Star ratings are not very descriptive of this mixed bag experience. Service was very fast, and while not unfriendly, was a little brusque making me feel like I should hurry too. Pot sticker dumplings came out burnt the first time, quickly replaced with apology. Unfortunately, not very flavorful. Then the entree, pan fried noodles, banging savory flavor. Beef, chicken, shrimp all cooked just right. Couldn't stop eating this dish. The noodles themselves were a strange texture, crispy outside, chewy inside. This was exactly what the menu promised. And I'm still not sure if I like it or if I'd rather just have a traditional soft or crunchy noodle. Any of this could be seen as good or bad. The sky is the limit with Sky Asian Fusion (I couldn't resist, don't hate me). Seriously, though, they are my top spot to get good Asian and Chinese food in Leander. Incredibly fast delivery, very high quality, and decent prices on even items like the Golden Ribeye. I'd definitely recommend trying that dish, or if you're feeling adventurous trying out the Spicy Wontons. They also have really amazing soup dumplings where it's an actual thin wrapper around a delicious pork and wonton soup. Sky is our go to for Asian food. Although I'm a strip center, it's very nice inside. Service is consistently good as is the good. The menu has so many good options, including vegetarian. Prices are reasonable especially since most meals are large enough for two servings. It's been a while (over 9 months) since I had ordered from here. Compared to what I gave them in the past, (4 stars) I was very disappointed this time. The prices have increased, (thanks to inflation) but the quality of the food seems to have decreased as well. The protein-to-veggie ratio was not what I had come to expect from them in the past. The Mongolian beef was about 10% beef to 90% veggies, and the sauce was not the 'clean eating' taste that it used to have. The orange chicken recipe has changed too and not for the better. The protein ratio for the port lo mein had also gone in the wrong direction. Very little pork to the amount of noodles, although the flavor of the lo mein was similar to what I had remembered. The honey walnut shrimp seemed to be the one dish that maintained a good flavor profile, although the portion size was much smaller than before. I used to be able to feed 3 of my kids with it and there was barely enough for 1.5 servings. It's going to be hard to go back... read more

After my recent visit to the West Coast and sampling lots of Chinese food, I got back to Texas and was craving good Chinese food. Sky Asian fusion is a little bit pricier than other Chinese food I've had in the Austin area, but certainly worth the price. I ordered dumplings, green onion "flatbread", General Tso's chicken, sesame chicken, beef lo mein noodles and Mapo tofu. Everything was very tasty and we thought we would never try Mapo tofu in Austin! Naturally, the tofu dish was a little bit spicy, but very well done and tasty. We think Sky Asian Fusion is the closest we have found in Texas to the Chinese cuisine of San Francisco! We look forward to returning and trying additional dishes! read more

First time ordering from here tonight and never coming again. Wonton soup The wontons are thic! And in all the wrong ways. It tasted a little old and overall flavor was gross. These should be very thin and should have delicious mixture of shrimp/pork or chicken inside. Instead they were overly clumped and twisted to look bigger but inside was just layers of dough and a speck of nasty meat. I could barely eat this soup and I've never had this issue before at other restaurants, it's my go-to soup normally. This dish here is very low quality and I strongly advise to skip it. Fried rice as a side Doesn't taste good, white rice is better here. Salt and pepper fish This is dish smothered in star anise spice and does not taste at all like what it should. I don't taste any salt at all, I've had this dish many times at all kinds of Asian restaurants since I was a little girl and I've never had it quite like this. This was absolutely disgusting. I only taste star anise and it's gross. Also the fish is soggy. I had to pour so much salt on this dish just to make it bearable to eat and get back to what it should be, which is salt and pepper fish. Mongolian beef The only bearable dish. The meat tasted better than my typical expectations. But it's missing somethings. It has no green onions, it doesn't have enough white onion slices and I'm not sure why they are using yellow bell peppers, those don't go with this dish and flavor is very different than what this dish would typically have. Overall I'm more disappointed than I've ever been and it made my iron stomach hurt very quickly. read more

So Sad. I loved this place and was glad to have great Chinese nearby, finally, but the quality has really tanked. The last two times I ordered, either my order was wrong or the food tasted bad. Today, the lomein tasted of nothing but ginger. We literally threw it out. The egg rolls weren't good, and the sweet and sour sauce looked and tasted completely different. I couldn't believe that Sky Asian Fusion has been up and running for a little bit now and I didn't know it!!!! Well you know it's got to be Covid, we are not eating out. Our grandson was visiting and really wanted some fried rice for dinner. So, all systems are GO and we indeed ordered takeout /delivery. Now, despite the fact that all the reviews were very good, I wasn't expecting the dining experience we received. I have to tell you this place just blew it out of the water. The food was absolutely exquisite. It must have been cooked And packaged and gotten to the delivery carrier ASAP. It was still hot when we opened it. I had ordered three servings of fried rice because the grand son wanted that for his main dish without any extra protein and I wasn't sure how to do that on the order form, so ordered it as a side. There were three little Chinese takeout boxes packed full of fried rice, so very easy to open (and grab some chopsticks from my stash) and get him started as he was "starving"! They were adorable as well! I love the little waxed takeout boxes- rarely see them anymore. Anyway g-son dug in and was making noises of delight. I also ordered a Chicken Egg Roll, 2 Banh Mi Sliders, a Hot& Sour Soup-all to be shared by anyone who wanted to try them. Then an entree of Fried Noodles which was One of the specialties of the house. The noodles are cooked, then fried, and placed in a delicious brown sauce, not too dark not too light and full of flavor. They are accompanied by a trio of proteins, beautifully sliced beef, large shrimp, and white meat chicken. I have to go on to describe this ....it was just an unbelievable container full of food. Carrots, baby corn, bok choy, colored sweet peppers. I had requested light on the onion so there was not a lot of it but enough to add the flavor. The shrimp was at least large possibly extra large size, no skimping here, the beef was sliced and was so tender. Just enough chew to ensure maximum Flavor, but I suspect they must have tenderized it somehow as it nearly melted in your mouth. For me chicken is usually chicken, I enjoy white and dark meat. However, I have to comment on this chicken, The slices were large enough not to be missed- it definitely was not an afterthought nor was it the majority of the proteins (being on the more cost-effective side I suspect). I have never in my life had such moist, succulent slices of white meat chicken. It literally did melt in your mouth. I wish I knew how they did it!!! Oh-I'm not done. One of our Banh-Mi was tofu and was a slab of what I suspect was fried tofu placed on a crisp Vietnamese style bun-It must have literally been buttered and placed under the broiler maybe? It was not soggy at all. The tofu was lightly spiced with salt and pepper and there were some pickled cucumbers on top. I had requested the Cilantro on the side as some of us like it and some of us do not. It came with Asian mayonnaise which was the perfect accompaniment to moisten it and make it a delicacy. It was definitely worth ordering and I would order it again. Next comes the Pork Belly Banh Mi Slider with nice big chunks of cucumber on top and in that same crispy Vietnamese roll-also sauced with that Asian mayonnaise. (all sauces were offered on the sides so nothing came soggy!) This was so delicious, it is definitely top contender of the night. I can't begin to tell you how delicious that pork belly was, oh my gosh! Cooked to perfection it was the best Banh Mi, I have ever had. Will be calling to find out if they have regular size Banh-Mi because I would definitely order the slider or a larger size without hesitation. When you place your order this is a must, don't miss out!!! The Hot and Sour Soup was also a bit unusual but then it was loaded with all the right veggies and mushrooms at just the right heat .....but it was also the perfect consistency. It actually had a broth base. I love hot and sour soup but 90% of the time the base is so much thicker than it needs to be and it spoils it for me. Again, this was near perfection. Last but not least was the chicken eggroll. We all had a bite of that and every bite was equally crispy, full of chicken and veggies as expected, light and not greasy at all-even after sitting a little bit!!! This new property in Leander is going to be packed once they are found out. I will be supportive until this Covid ends and then I will still have to order or go in at least weekly ...just to get a fix of some of the best Asian food you could ever have. Delivery may not be an option-but do yourself a favor and order takeout -because you won't regret it! Thanks for some of the best takeout I have ever eaten and I so look forward to our next order!!! Don't order anything fried. They don't know that if the fryer oil is not hot enough, the oil will saturate the food. Everything we ordered that was fried was this way. We complained but didn't get a resolution. The soups were bland and the crispy noodles were stale. The fried rice was decent. My wife had the sweet sour chicken. Inedible because of being greasy. The crab rangoon - greasy, and not eaten. The calimari was greasy - rejected it and was not charged. Disappointment all around. I had the sesame chicken and it was good. They didn't deep fry that. Or, egg rolls... Greasy. I took the uneaten fried chicken home for my dogs. I worked on one piece to remove the breading but the oil had penetrated through and the chicken itself was saturated. All of it went into the trash. There are too many decent asian places around. Even panda was better. Their fried stuff is actually crispy! Bottome line - you can do better. read more

Ate lunch here for the first time today. Very clean and well decorated interior. I ordered General Tso's Chicken and that meal came with egg roll and soup of choice. The food was delicious and with just the right amount of spice. Our waiter was courteous & drinks were re-filled without having to ask. We tried the Crab Rangoon and the Salt and Pepper Calamari for appetizers, and both were served hot and greasy. Our entrees of Seafood Delight and Szechuan fish were OK, but both dishes were also beyond our tolerance for greasy food. Having been recommended by friends, the visit was a disappointment. Ordered takeout for the first time today. If it existed, I would have given 4 and a half stars. I had a chicken egg roll, $1.99 for 1 egg roll. A little pricey for a single egg roll, but quite good. I had a cup of wonton soup, which had what looked like a hand made large wonton. My one small criticism was the broth was a little spicy, perhaps it is fresh ginger. But still good. We had Chicken Teriyaki that was very good. First time ever having chestnuts and pineapple chunks. Both were very creative twists. We also had pork fried rice. Also quite good. I wish they had combination fried rice available. But what they have was very good. Service time was good, and pricing is just a little above average. We will be back. Cool looking modern venue until you sit down and are hit with their overhead LED lights smacking you right in the corner of your eye. Asked both managers to help dim them and they just kept shuffling me to different tables and it was the same angle of attack at all. Can't imagine this hasn't been brought to their attention. I don't have sensitive eyes or anything either. It was so awkward and uncomfortable, like a spotlight shining into your eyeball. Could not get comfortable. Clearly a lighting layout inefficiency as there are shadows all throughout the restaurant with the direct spotlights beaming on the tables only. Noticed one of their male managers working was wearing slides (open toe flip flop shoes). Disgusting! No one should be walking around a restaurant like that! He worked both in the back and front. Absolutely disgusting and a health / safety hazard. No one should have to see someone's bare feet while in a restaurant. It's equally as gross as someone taking off their shoes on an airplane. Photo attached Food review: Wonton Soup (small) order - Only 2 wonton noodles. No pork strips, nothing inside. Just 2 wonton noodle dumplings with nothing inside. Pretty tasty but not worth the price. Honey Walnut Shrimp - Nice presentation. Peculiar mix. Dish overpowered by cold pineapples in a cold cream sauce, and way too many walnuts. Was sort of a turn off eating it with the shrimp hot and the sauce and pineapple chunks cold. Didn't flow right. The cream sauce seemed like an afterthought and didn't jive with the overall dish, at all. The shrimp did taste good however. Szechuan Beef - Spicy, tasty beef but so so vegetables. They seemed almost frozen. Didn't really eat many of the vegetables as they didn't taste good nor fresh. Steamed Rice and Brown Rice - perfectly cooked & tasty. Well done. Many restaurants overcook their rice. They did a nice job here. In summary this is a hip looking restaurant but they most certainly must fix their lighting situation, and never allow anyone on the clock to be walking around the restaurant in slides/flip flops. So disgusting. To me this restaurant is catered toward a certain kind of people from California. The type that think California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) is good pizza probably think this is top notch Chinese food. It's definitely more fusion than Chinese or Asian. Food has always been delicious. We order frequently for our family and my 6 year old loves their dumplings and potstickers. We frequently order crab Rangoon's, seszchuan fish, crab fried rice, general Tsos, and Mongolian beef, and seszchuan chicken. We have always ordered to go since we live close. No order has ever been messed up - nothing forgotten, missing, everything is always delicious! The best part is the customer service. Every time I've called their are incredibly nice. When I call to pick up the order and ask for curbside because I've got the kids with me, they are always accommodating and literally so damn nice. I've ordered places where they offer curbside but I get scoffed at and rude tones on the phone. That's what keeps me coming back. Serving great food and having amazing customer service. read more
