The experience is lack luster because they only hire "pretty girls"... The day of the dumb bar maid is over. They should consider MEN bartenders as well as Female bartenders who aren't just pretty, they actually know how to do the job. This place would have an easy 5 stars if they didn't have a staff that looked like they were a bunch of chickens running around with heads cut off. The days of people frequenting an establishment for "pretty girls" is over. We want "GOOD SERVICE"! This establishment does not currently have good service. Sad. read more

Salmon BLT was great once salmon was added. Cod was greasy and fries were under seasoned. Drinks were good and waitress was attentive but distant when serving. Had been previously and service and ambiance were excellent. Not so much this last visit. Maybe just a bad night. read more

Third time is a charm. As a local, I am unbelievably happy to have a restaurant nearby. This place could serve rocks and I would still want to come here, because it is the only game in town. It is a really fun spot with jukebox music, a good atmosphere, nice waitress, and pretty good food. Needless to say I'm super happy to have it close by and I hope they succeed! The restaurant is beautiful. The updates are all very nice, including custom bar and outside seating. They did keep the pool table, and dart board which is a major plus for those of us who came here when it was divey! I hope to see the food improve with time. Each time we stop in things go a little smoother. For the price point, it would be great to have a side (fries) included with burgers, wraps, etc. read more

This place is such a hidden gem! A great "dive bar" feel but it's far from a dive! The inside is super nice and updated! The staff was super nice and gave recommendations on what food to order. The menu is extensive but not fancy (which I liked!) We will certainly be back again! Loved my experience! read more

Stopped here for the first time due to seeing all good reviews and it did not disappoint! The restaurant/bar is newly remodeled and gives a country rustic feel. Very family friendly with lots going on. We arrived at 3pm on a Saturday and the place was hopping. People having a good time playing darts, pool and socializing. It was nice to see a place in the middle of nowhere come to life. I bet it's even better whenever it's not too cold outside to enjoy the beautiful deck area. They also have the garage door style windows and slide outs that open up to the outside. Whenever you enter there's a sign to seat yourself. They have plenty of tables big and small to sit. Plus a huge bar area. Once we were seated the waitress came over promptly to greet us and take our order. The service was outstanding. We had waitresses checking in on us and we weren't even their table. That right there says a lot! The menu had a ton of tasty looking options. The starters were fantastic! Truth be told I'd come back just for that! We started with the hot pepper cheese balls and the fiesta street corn dip. Both were equally delicious. I ordered a few different drinks as well. The strawberry margarita and the berry sangria spritzer. I wasn't expecting them both to be poured out of a can but hey it was still refreshing. I ordered the honey mustard wings with fresh cut fries for my entree and both were really good. The atmosphere is top notch and we'll definitely be back! Great experience all around. read more

Very nice and clean restaurant, bar in Eighty Four, Pa. Nice sized menu, plenty to choose from. I had the Cheesesteak. Juicy, tender steak, cheese, peppers and onions, on a fresh, toasted hoagie bun. A side of crunchy, yummy Onion Rings. It was all very good. Only one negative....they don't offer any sides with your sandwich. 6.00 for a side of o rings, 4.00 for a side of fries. This is happening everywhere with restaurants. For me, too many places are price gouging customers. No one forced me to go, or to get sides, but 46$ for two sandwiches and sides before a tip is a bit ridiculous. Like I said, everything was very good, but i would like to see this place include a side with your sandwich. read more

I recently ordered takeout from Mingo Creek Tavern, and I was thoroughly impressed! The wings were perfectly crispy with just the right amount of spice, and the fish sandwich was incredibly fresh and flavorful. What I enjoyed about it was that it was smaller and not the sandwich you get at most places that extends off of the bun. The wings we received were delicious. Everyone else's food they loved it. Each bite was a delightful experience. The service we received was exceptional - the staff was friendly, attentive, and ensured our order was ready promptly. The pickup process was seamless, and everything was packed perfectly for us to enjoy at home. With food this amazing and such excellent service, we can't wait to dine in next time. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a delicious meal and outstanding hospitality! The interior wood working from the photos really shines for this place. I wasn't here before when it was the Mingo Inn, but judging from previous to what it looks like now, wow they really invested time and money into a incredible establishment for the area. read more

Several women from our lunch group ate there this week. They couldn't have been more accommodating. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! The servers were friendly and professional. There were 30 of us and everyone agreed that we would be back. There is a large outside seating area that overlooks a beautiful view of the valley. It would be perfect for a warm day! Nice big bar with plenty of seats. Extensive menu with some unique items. Only had appetizers which were good. Good beer selection. Bartenders were attentive but not overly friendly. Decided to try the NEW place in the area. Very nice building outside and in. Was drizzling so seating outside was not an option. Could be a great place for a motorcycle stop in the summer. Was very noisy, I mean LOUD doesn't even come close. Architects and Builders can't even pronounce acoustics let alone plan for it anymore. Did I mention it was LOUD? Beautiful quaint bar inside. Food was horrible at best. Such a shame to have such a nice place with lousy food! Food makes or breaks a new establishment in the beginning. You get one chance at first impressions, not happening here. Nobody minds paying for good, quality meals but top dollar for frozen sub par fryer items, I won't be back anytime soon. Ordered take out sat at bar for a drink waiting. Order was done and server waited on and served others who arrived after we did. Food sat 20 minutes never did receive the food order so we got up and left. Never ever will we return! Service can make or break a business. read more

PATRONS BEWARE!!! First off my server had the personality of a ball point pen. She never asked how my food was and failed to inform me that I would be paying a higher price for food than was advertised on the menu. The "JUMBO COD" sandwich was anything but Jumbo. It wasn't beer battered as advertised, it was merely a few frozen soggy fish sticks jammed on a tiny burger bun. The beer was cold and the cheeseballs were ok. My husband, daughter and son-in-law had lunch at the Tavern yesterday. It was great.. I love Rubens and I always order one if on menu. Let me tell you it was the best I ever had. Service was great. Service was pretty slow, but considering how crowded it was, this is very much ok. What's not ok? $14 for a turkey club sandwich, and fries are extra? Thats a bit disappointing but not nearly as much as my dates fish tacos. Two little tiny previously frozen nuggets on each shell with a pinch of slaw to boot. Chewy overcooked miniscule delights? You bet they were! I really want to like this place because it's local and not a chain, but I really need a reason beyond its "a nice place". For now, the fish tacos at Taco Bell reign supreme. Stunning is the first word that comes to mind when I think of this place. Mark took a cute little hole on the side of the road and made it absolutely stunning. The bar is well Epoxied with amazing decor in it and the patios are comfortable and inviting. I went with an old go to of chicken tenders and fresh cut fries which came out within 9 minutes (yes I counted for the sake of reviews lol). It's in a perfect location to fit the atmosphere and I look forward to venturing over here more often. read more

Came here last night and was ignored the whole time. Bar was hardly busy and baretenders were on their phones the whole time. We asked for menu and then bartender never came back to take our order. I like the bar and restaurant itself. Sorta like upscale honey Tonk. When we walked in the music was unbelievably loud exceeded only by the people screaming to be heard above it. The drinks were watered down, the food was mediocre. Not worth the hour wait it took to arrive. Explain that how it took an hour for my incorrect order to arrive but only 10 minutes to replace it. Granted they were busy but that's no excuse. Isn't that the point of being in business? Maybe it was an off night but the place isn't worth taking the chance of catching them on a good night. read more
