My 19-year-old granddaughter is visiting from out of town, and she was so impressed with everything: the beautiful presentation, the restaurant itself, and especially the incredible flavors. We arrived around 11:30 a.m. and were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves for a bit. Our waiter was wonderfully kind and attentive, checking on us throughout our meal without ever being intrusive. The wonton soup was delicious, with fresh, crisp vegetables that added the perfect crunch. The lunch special is an amazing value at $13.99. For just a $1 upcharge, you can substitute fried rice, and your meal includes an egg roll, your choice of soup, and your entrée. The portions were generous enough that we both had leftovers to take home for dinner. I ordered the Szechuan Beef, and it was absolutely outstanding. I was hoping this place was going to be our go to.... It was very promising from the elegant front door and inviting decor. The restrooms are very nice ..... but. We had the salt and pepper calamari for an appetizer which was excellent. Our server let us know we came in right after a huge rush.... So maybe... just maybe the reason we experienced a lower quality meal. My Phos noodles were over cooked and mushy, the meat was almost mush. The flavor of the soup was ... needful of, flavor. My wife had the honey walnut pineapple shrimp. Yikes, they were some tough shrimp. I tried a couple. The sauce was blah and nothing that left you looking for the next bite. This evening, I had dinner at Sky Fusion with my family. What was supposed to be a joyful occasion quickly turned into a very upsetting experience. I have been dining at Sky Fusion for several years and, while I have often noticed cleanliness concerns, I continued to support the restaurant because I generally enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, tonight's experience ensured that this will be my last visit. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken and was shocked to discover a large nail in my food. I immediately asked to speak with the manager. The manager explained that construction work was being done in the back of the restaurant and suggested that the nail had likely fallen into the food during preparation. When I asked how a nail could make its way into a customer's meal without anyone noticing, I was told that much of the food is frozen and that the nail must have somehow fallen in. Quite frankly, the explanation did not make sense and did little to address my concerns about food safety and quality control. Finding a construction nail in a meal is unacceptable under any circumstances. I am grateful that neither my daughter nor my elderly mother-in-law, who were dining with us, encountered this hazard. The situation could have resulted in a serious injury had someone accidentally bitten down on or swallowed the nail. Due to the severity of this incident, I will be reporting it to the local Health Inspection Department. I hope the restaurant takes immediate action to address its food safety practices so that no other customer experiences something similar. read more

We love this place and we will be back. We ordered the green onion pancakes as an appetizer and they were excellent for our main courses. We got their new Dino pho and sesame chicken. Also excellent. Portion sizes are pretty big so we ended up taking leftovers home. For dessert had a Keylime pie and it was pretty good. Our server was also excellent and very attentive. We actually left. The restaurant must have changed owners. They have all chicken dark meat on the lunch. You can add a dollar to change to white meat. That's after lunch prices went up from 9.95 to 15-17.95. All prices went up. What bothers me is hiding the lunch pricing with dark meat chicken. What else are they hiding? Really bummed. read more

First time eating here and very impressed by the food and ambiance. Based on the online menu the prices seem a little higher than our usual Chinese places, but overall we spent the same amount and got generous portions, delicious starters and entrees, and a truly lovely dining experience. The dining room is spacious and nicely decorated. Our server Brendan was attentive, helpful in explaining the extensive menu, and he made sure we enjoyed our visit. We began with fried potstickers and the pork belly bao and had sesame chicken and chicken lo mein for entrees, all delicious and with nice plate presentations. Sky Asian Fusion is not in our neighborhood but worth the trip and we look forward to returning. Highly recommend when you want the splurge dine-in experience without spending a lot of money. Our experience at Sky Asian Fusion was beyond unacceptable. My partner, daughter, and I were treated with complete disrespect by both our server, Brendan, and the manager, and the situation only got worse from there. We were seated without menus or a greeting, and it took nearly 10 minutes before Brendan came over, and the only reason why I know his name is because of the other reviews posted from last night. With us, he didn't introduce himself, was cold, arrogant, and clearly more focused on impressing another table than doing his actual job. He spent over 15 minutes catering to them, while our food sat in the window for at least 10 minutes getting cold. When we eventually pointed out the lack of service as he was still entertaining the other table, Brendan got upset that we called him out and slammed our cold food down on the table without saying a word of humility. Then when Brendan came back, he was defensive as we asked to speak to the manger about his poor service and cold food. He said, "You aren't the only guests in the restaurant," -- despite the fact that we were being blatantly ignored and our food was cold. The manager, dressed in sweats, came over with an equally rude attitude, using dismissive language and closed-off body language. Instead of offering any apology or solution, she doubled down on the disrespect. We were already shocked at how we'd been treated -- but the most unbelievable part happened as we were driving away. Brendan actually came outside, and for a brief moment I thought maybe he was coming to apologize. He had his arms up, but instead gave us a smug smile and two thumbs up, sarcastically saying, "Have a good night." When my partner understandably reacted and flipped him off, Brendan shouted back, "Yeah, f* you too, buddy."** That level of unprofessionalism is outrageous -- especially from someone representing a restaurant. Sky Asian Fusion clearly has no standards for customer service, accountability, or basic human decency. We will never return, and I would strongly advise others to take their business elsewhere. read more

This was our first time dining at this restaurant. It was busy on a Friday night, a good sign, but the wait for a table wasn't too long. The space is beautifully decorated, and service was excellent. I ordered the Hunan with dark meat chicken, no onion or garlic. The food was delicious. Veggies were fresh and cooked perfectly as was the chicken. The good here was incredibly fresh. We came for lunch. The portions were very generous and service was relatively quick. Our waiter was a sweet older gentleman. I ended up with leftovers of the Mongolian beef. The two other women with me also enjoyed their dishes. The place is very modern and tastefully decorated. Best Asian in the Area! From the moment I approached that great big beautiful heavy copper covered door, I knew that this place was going to be something different. The decor is all very nouveau, modern, and hip, with comfortable seating. It was lunchtime, I was alone and they were busy so they asked if I didn't mind sitting at the bar, so I did. The hostess Min was very charming, always nearby, answered a few questions and was also great conversation as there was not a bartender, as such. I ordered an Iced Tea and read over the menu, found the Lunch Specials and I ordered an old favorite: Szechuan Beef, Fried Rice with a Vegetable Spring Roll and Hot & Sour Soup for $12.50. The Soup was absolutely wonderful and I eat it with frequency so I know it and love it. The Spring Roll was tasty, crispy and not at all greasy. The entree and fried rice were outstanding. I have only ever had better Szechuan Beef once and that was at a world famous location near Washington, D.C. My server Edward did a really great job, too. He kept my Tea glass full and was always watching to see if I needed anything. I'll try it a few more times and order off of the full menu next time. I think this may be my new local go to spot! I ordered the vegetable lo mein, vegetable fried rice, edamame, vegetable egg rolls, and a side of chili honey sauce. Everything was very tasty. The temperature of the food stayed very warm on the commute home. They put it in great packaging & the portions are generous. I recommend ordering any of the dishes mentioned it's all cooked perfectly, the sauce and vegetable medley was perfectly paired. We got the short ribs and the teriyaki chicken both of which were two of the worst dishes we've ever received. Added broccoli to the teriyaki chicken and it was damn near Brown and seemed old or steamed for an eternity. Definitely did not seem fresh. I put in the order and it was ready in six minutes, so I feel like the food was probably old no way that anything can be prepared that fast. For the price we expected something better. After over a year of doing take away from this wonderful restaurant, we finally dined in and had a wonderful wonderful experience. We had an early dinner and pretty much had the dining room to ourselves. Service was on point and the chilled sealed water bottles were a nice touch. We previously ordered the salt and pepper calamari as takeout and even though we are only 5 minutes away it did not travel well in house it was fantastic. The calamari was cooked to perfection and the spicy sauce was a perfect accompaniment. Like the calamari, their eggplant with garlic sauce does not travel well. Similar to calamari, if you overcook them by a minute the dish is ruined. I was assured by our server that I would not be disappointed. He totally undersold this entree. We could have shared this bountiful and perfectly cooked dish. We did notice that their spicy dishes have a little more heat when dining in house. Want to add additional heat ask for their homemade chili paste. What a find! This is by far the most authentic Taiwanese food I've had in all of cedar park/Leander/Austin area I have been to. The inside decor is traditional with a modern twist and it's beautiful. The food is affordable and absolutely amazing. Every dish brings me back to My Taiwanese roots and the ingredients are so fresh you can taste it in the dishes and the flavors are on point. I recommend ordering a bunch of different entrees and eating them family Style. Sky Asian Fusion is the best Chinese food joint I've discovered in Cedar Park. The interior design is sharp and elegant, and the service is quite fast. Especially when you're placing an order to go. We've called in to-go orders countless times over the past few years, and our food is always ready to be picked up within 10 minutes. Sky's food is incredible. I've had quite a lot from their menu, and it never fails to elicit a "ohmygodthisissogood." I'll single out the seafood fried rice as my favorite dish. And be warned: Sky Asian's portions are HUGE, especially if ordering to go. The only thing preventing me from giving this the full five stars is the price. Yes, the food and service is great, but their menu is significantly more expensive than other similar places around town. It hasn't hindered or slowed down how often we order from Sky Asian. At all. Did not disappoint! Again, so much flavor, not too salty. The shrimp were so big and plentiful too. BEEF FRIED RICE: 10/10 Hubby is the fried rice guru and he approves! I never order fried rice because the meat is so small you can't taste anything but rice, but not here; big chunks of meat and came out perfect. What can I say except the food here is absolutely delicious! My husband and I really love the beef and broccoli which has a rich and flavorful sauce. I've never had beef and broccoli with so much flavor as this place. The portions are very generous. My husband is the one who picks up food here so I can't speak to the inside of the restaurant. We always get our food to go. We have never had to stand around waiting after our scheduled pick up time, so I would say the service is great too.
