First, I should mention that I am 40 years old and have been going to the dentist since I was a child, so I have plenty of experience with various dental offices. The office looks worn down and outdated. The waiting area has the TV turned up very loud. The staff were unimpressive--no one smiled. X-rays were taken far more than usual. It felt like they wanted a photo of every tooth. When I finally saw the dentist, he didn't greet or acknowledge me. He kept talking to his assistant until he wanted to sell me additional services, which I politely told him I couldn't afford. He pressed me again, and I refused once more politely. Then, he just left without any bedside manner. The worst part of the visit was the teeth cleaning. I hadn't had a check-up in over a year due to work issues, but they didn't clean any plaque at all. Not a single bit. They immediately started applying toothpaste, and it splashed all over my chest and face. When they cleaned the toothpaste off with the water jet, the water splashed all over me too. The dental hygienist wiped my face once, but I had to grab more napkins to wipe it off again. It felt like a rollercoaster ride at the dentist. Honestly, my daily routine feels more thorough and clean than what I experienced there. It was so bad that as soon as I left the clinic, I called my previous dental office to tell them how wonderful they are.
