delicious. They have the standard coffee menu but also always have some unique and quirky seasonal options. They also have smoothies, bubble teas and some other unique creations. They have tasty breakfast and lunch sandwiches, breakfast scrambles, mac and cheese and a variety of sandwiches. You can easily customize your meals and the staff is great about providing recommendations. It can take awhile to get your food/drinks, but that is because everything is made to order. They will also give you samples so you can pick which pint you ultimately want to purchase. The space itself is long and narrow. There are a few low top tables in the front, high top stools at the bar and high top round tables in the center. They have a few staple beers that are apparently always on tap along with several seasonal varieties. My favorite was one of their fall brews. It was packed with flavor and I was sad when they were out of it. But I've never been disappointed by anything I've tried here. Staff is always friendly and ready to offer recommendations. There is street parking right in front of the space, but there is also a surface lot about a minute walk away. Highly recommend a visit here!

I took a gamble ordering something with unique flavors and it definitely paid off. The Brie paired well with the raspberry mayo. The server was efficient, attentive and pleasant. It's a cozy atmosphere. With the refillable fresh cut fries, you're getting plenty of food and more bang for your buck! It's a great location- we went to Feathers Gift Shop and McFeely's for sweets afterwards and enjoyed walking around downtown.
