    Chai latte

Tried their chai latte. It is very ginger and spice forward and quite sweet. Next time will see if they can reduce the sugar. The barista was friendly and personable, seems like she tries to recognize regulars. The cafe is cute inside with plenty of seating and some outdoor seating too. A nice place to relax, catch up or work/study.

Skog Haus is a welcome spot of warmth and friendliness in MLT. The staff make a point to know your name and you feel like a regular on your second visit. My go to is the De Skog and my husband's, the Eldr Mocha (which I always manage to sneak a sip of, so good!). Our drinks are consistent from visit to visit. The shop is warm and welcoming. There are both shared work spaces and solo places where you will almost always find folks tapping away on their laptops. Parking out front can be tight, but there is plenty of parking around back.

Good place to get coffee around Mountlake Terrace, I love the area and especially the shop itself! Very friendly service and nice place to dine in. The matcha was okay but I'm sure they are known for their coffee which looked good, I'll come back and give it another try.

Cozy coffeehouse! There is street and garage parking (behind the coffeehouse). There's interior and exterior seating. We arrived at 10:30am on a Tuesday and their pastry case was almost empty. Baristas were great, friendly and efficient. Eclectic seating options and lots of space. There's a small picnic table inside for kids, it's adorable! Would go back again; I really enjoyed my Americano.

The mocha I got was decent. They use a syrup brand I haven't seen in Cali. I would say if they changed their chocolate syrup to a Housemade chocolate ganache it would enhance the chocolate flavor in the mocha, making it more prominent with the espresso. Friendly staff, pretty spaced out to hangout.

New favorite coffee spot! My husband and I had driven past this spot last weekend and after looking at the menu online, thought their speciality items looked really good. So we came here this weekend to give it a try! I wanted the Kaffe Myntha (brewed coffee, homemade mint syrup and milk) but they dont have a decaf brew unfortunately, so the cashier recommended a mint latte which is made with decaf espresso. Best latte I've had in quite awhile! I got it with oat milk and loved it. On the pricier side, but I'd pay for it again. Met one of the owners, Heather, who made our latte and she was super sweet and makes great coffee! Inside had cute seating options including a longer, family style table and other options for smaller parties. Amble free parking in the area, street parking and garage.

I had an opportunity to visit Skög Haus in Mountlake Terrace (1/28/25). Their mobile cafe was in service since 2020, but since retired. Their brick and mortar opened in November 2024. It's located in an immense residential & business area east of I-5, next door to Zeeks Pizza, and proximate to the MLT light rail station. Again, another indie cafe with a vast modern, sleek interior and natural light. Seating can be had in a corner area, communal table, or along the banquette. Even the little ones can sit at a scaled down picnic bench. I had a well crafted 12oz mocha onsite. Menu showcases several innovative coffee beverages, beyond the standard espresso go tos. Their pastry case was pretty much wiped out with only a few items remaining at 12 noon. I did see some packaged shortbread by the register. Baked goods are supplied from Macrina Bakery & Cafe and The Cottage, Community Bakery. It was nice to hangout for about half an hour onsite. Folks were on their laptops, having coffee as takeout, or briefly pausing to savor a beverage while the little ones snacked on shortbread. Welcoming MLT neighborhood spot!

Hands down, these guys know customer service, this lovely coffee shop is spacious with plenty of tables without it getting crowded and we got lucky enough to nab a table. We were immediately greeted warmly and all our questions answered. They also have pastries from Community Bakery which is one of our favorites. We ordered the Eldr Mocha and a Latte and yes their prices are on the higher side, but if you want to chill and try something a little different then this is the place to be. The mocha was a lovely spicy concoction, I might have to do without the nutmeg on the top as it kept getting in my nose every time I sipped lol (or maybe a little less)

Friendly owners and great ambiance! We were excited to have stumbled upon this coffee shop while looking for a new coffee shop around the MLT area. Had no idea that before this location they were in a mobile truck! Their drinks were unique and delicious. Their coffee I believe is organic and their syrups are made in small batches. A lot of what they have are locally sourced which is amazing.

    Outside sitting, dog friendly.

Great service, delicious coffee and pastries. Easy parking and very nice ambiance. A great location near the Mountlake Terrace light rail station.

I don't mind their prices on mixed drinks because of the ingredients and the employee prep time that goes into it, but I feel a little taken advantaged of when drip coffee is almost $5 with tax. In long This is part of my new regular tour of Edmonds coffee spots since I'm down here a time or two a week these days. Ladro has lots of fans and it's easy to see why, even if the smaller mom-and-pop places get higher rates around here. Ladro deserves credit for doing everything right. This is an older strip mall, probably built around the time that phrase was coined. Wide variety of businesses, wonky shapes and angles in the parking lot. Inside, there's the big coffee bar on one side, and tables and chairs over there. They have some merch for sale, including plenty of choices among their own house-roasted beans. Lots of blends, and even a few interesting-looking single-origin bags, too. Not any cheaper than the big premium roasters charge. I'd have to try some of the beans before I could say if that seems justified, but I bet it might be. You can order ahead, but not only did I choose to order manually, I went inside and looked the poor kids in the eye. They all seemed to enjoy each others' company, and their nice work environment translates into a nice ambiance for relaxing with a cup. I ordered chai lattes to go, and they were boiling hot and tasted like they were from a tea bag (not the sugar-bomb concentrate that some places use). I also had a brown butter scone that was great even at room temp. They didn't get overly chatty making the drinks, but they were definitely friendly, and everything was ready quickly. Nice kid clocking off for the day even held the door for me as we went out, given that my hands were full. Honestly, if you didn't know this was a chain (albeit a small, local one), you'd think this place existed simply to caffeinate locals in the neighborhood. Everything about it has that nice neighborly, next-door vibe. They don't have anything quirky about them, really, and that huge pastry case is definitely not filled by on-site bakeries at every location. But it all still FEELS like a friendly spot down the street from home. 2 coffees and a scone were about $20 before tip. Could be better, could be worse. I'd definitely come back.

In long I'm in this neighborhood regularly these days, and this might be the best of the coffee spots I've tried so far. They're right at Five Corners, and they probably crank all morning. In recent days I've certainly stolen parking from them after they close, 'cause they share the parking with two of the best restaurants in Edmonds. They're much bigger than the garden sheds you see as coffee spots sometimes. Probably room for a TV and an easy chair in there for when it's slow. They have the usual lineup of coffees, some teas, and what might be a pretty good pastry list, though I wasn't eating today. The kid working today was super warm and friendly in a pleasantly relaxed way. My Americano was ready in no time. Cost a few pennies more for 2 shots than some place, but the coffee tasted a fair bit better. Pretty chocolatey for black coffee. She had me out the door and on in my way before ya know it. Much as I like constantly trying new places, I might have to come back here--even before I run out of places to try.

Fortunately, there was no traffic so it was a 20 min drive easily. However, a lot seemed to have changed from about a year ago? We got popcorn chicken which was $9 for a very tiny plate (like the medium size sampler food container you get at food tasting events) which is a joke of a portion, and the chicken was not even good quality - heavy on the batter. Compared to pictures a year ago, where the portions looked much much larger. They are so stingy on the amount of chicken, that I thought they were giving us a sample to try before they make a real batch lmaooooo. I tried the Kocochi milk tea with creme brulee, boba, jelly, etc. Sounds good on paper, inflation I get it, was expecting $7 but it was $8, plus tax, so it is actually not that competitive of a price anymore now that I think about it. I could get a very good quality boba drink for $7.50+tax elsewhere without all the fancy toppings, but with boba included. I was pretty disappointed with the quality. The boba is so overcooked that it is mushy, and the creme brulee was not thick enough that I have to use a spoon to even be able to get any of it out (instead of being able to drink it from the other side which is what it is supposed to be). I'd avoid this place unless this is a one off but I will need to be redeemed a better experience before recommending this place. There are better options in the area
