Looked like a fine place for a recent High School reunion gathering...NOT SO! Management here IS all about "the rules"...whether they make sense of not. I Brought music to play upstairs as we were the only ones up there...It had played from one small speaker for over an hour...when the Puckered Sphincter patrol...ie: Management got in my face about my music, ordered that I turn it off, then told me to leave...I refused so Management called the Corvallis Police on me and had me escorted out by 3 of Corvallis' Finest...for the Cardinal Sin of speaking my mind. I Was not Drunk or Belligerent...Just guilty of calling Bullshit when I see it. I asked if someone had complained..NO Complaints. Just Bullshit....All my fellow Class mates followed me and the cops out...We all Went to Murphy's Tavern and to the Peacock Lounge where they WELCOMED Our Business and didn't call the Cops on us. I will definitely come back! From being greeted to paying my check, I felt very happy with the customer service. The menu was expansive and seemed to have everything I wanted and more. The burger looked wonderful, my only complain was it was a bit too greasy so I ended up tossing the bottom bun. Their tots were hands down the best I've had in a long time!!! Sky high has gone the extra mile in adding qr code at your table to look at menu on your device. as well as at the order counter. the view is great and we got a little sunset color. it did cool off so I was glad to have a long sleeve on. they have heaters but since everything is spaced so much you can't enjoy unless you are directly by one. so dress warm during cool nights. I had the beef sandwich, and it had just enough siracha kick to it that I like. pizzas are a bit to thin for our liking. but it was still good. would I visit again? YES. read more

This place is fantastic! But in all fairness... I might say that for any establishment that allows me to eat 4 stories up and on their rooftop. Even better if I can get dinner in a treetop. But since we are in fact talking about Sky High Brewery, and not a treetop... here we go to the pertinent bits. I liked everything about this experience... the brewery is surrounded by cool streetside shops/bars/cafes. So while I was wandering the nearby cycle & outdoor gear stores, I found my way upon this establishment. I first though I was walking into (due to the proximity & historic building situation) an antique shop. But as soon as I realized what was up, it was four thumbs up from that point on. I'm also a sucker for elevator rides... only made better when the walls of said elevator are made of glass. So of course walking in and seeing the elevator meant that I had to take it up to the dining floor (just below the rooftop). I then took it back down so that I could take two trips in it and then walked the stairs back up. I'm weird. I know it. So now that I've reached the dining/bar area, I'm yet again pleased with the build of the area, as well as the service. I was quickly seated out on a patio overlooking the park. The only thing I found disagreeable to this point--was that you are only allowed to eat your meals/order from the full menu here at this floor level (second floor). They do not offer the same menus at the rooftop. So I ordered my food, ate it, and then strolled to the rooftop.... where I ordered more food (just to see what the "bar menu" is like). It was a pretty decent wrap. Such a bummer you cannot eat dinner on the rooftop. But then after I considered it.... there'd probably never be an empty seat at the top if we weren't limited in such a way. I'd have bypassed the entire second floor if I could've. The rooftop was a big hit! the day was perfect and sunny. People were playing corn hole. Snacks and drinks were flowing. The views in all directions were fantastic. This would be a wonderful place to take in a summer evening... especially in some of them big comfy chairs they have up there. All in all... this place was a smash with me. Another fun location on a sunny day. Can be very busy at times so definitely don't go there in a rush. And if you get bored you can get some steps in as you traverse 4 flights of stairs to the restaurant and rooftop bar. Have no fear there is an elevator. My suggestion throw your name on the waiting list and make your way up to the roof top to the bar for a drinki-poo and a round or two of cornhole. We stopped in here after watching an OSU game based off a friends recommendation. Our impression was that the beer and drinks were okay and the food was mediocre. I also came to find out that she recommended it just for drinks because they were cheap - which is a great recommendation, they are! Their drinks are good but there isn't anything to write home about. I do like that they have sangria but it wasn't that good unfortunately :(. It tasted like just a fruity drink that they just whipped together. The food was okay, we had a few of their sandwiches and chowder. I was really disappointed in the philly cheesesteak - I was told that it used to be a special that guests loved so much they put it on the real menu so I gave it a shot... It was okay, really just 1 big flavor of salty and oily. The mushrooms were the best part. The absolutely best thing we ate there was just a small cup of clam chowder that came with my sandwich - it was AMAZING! I highly recommend it. Our server was really nice but he was really the most pleasant person we encountered. Everyone else was polite but didn't seem like they wanted to be there or were annoyed when I said "yes" to "Do you want au jus?." My husband and I stopped here for lunch from out of town. We both had the Extend-O burger with a side salad with basil vinaigrette. Everything was delicious. The dressing was so tasty that the envy that I initially felt of those who got fries vanished. The flavors of the burger were super. I noted that although there was a lot on the burger, I could still taste the beef and the beef was awesome. If we are ever in town again, we'll be back. read more

Went here on Solar Eclipse weekend for a nice dinner with a friend of mine. As you can imagine, it was pretty busy here. Interesting place going up a big flight of stairs, yes there's an elevator, but it just went up when I got there! I think there's two or three floors which includes the rooftop area. Nice view from the top, but I think it would be a bit hot in the late afternoon. Anyway, the meal was pretty good and very filling. We had a couple of beverages as well and were satisfied. A bit of a wait to get a table, but given the crowds in town, it really wasn't unreasonable at all and the server was really nice. read more

Sky High Brewing is a nice brewpub in downtown Corvallis. I have visited once for lunch and twice for dinner. The menu at Sky High offers something for everybody; I really enjoyed the Pepperoni Philly Cheese on my most recent visit. The staff is very friendly and service prompt. I'm partial to the Shiloh IPA out of all of the beer selections. Sky High is even better to visit during warm weather if you can make it up to the roof! read more

Passion fruit long island iced tea!? Sign me up!!! First impression of this place is AMAZING. Walking up you can see all of the beer making equipment. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with an eclectic hodgepodge of photographs and decorations. We came right after OSU won the civil war! (go beavs!) We only waited five minutes for a table, HUGE bonus since every other restaurant in town seemed to have hour long waits. We were too hungry so we came here on a whim after my brother, an OSU student, mentioned it. I needed a drink after being out in the cold for so long and my eyes were instantly drawn to the Elevation, a cocktail on the menu. As soon as I saw the words "passion fruit" I was sold. The waitress described the drink as a take on a long island. It had a nice kick with a sweet finish. My Hawaiian taste buds were thrilled with the sweet lilikoi flavor. It was a delicious treat, and something I never even heard of before! When the food came I thought I was in heaven. I ordered the spicy guacamole burger. It was perfect; OOZING with juices and toppings and guac. That's JUST how I like my burgers. It was the perfect amount of spicy and so moist. I asked for a side of ranch and mayonnaise with it. I swear everything there seemed homemade. The ranch was AMAZING. Smooth and buttermilky. Even the mayo tasted delicious. It was one of those restaurants where everything was just perfectly fresh. I devoured my burger and fries and dipped them in the ketchup (which I'm sure is also homemade). It was truly delectable. Everyone at our table was completely satisfied with the food and beverage. Our waitress was also fantastic! For the life of me I can't remember her name, but she mentioned that she went to western oregon university and she had short hair. I think her name started with a T or an S. Anyway, she was very knowledgable about the menu and recommended the guacamole burger to me. It was perfect as I was FAMISHED after a day of cheering on my brother in the civil war. She was very friendly and attentive. Our water glasses were never empty (a big plus for me) and she made our visit to sky high perfect. Everything about this place was absolutely delicious and fun! As someone who spent plenty of time at Sky High over the years, I think the two best things it has going for it are the rooftop, which is almost second to none in the valley, and the happy hour, which is the most generous in town food-wise. The beer was always just okay to me and the food was good, though overpriced outside of happy hour. If you need a place to hang outdoors and catch up with friends, I'd say grab a drink or two on the roof, but I would usually make other plans for dinner. read more

We stopped in for lunch after we were refered here by a college student. We had 8 of us and it was around lunch time on a Friday. When we arrived the hostess said it would be about 15 minutes. That 15 minutes turned into 40. We weren't off to a good start. Us adults wondered around to the bar and ordered a couple of beers as we waited. At the 30 minute mark and very hungry we ordered some appetizers from the bartender. When we told him they were finally seating us he wasn't happy to transfer the bill over to the restaurant. I was shocked to see half the restaurant empty! see the photo. After our order has been taken the waitress asked one person at our table if they would like another beer while four of us sat with empty beer glasses. She spun around and was off without asking anyone else? How strange. We flagged down a waiter from a different section who soon remedied the situation. The food? blah The Pizza was gross. Sky High's tap room on the first level is great for some brews and light eats, but if you go upstairs to the restaurant, you can see the river or get a beautiful view of downtown Corvallis. When it's busy, service can be a bit iffy, but if you can get into Sky High before the rush, you won't be disappointed. Loved visiting this bar! We must have come at an odd time becuase it was pretty empty (granted school is not in session at OSU yet) but the service was awesome at the bar. I'm not into craft beers as much as the BF but he enjoyed the ones he tried and I had some yummy little mixed drinks. Do yourself a favor and order the sweet potato fries to munch on! I love all things potato related and those fries were (NO JOKE) some of the best I've had. Really come here for the experience - great views of Corvallis and fun atmosphere.
