We had our Jayco motor home broken radio replaced at Sky river RV in Paso Robles. Brian, in service, did exactly what he promised to do at a lower cost. Also, Stan helped locate a less expensive radio. Brian kept us updated via phone and texts which reassured us that the quick turnaround he promised would actually happen. We had purchased a 5th wheel last year in June. Yes it was used but barely. I believe the people before had bought it and used it once or twice and then left it. My issue is that we were promised something and didn't recieve anything close to what we were promised. We put this in our backyard and hooked it up to water, electric and sewer. That was always the plan. When we were paying for it, we were told to get the extended warranty because if anything were to break, someone can come and fix it. We thought that was a good idea. A few months in, our water pressure drops. I tried all I could to figure out the problem, but couldn't. So it takes forever to do the dishes and was my hands, luckily the shower isn't horrible. But whenever I called to see if someone can come out, I was told they would get back to me and they never did. Or that someone can't come out to fix it or even look at it. Today our AC unit was blowing hot air and then later the fan wouldn't blow. Again I called to see if something could be done and they said they couldn't help at all. So now we are having to wait till tomorrow, because they waited too long to get back to me and I had to call before they closed, to try and cancel pur extended warranty payment. Wish we would have known that no one would be able to ever come out. We knew driving it was never going to be an option so we wouldn't have gotten it if that was what needed to happen. Also both of our fans in the ceiling to the vents put don't work and it was delivered like that. But that's also not getting fixed. They were friendly, but there were too many issues for something that should have had all this checked out before sending it off and at least be able to guide me somewhere to where I can get help read more

What a horrible experience we just had. Definitely NOT 5 star. Communication is awful. You don't sell used hoses due to COVID, but you can sell me a 5th wheel and send it off with my delivery person with both black tanks with the prior owners human waste still in it? There was also black water waste in our grey water tank (what a nice surprise) and a connector hose under the sink that sent water spraying out under the sink. You'll be getting a letter soon with more details. Just wanted to do my part to alert potential buyers not to trust that any work has been done, double check absolutely everything before you take ownership. Oh, and when they called me because I asked that they send someone to verify that they were properly (and completely) emptied, and to clean and sanitize them, they suggested I arrange it and pay for it, & that they'd reimburse me. Also asked how I wanted to settle the 280 dollar bill I already paid but that the service department didn't get because "that has to be paid separately" after I already had the cashiers check issued for the full amount due. Absolutely untrustworthy. Ruined trip cut short and a 5th wheel that stinks of sulphur and human waste. For what it's worth, Jeremy was a kind, knowledgeable salesman who seems to be working with a group of people that no longer care. read more

Brian Tingey Service Advisor went above and beyond his call of duty addressing and fixing the issue himself within a timely matter. Fair disclosure, this is a lengthy review. The bottom line is these guys rock. I've bought two trailers from them, and I'll buy my third from them too. If you want to know why, read on... First, huge shout out to Richard Ash, Brian Jansen, Billy, and the finance guy (so sorry I don't recall your name!). Past reviewers mentioned "zero pressure" and that has been our experience as well. Twice. Even with the finance guy! Not a bit of pressure. We just took delivery of our second trailer and these guys really were terrific to work with, particularly Richard. He patiently kept in touch with us over several weeks as we narrowed down what we wanted. We had a fabulous experience buying our first trailer 2 years ago. Randy helped us pick out that trailer, never letting on that he was the new owner. In fact, if his team hadn't told us I'm sure we would not have ever known. He doesn't strut around acting like he owns the place. He was quiet, humble, and patient. Both times we purchased he and his team were genuinely curious about our needs and wants in a trailer, and made solid recommendations based on what we shared. They steered us toward options that made sense for us, explored options we hadn't considered, and gave us honest feedback about things we thought we wanted but probably weren't a good idea. We did have to have some warranty work done on the slide on that first trailer. We were on an extended trip when the slide became jammed and wouldn't open. We called Sky River's service dept and a tech spent quite a bit of time with is on the phone talking through the problem and trying to help us resolve it. That's tough to do when we're 700 miles away, and he was as persistent as one could hope for in trying to help. They set an appointment for us to have it serviced when we returned, and although there was a back log at the time and it was several weeks out, the service was completely quickly once we got it in and we never had a problem after that. Fast forward to this year and we started looking to upgrade to a larger trailer. After shopping many dealerships throughout northern and central CA, including Sky River, it was clear that none of them were as customer focused as what we've experienced as Sky River. If you shop for a new trailer long enough, you're going to run into people who seem like they couldn't cut it selling used cars and RVs are their plan B. We've met some of them. But not at Sky River. Coincidentally, we happened to run into Randy at the Pismo location while looking for our second trailer. Literally, we just saw him talking to someone on his staff and my wife said hi as we walked by. Not only did he remember us from 2 years ago, but he caught up with us to walk around and show us some options. One of those options was a Keystone Cougar that we just brought home. I hope it will be much longer than 2 years until I replace that trailer. But when I do, I'll be looking for Richard and the rest of Randy's team. read more

We have a Dynamax and have taken it to Sky River 5 times concerning a leak in the shower, a total of at least 12 days. They never did fix it, but in the process they spilled silicone on the shower floor and doors. Also on the floor and all down the bathroom door. We spent over $2500. in hotel bills because we couldn't get home. Also they messed up a sliding door and the bathroom door now wants to stay wide open. We were staying where woodpeckers were and they stuffed acorns in the bedroom slide, Sky River never got them all out so now we can't open that slide. We took the shower problem to another RV dealer and they found the leaks in less than 6 hours. very disappointed! read more

Dropped it off at requested time, even called me a week prior to make sure i was going to make my appt time, and didn't hear anything until I called for an update the following day. I drove from San Diego to Paso Robles to check out a Tiger Moth trailer by Taxa. I can echo other reviews with regard to their sales staff; very professional, pleasant and no pressure. The sales person whom I dealt with the most; Carl Maxburg, was outstanding. As things turned out, I'm going to wait. My husband, son, and I visited Sky River RV shopping for a trailer for my son. My son was the one buying, but my husband and I are also looking to upgrade out trailer in the near future. Mark was our sales person helping us look out on the lot. Another salesman told me Mark was just 4 days on the job. I could tell he was nervous, but he was friendly and knowledgeable. After we had narrowed down which trailer we were interested in, we met with another salesman. I don't remember his name, but he was obviously someone who had worked there for a while. (he was bald) My son filled out a credit application. I noticed a flyer on the wall in their office that stated that they wanted their salesman working towards getting 5 star reviews. After the application was filled out, he brought out an offer to my son. While we were looking it over, Mark was talking with us asking what we might be concerned with. I saw the other salesman (the bald man) try shushing Mark on 2 different occasions. My gut feeling was not liking this. After discussing the offer, my son thought it was more than what he wanted to spend. My son told the bald salesman this. He told my son that he had already committed to the terms! What...committed?? He had committed to nothing! He also told him not to leave. He did come back with another offer, but he had only made the term of the loan longer. We left with a really bad taste in our mouth for Sky River. Let me be clear that our problem was not with the salesman Mark, but with the bald man. If the bald man had left Mark alone to do the negotiating, it is more than likely that my son would have purchased the trailer. Not only did they lose the sale of the trailer with my son, but also lost the sale with my husband and me. After our visit with Sky River, we went to Trailer Hitch RV. Needless to say, my son bought a trailer from Trailer Hitch and we will take our future business to Trailer Hitch. No 5 star review for you Sky River! read more

Melody and Austin , worked to resolve the issues in our 2019 Newmar All Electric Mountain Aire. Sky River has serviced others units we have owned through the years with mixed satisfaction. However,this time our experience was better. Both Melody and Austin kept us informed about the progress. They worked with Newmar and our extended warranty to cover most of our issues. I would remind any RV owner taking their unit to any service center, that they MUST help the service staff understand the unique features of their rig. Sky River does not sell some Newmar models they service and and may not be familiar with operating some features. I stayed in touch with them regularly to remind them about the auto generator feature to keep our batteries charged and proper operation of the slides. We had previous bad experiences causing our batteries to completely drain requiring replacement and a VERY expensive repair of the full wall slide that became out of sync because of improper operation. I am currently comfortable giving a positive review. Melody worked hard to meet our timeline which was greatly appreciated. I was very impressed that she usually answered her phone or returned a call quickly. She provided good customer service. Austin was a pleasure to work with as well. read more

Every interaction and experience with the service department at Sky River deserves 5 stars. Let me break it down: 1. Honest: We have a small travel trailer. In comparison to the RVs on the lot, we look like a back up generator. This is not completely their wheel house, and they were honest about it and said they would see what they could do. We appreciated that they were willing to contact the manufacturer if needed rather than assuming they can do it all. 2. Communication: not just to us, the customer, but also within (the service manager, technicians, and parts department). Everyone was on the same page without a moment of hesitation. We had interactions minutes apart (on the phone and in person) with different team members and they were already informed! 3. Thoughtful: the entire team was helpful and supportive. We had an emergency issue and they made their best efforts to get us taken care of both safely and quickly. It took 2 days from time of drop off to pick up, including parts to be delivered to get our trailer back to us. I can only imagine the pressure they experience with people's travel plans ruined or homes unavailable to them. They seriously do their best to help! So though these things are frustrating, it should not be taken out on them! 4. Professional: John, Austin, Christine, the techs, and parts department knew their stuff! These were the people we interacted with! 5. Clean Shop: all parts to our trailer were carefully placed to avoid damage, grouped together to ensure no items were lost or misplaced, and tools specific for our trailer were returned to us with clear communication and confirmation. When you looked at the shop or other RVs, it was clear they took pride in their cleanliness and care for other people's property. We are glad to know that we have a reliable service department that can help us if needed in the future. read more

I want to acknowledge the entire staff at Sky River RV. I went to the Paso Robles location to purchase a new travel trailer. However, after setting up my weight distribution hitch on my 1500 Ram and hooking up the trailer to my vehicle, we all realized the trailer I was purchasing was to large (heavy) for my truck. It would of been too much for my half ton truck. After much consideration, I had to walk away from the deal because of the excess weight of my trailer. I purchased a Travel Trailer from from this dealership on 09/14/2022 and had it delivered. Upon delivery we found a few minor repairs that needed to be done. One was that the door lock did not work, none of the locks worked, wrong key, made a trip into the dealership and talked with service dept. told them the lock didn't work their advice was to bring it in and they would do an evaluation and see what's wrong. I replied that I had over forty years of experience as a carpenter and I know the lock is not working, the response was well I guess it isn't working then but we need to bring it in so we can look at it. I asked about a mobile technician coming to fix it and was told we don't do that, but if you bring it in we will look at it. This seems ridiculous to pull a travel trailer 60 miles just to fix the lock on the door. I called back a week later and was told to talk with Robin the service manager, no answer, left a message on her phone to call me back so I could arrange a service call for the items to be fixed. No response. Called back yesterday 10/27/2022 talked with the service dept. explained it all to them again, they said we don't do that, no mobile repair because they are short of technicians so they don't do mobile work. I explained to them I was told that with my extended warranty I paid for, it would cover the cost of fixing these issues. When asked who told me that I told them the salesman did, I was told they would talk with him and give me a call back. No response. None of my issues are resolved as of today I have a 90 day warranty where all of these issues would be fixed, however if no-one will talk with me about setting up a repair unit and I cannot do them myself without voiding the warranty. I am merely trying to get these small issues fixed as they should have been. I would stay away from this business if you are looking for a kind friendly and helpful RV dealership, The only help you will get is taking your money. read more

I want to send a huge Thank You to Christine in the Service Dept. We have a 2019 Entegra Class C rv. We wanted to switch out our couch out for recliners. We did not purchase our rv at Sky River only bc they did not sell the Entegra, but we were treated as though we were one of their valued buyers. Christine spent at least an hour with us going over our options, doing a lot of measuring in our rv and the recliners that were on display in their store that we wanted to purchase. It was doable, but not an easy job. We ended up buying the recliners from Sky River and having them installed by Devon at Nowhere Bound in Templeton. Christine recommended Devon as he does van conversions, solar and more, and she knew that he did quality work from others that used Devon and were thrilled with his work.
