We went to the Big Lot brewery and they had several food trucks right outside. I tried the bulgogi with ramen egg. It also came with white rice. The bulgogi was just right, with a generous portion of rice, beef, and veggies. The egg was on the small side, but made a delicious addition. I previously managed events for a very large multi-family complex (read: apartment complex) and had the pleasure of working with The Rice is Right as one of our vendors for Food Truck Fridays and other such events over the past several years. As such, I also had the joy of being able to consume food from many food trucks during that time, and The Rice is Right was definitely one of my (and our residents!) favorite places to order food! My go-to order is the Korean Fried Cauliflower with Rice Cake Skewers, but there is not a single thing I tried here that I didn't enjoy. In addition to being utterly delicious, the food is freshly made, and promptly available for pick-up. I've finally got to try TRiR after they had run out of food my first visit. I was prepared to not like it but my Cedar Park friend vouched for it based on her previous visits. I was afraid it would be another repeat where they would close early because they ran out of food before they ran out of time. Fortunately, history didn't repeat itself so they were open. I was pretty hungry so I ended up getting the bulgogi as well as the mandu. I'm glad I ended up getting the extra side because I would have stayed hungry. The mandu was really good, but you know, it's fried dough filled with pork; even without the nostalgia it's still tasty. The bulgogi was billed as thinly sliced and it was. I've had many a picnic where it was stringy but the one here was sliced so thinly it didn't have that. However, because it was so thin it lacked some of the flavor from the marinade. Overall, I think that it was pretty good, if a little pricey. read more

Delicious food at a great price! I got the vegan egg rolls and the Korean fried chicken which came with a scoop of rice and coleslaw and was very satisfied. The chicken were cut into big chunks and had a sweet and slightly spicy sauce on them which paired perfectly with the coleslaw. The egg rolls were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. So I ordered from here while visiting The Good Spot at the request of a friend. It's one of several food trucks there, but this seemed to offer healthier options than the rest. I ordered the vegetable stir-fry and spring rolls. While waiting I managed to go w/ husband to order from a different food truck, go to the restroom, sit back down, get up and go with hubs to get his food and make it back to the table to sit for a few minutes before my food was finally ready. Basically, be ready to wait; I'll note I had to wait to order and pick up my food too. That's my only negative. The food was so good and the people working were pretty nice. I can not recommend trying the Rice is Right enough! Have you ever watched an anime and wanted to try a rice box with the little weiners cut into octopi? I tried both the Little Weiners and Ricecakes and the Korean Fried Chicken and both were scrumptious. They both came with great sided sauces that complimented the main flavors of the dishes pretty well (who knew mustard chili went so well with weiners?) The prices were pretty reasonable as well, and the food was ready incredibly quickly, so if you're starving for a fun snack or a full meal they're affordable and fast. read more

Boy did I hit the jackpot considering I didn't check reviews first! I eat Bulgogi pretty often and at some places, it can be dry, but it's moist here with the perfect amount of sauce. KOREAN CRISPY CHICKEN: 10/10 Delicious without tasting unhealthy. I don't know if there's Bonchon in Austin but this is a step up from it. Taste more authentic and fresh without too much sodium. The guy taking my order was very nice and helpful in making suggestions and he said the food would be out in 6 minutes, which I thought was very specific lol but he was right, my food was ready to go super fast. Visited The Good Lot on W New Hope in Cedar Park, Tx yesterday (8/8/21). It's a the new and hot food truck park and bar (beer, wine, cider, and craft sodas). The main building is a huge open space and contains the bar and plenty of seating. The glass garage doors were open so we caught the cool evening breeze. They also have seating under the oak trees, several corn hole games areas, and a large kids play area with a wooden teepee for climbing. Out of the 4 food trucks we both chose The Rice is Right. We ordered the crispy Korean chicken rice box and the cauliflower rice box. Both main items were fried perfectly and coated in a sweet and spicy Korean sauce. The box also comes with steamed white rice and a cabbage slaw. The boxes were more than enough food for both of us. Prices were also reasonable. The food was as good if not better than most brick and mortar Korean restaurants. The Rice is Right and The Good Lot are both on 'My Keepers List'. Can't wait for the next visit... read more

Solid but overpriced. The guys in the truck were really friendly. The day I visited, the truck was at Oscar Blues Brewery - a nice find where I didn't expect one right on Metric Boulevard. Both my friend and I did take some of our portions home for a second serving but I don't think i'd order those again just because of the price point. The korean fried chicken was the glazed, sweet type, a little too saucy for my personal taste, and the beef was yummy but basic. Typically hit up Oink cuz they have a killer burger but they were sold out. Kinda glad they were cuz it gave me the chance to try the chicken bowl here. It was awesome! The right amount of spice and flavor. Long overdue review! We head to Rentsch Brewery in Georgetown nearly every time this food truck is there. Our absolute favorite thing on the menu is the fried cauliflower bites and we often order it with a side of rice. Our three year old daughter even loves it and refers to it as "chicken". Speaking of which, their Korean boneless chicken is delicious, as is the beef bulgogi and potstickers. The small dishes are quite reasonably priced, which keeps us coming back. I was yelping Veggie food in the area and luckily came across this place. They're not fully vegan/vegetarian but they have amazing options and the staff was super friendly. We were so satisfied. The food truck is located near other food trucks but has an area of grass in front of it where you can basically picnic. There's also a brewery right next to it. We went on a Saturday evening so there was a lot of ppl out. I suggest bringing a blanket or something to sit on or lawn chairs a lot of ppl had those. There was also music. In this new COVID reality, eating outside of the home has changed! I've been involved in sourcing and scheduling food trucks to come to our neighborhood and one of our neighbors suggested The Rice is Right. From a business/scheduling side, Chef Sang has been so great to work with. He is clear and responsive in his communication, which makes my life a lot easier. They arrive on time, are courteous, and just have an overall professional vibe which I truly appreciate. Now on to the food. They have really simple but delicious offerings. Their boxes are on the smaller side, but the food is really fresh, not sitting around. They make it fast! My favorite is the General T'so's Veggie box. I also can seriously vouch for the fried cauliflower app and meal. But my all time favorite option is the coconut rice pudding. I always buy extras so I can enjoy days after they have gone. Their egg rolls are vegan, but you'll love them even if you aren't vegan. We tried the hot and sour soup, but my husband wasn't a fan since this is more of a Korean style than Chinese style. It has a more kimchi flavor which just wasn't his style. If you like kimchi, you'll probably like this soup though. They offer pretty much something for everyone, ominvores, gluten free, vegan, vegetarian...pretty much you name it. I think they even have options a picky kid would eat (probably). The food was done exactly on time and ready to go. Staff was pleasant and had masks on. Portions a little small in my opinion, prices are average-high but it comes with a decent amount of meat. Maybe I'm just used to other places loading the plate up with rice. Bulgogi beef was pretty good I really liked the cucumber, but the Korean Fried Chicken was the star.
