Rear end and gate damage
Anthony M.

I experienced a stall while driving home in rush-hour traffic on 6/19/17. I managed to safely get the car over to the right shoulder before losing all power and reached out to AAA for assistance. AAA is contracted with this company for the tow service. The initial service was good. It was a warm day and the driver had me wait in the air-conditioned cab while he worked to get my vehicle onto the flatbed. He even dropped me off at home (on the way to the dealership where my car was to be delivered). This is where the nightmare started. I got a call from the driver alerting me to the fact that my car was damaged on delivery when it rolled uncontrolled off the ramp into the dealership gate (the car was delivered after closing). I was provided a picture of the damage to my car and the gate and promised that they would take care of the damage. I assumed that this would simply be handled through their insurance and waited for them to provide this info over the period while the mechanical issue was resolved. I instead received a request to bring my car to their yard after it was repaired to have them see if they could handle the repairs directly. This struck me as odd (and shady) so I instead initiated a claim through my own insurance company. The damage was repaired via this path but Sky has yet to pay my insurance company even where acknowledging fault for the damage. I have attempted to have this issue resolved via direct calls and even enlisted AAA for help. Sky says that they provided the insurance information to AAA while telling my insurer that they are "self insured". This issue has escalated through at least 3 of my carriers departments (including legal) sine the incident and the costs remain unpaid after more than a year. I've been promised in every direct call (at least 6 so far) to have a "general manager" contact me that never does and the latest update from my insurance company tells me that this claim is currently in collections. All the while I'm still out of the $500 deductible. If all goes well with the pickup and delivery you'll probably be happy with their service. If anything goes wrong BEWARE!!!! Look carefully through these reviews and you'll notice the trend.

Wow. After having another tow company not show up, my insurance company made another call and got me this amazing service! Mike was very friendly, quick, and helpful. Entertained my son with a couple awesome stories. I'm beyond satisfied with the service I received from Sky towing and I hope that my insurance company contracts primarily from them in the future. All things happen for the best. And we were blessed to get an amazing service. If I ever need tow service for anything in the future, this will be the first place I call! We even got a quick ride home which was a couple minutes from the shop my car was dropped off at. Beyond awesome. In addition the truck was so clean and fresh. I need to find out what kind of air freshener he was using :) it was delightful.

People who serve the publici n a country need to be able to speak the language(s) that are spoken/ understood in that country!! This guy from Sky Towing did not know his ass from a hole in the ground; or maybe he did, but he sure couldn't communicate to me what he was going to do OR understand that I wanted him to stop what he was doing if he couldn't explain!!! And this idiot had the nerve to tell AAA that he didn't want to help ME when I was the one who asked AAA to assign me someone else!!! Talk about a language barrier...he said, "I didn't break it." WTF? I called AAA because it was broken, why in God's name would I say you broke it!?!?!?!?!?!?

Well nobody expects to break down on the 15 South between gopher Canyon Road and Deer Springs Road right? It's like a hundred and three degrees outside with cars whizzing by and AAA gives me an estimate of 45 minutes. Well kris to the rescue. He was there very quickly and got my car hooked up and we were on our way home in no time. friendly, polite and helpful, had a great conversation about musical engineering, schools, his future degree....great employee. Thank you for coming to my rescue..kb

Sky towing is always there to get my food truck out of trouble. I've used their heavy duty towing services multiple times. They are very prompt, friendly, and careful with my vehicle. I would definitely recommend them if you are in a jam.

Right side mid part of vehicle stuck (not the damage I was talking about .

We were stuck on the side of the road and, via AAA, Sky Towing was there within just a few minutes to help us.

Absolutely unbelievable experience with Roadway Towing & Recovery. I was left stranded for nearly…read moreTWO HOURS through my roadside assistance program waiting for a tow truck that never came. After being repeatedly told help was on the way and that arrival would only be a few more minutes, they suddenly canceled the job after I had already waited 1 hour and 45 minutes. When I called, the first employee admitted they were "backed up." I asked the obvious question -- why wasn't I notified an hour earlier instead of being left sitting there wasting my entire afternoon? He said my manager made the decision to cancel you, would you like to speak to her"She kept me waiting on hold for quite sometime probably hoping I would hang up. That conversation was even worse! She talked over me, lacked all basic customer service skills and told me they "never took the tow job". Obviously this was a lie since my insurance company confirmed this business two hours earlier. She told me they were too busy and it would actually be another 2-3 hours. So instead of declining the call honestly from the beginning, they left a stranded customer sitting and waiting with no communication whatsoever. When I tried explaining how unacceptable and irresponsible that was, she actually LAUGHED, sarcastically told me to "have a nice day," and HUNG UP on me. If your company is too overwhelmed to handle roadside calls, then DON'T ACCEPT THEM. Leaving people stranded for hours and then laughing at them on the phone is beyond unprofessional. Absolutely disgusting customer service.

I hired Kevin at Carlsbad Mobile Mechanic to diagnose an issue with my vehicle, at which point he…read moreadvised and recommended a radiator replacement. Before approving the work, I specifically asked in writing whether the parts being used were Nissan OEM or aftermarket. I received a direct response stating: "These are OEM parts." Based on that written confirmation, I agreed to move forward with the repair and payment. After the work was completed, I began experiencing serious issues with my vehicle, including stalling to the point where it was no longer safely drivable. Due to these failures, I had to take my vehicle to Nissan for further inspection. During that inspection, it became clear that the radiator installed was not OEM. Nissan also confirmed that OEM radiators would not present the way this one did, including the absence of proper identification. In addition, the coolant/transmission lines had been modified using generic hoses and clamps--something that would not be necessary with an OEM radiator, which is designed to use factory quick-connect fittings. These findings directly contradict what was promised to me in writing prior to the repair. As a direct result of the improper parts and installation, my vehicle sustained significant damage totaling over $15,000 and became unreliable and unsafe to drive, requiring additional time, expense, and inconvenience to address. When I attempted to resolve the situation, I requested receipts and documentation showing where the parts were purchased. These were not provided. In California, automotive repair providers are required to provide documentation and itemization of parts upon request, including itemized invoices and parts information, yet Kevin failed to do so. Instead, I was told that I was a "nightmare" customer and that I was "giving him a headache." He also attempted to shift blame by suggesting the damage must have been caused by a collision or another shop, despite the timeline and circumstances clearly tied to his work. Since then, my attempts to follow up have been ignored. At no point was I informed of any substitution, nor was I given the opportunity to approve the use of non-OEM parts. The use of OEM components was a key factor in my decision to proceed. When a mechanic diagnoses a repair, recommends replacement, and explicitly confirms OEM parts in writing, there is a clear expectation that those terms will be honored. That did not happen here. I strongly recommend that anyone considering working with Kevin at Carlsbad Mobile Mechanic verify all parts being installed, request documentation, and thoroughly inspect the work before accepting completion.

He came on time and did the repairs. I hired him again and he came on time, did the repairs (oil leak and 2 censors) and was done within an hour and a half and solved all the issues that I've had ongoing with my car. If I would've taken it to a shop it would have been sitting there all day. FYI I have a hybrid and not every one can work on this type of car. Definitely using again.
