We passed Mount Baldy, the "living" sand dune that moves, at Indiana Dunes National Park and made it all the way down to a good view of the Century of Progress homes before making our way back. We also got to hear all about the ship, the Emita II, which is a historic ship from the 1950s, and about how it reached its current home. It was also very cute that Captain Jan had the kids come up and take turns at the wheel on the way back. There is a snack bar on the lower level of the boat, and there are restrooms on board. Free parking is available a little walk away - walk towards the Lighthouse Museum, as the dock is behind there. Definitely a great adventure!

EDIT: I've read the owner's response and would like to clarify a few points. The accident occurred on an empty street around 5:30 AM with no traffic, and I was the one who contacted the police. We resumed our trip after the officer arrived and the police report was completed, as the officer said that an insurance claim couldn't be filed if the driver left prior to completion. I can't say I noticed if the neighborhood was "sketchy" as the response claims, but I'm also not certain I see how it's related to the incident. While I've had several successful rides with this company in the past, I've consistently observed drivers using their phones directly in hand, not via Bluetooth. Regarding reimbursement, I had not been informed of any prior to reading this reply; the owner simply asked me to reach out, and when I called, I received no response. Extremely unprofessional. We put a deposit down and we're sent an email quote for our wedding as…read morewell as confirming via phone call with the owner. No contract was sent despite sending the deposit. A couple weeks later I called back to confirm they had our date down, since I had not received a contract- in which he ( Greg, the owner) confirmed and said he would have his office manager send over the contract right away per our request. We are now 2 weeks away from the event. I called last Friday to ask for a contract, before I would pay the additional amount owed. He finally sent pictures via text of a contract he made up for nearly double the price he had originally quoted (which also happened to be more than what any other company quoted us) for our event. When questioning him about the difference he was not only combative, but also extremely rude and unprofessional saying "clearly, you can't afford your event". Since he was not willing to at minimum give us our deposit back, We are now going to get our lawyer involved, as yes it is a small amount but is a small amount that we will have to pay in addition to another large amount to try to find transportation on a 2 week notice. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. I wish I would have read the reviews before calling.
