We were looking for a place to have dinner after a music event and decided on Sky High. Parking was a breeze and we took the elevator to the second floor (stairs are an option). There was a short (10-15 minute) wait before we were offered an indoor seat. It was windy out so we took it. We were seated close to the kitchen and I found the noise level a tad bothersome. Our server was attentive, helpful and informative. Orders came out in reasonable time. There were five in our party. Two had a beer, burger (not sure which one) and fries. They looked great and I didn't hear any complaints. My wife had a beer, the bier pretzels snd cheese which she said was amazing. As well, she had the Pepperoni Ribeye Philly and tots. In her opinion, the meat was a "little lacking" but that the tots were "good and crisp". Two of us opted for the Fried Shrimp Po' Boy. I paid extra for sweet potato fries and they were worth it. The sandwich was good, though I like mine wet and thought it could have used more tarter sauce, but that's just me. I also ordered a bowl of clam chowder and it was quite bland and overly thick. I mean it was like eating mac and cheese. Maybe thicker. Not my style nor to my liking. Overall a good experience. Deficits would include the clam chowder - just don't - and noise level (although it is a brew pub). If and when I find myself in Corvallis again, I wouldn't rule out Sky High Brewery and Pub. That said, I am scoring them a somewhat generous 4 stars. read more

This was my first time coming here and I must say, I am so glad I did! I came about an hour before close and I was worried it was too late; but the hostess was very kind and showed me to my seat. The building is absolutely gorgeous. It's worth visiting even if you don't plan to order food or drinks. I stopped by for a beer (and to admire the architecture). Was seated quickly by a friendly hostess. Like many restaurants these days, Sky High has an order-from-the-table QR code. Cool - easy to use and convenient, especially since I was on my own. What wasn't cool is that their order website required a lot more personal information than a typical restaurant. I wasn't prepared to give them all my info just to order a beer, so I went up to the bar to order. The bartender was helpful, but despite the fact that I was both ordering and paying for my beer at the bar, he needed to know the number of the table I was seated at. Strange - the hostess didn't mention that I'd need a secret code from my table to order from the bar. It's clearly a really popular hangout, so this might just be me. I didn't care for any of the beers that I tried - they seem to prefer fruity pales and IPAs. The bigger issue to me is that their order processing backend makes it hard just to be a customer. The care for customers has greatly diminished and the area has taken a bad fall in cleanliness since COVID. Appears the the quality of wanting to do business is lacking since Covid for this place. My time at Sky High was full of bad service and rude staff. I was on the second floor inside on Saturday June 5th around 6:30, served around 7 and in a larger party. I ordered a plain cheeseburger, pretty simple right? Well you'd think so, but instead I was handed a plain burger, no cheese, with literally all the toppings I DID NOT ask for. After I brought this to a younger lady (who was nice) she took it away. Then, a rude older, seemingly manager type lady came back with the same exact burger, but just with all the toppings dumped in the trash, and still no cheese. I asked about the cheese and she rudely replied "Well do you want us to make you a whole new burger, get you a slice of cheese, or what." I felt pressured by her assertiveness to choose the slice of cold cheese option. My meal was horrible and it was ruined. What if I had been allergic to something on the burger? This is for the Rooftop Bar. Sky High boasts what is unquestionably the best view in Corvallis, and the rooftop is a fantastic place to hang out for the afternoon with a beer. In the past, before the rooftop cart, we've had decent food. Some of the beers are decent, as well. However, since Covid the service and food have spiraled downhill. Some of the servers at the bar could clearly care less about helping to make it a pleasant afternoon for anyone, and this past Wednesday took the cake. They were pushy, mistook drink orders, and, when corrected, became downright rude with eye rolls and nasty comments. My wife spoke to others in line and virtually everyone she spoke with had a similar experience. I'm sure it's hot in there, and that the servers are probably making close to minimum wage, but I can promise that word spreads, and eventually the business will only serve out of town folks who don't know any better. We had planned an evening on the roof but left after a drink and a really lousy $18.99 hamburger. Owner please take note. read more

Hostess telling people wait time for an indoor spot varied from 30-45 minutes (???) and then to go to the roof to get your drinks for street side seating (??) and there are at least 7 tables empty, 3 three of them need to be bussed. Bartender told me they didn't want to overwhelm the kitchen but the tables were all spoken for...say whatttt?? Little did we know, you're going to the outdoor server. She was very nice, but then, no one ever comes back to check if you're doing OK. I don't need to be watched, however, it would have been nice if someone would have just come to check-in on us. The place itself wasn't busy, otherwise I wouldn't expect it. Came to Corvallis to see our son for family weekend. He took us here to eat and it was really good. We started with the cheese curds and they were great. The dipping sauce was very good. Like a tomato sauce, but tasty. My wife and son had the standard burger, and they really enjoyed them. I had the Extendo-burger with Gorgonzola. Very good! The cheese want too overpowering and it was cooked perfectly - very juicy!!! Also had a side salad which was good too. Very fresh. Excellent spot in downtown Corvallis! They also allow minors, which makes it perfect for family college visit weekends. The rooftop terrace has cornhole, open seating, heaters, and lots of room to hang out. The outdoor areas are counter service. But, they have servers in the main dining area. The burgers are fantastic, and even the house made veggie patty is tasty. Lots of variety on the menu, including vegan and gluten free options, which are delicious! The tap is comprehensive, with house and guest options, including 2Towns Ciders. We consider this a must-visit on our trips to visit the kiddo at Oregon State! read more

We came as a group of 5 on a Monday night around 7 pm - we easily got a spot at one of the picnic tables on the roof, without a reservation, under a heat lamp. This kind of thing doesn't just happen in SF, so I was pretty pleased. :-) The service was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive, and didn't over-impose herself while still making great recommendations on drinks. The drinks themselves were pretty solid. They've got local ciders on tap (I tried the Peach, and though it didn't taste at all like peach to me, it was still decent), as well as their own beers. The Bavarian Hef is definitely the one to grab if you're not a hop-head, and at $4.50 a pint it's not a very big risk to try a new beer or two. Drinks, outdoor seating, service, good times. Then there's the food. :-/ I'm a Corvallis noob, and at this point in my trip realized I didn't really fit in here, so I decided to ask what the best thing to order was. Fish tacos, you say? That seems unlikely for Oregon, but sure - fish tacos. These were the wettest (soaking wet), blandest tacos I've ever seen in my life. They were made with 6-inch bagged corn tortillas, 2 per taco, so your carb count is there. The "rock cod" (which I've always been skeptical of on menus) had crumbled apart into a sad, dry pile of grainy fish meal. The salsa was essentially chopped tomato, and I don't remember much else. Please don't order these - they were truly embarrassingly wet and I ended up eating the filling with a fork and calling it a day. The Chips & Guac app comes with a large bowl of seasoned (yet still bland) chips, and a thimble's-worth of guac. Note to self: No more Mexican food in Corvallis, jesus! I'd come along for beers again, but I wouldn't stake this place out for a dinner date. Sorry! The ambience and vibe, though, was truly fantastic. We ate on the rooftop. We went with two other people who ordered separately. We got our food 45 minutes after they got theirs, and by the time we even had an opportunity to eat they had long finished their food. Additionally, people who arrived long after us were being served food. I can't believe that I tipped here let alone bought foor for the prices listed. The food ranges from disgusting to mid, you'd get better food at one of the dining halls at OSU. The cheese on the nachos is revolting and made my partner nearly throw up. The burger is mid, and with lays chips on the side it's only worth half of what it's listed for. Waste of money, if I had to do it again I'd have just gotten fast food and hiked marys peak for 1/4 the cost. Went here for a quick burger and beer. The food was pretty good, a little overpriced but very filling. They use grass fed antibiotic beef which was really good. I was served by Lydia who was very informative about the menu and the beers brewed in house which really catered to the experience. I love Sky High for the views, atmosphere and food/drinks and as a long time patron I am disappointed with the ordering system that does not allow you to talk to a knowledgeable and friendly server anymore but instead forces you to interact only with my phone to order. Also, you have to grab your own waters and condiments now. It's even more problematic if you have a large group to place orders for if not everyone has phones, ie kids. Bringing back servers, in my opinion, would make this place five star again. read more
