I have purchased 3 trailers from Sky Trailers. Two in 2017 and one in 2021. There is no comparison in quality between the years. The 2021 is a total POS. Chinese parts, SAE nuts on metric bolts. 2200# rated tires on 6000# axels. Adam the owner (I think) has a I don't give a F*** attuite. He doesn't care if you are satisficed or not. The money is rolling in and he is producing junk. When talking to him is attuited is take it or leave it. (welcome covid). Its your choice, but my advice is look at the different manufactured trailers before you purchase a SKY trailer sight unseen. They my be more, but you will be getting what you pay for. Just another note, you can't get parts from Sky trailers for their Chinese junk components. Good luck finding them somewhere else. read more

As another yelper has already stated you can get a new trailer here for the price of a used one . Just inspect thoroughly on delivery day for issues that may bother you later . Ordered utility trailer over the phone with spare tire, and paid in full over the phone, Went in to pick it up on promised date , they pulled it out front and NO spare tire. Also screws that held down wood flooring were way too long and unsightly. They had to pull in back in the shop to install missing spare so I had them trim/grind off excessive length screws. I bought a 24ft enclosed trailer from these guys. It had cheap Chinese tires. After 3000 miles, one of them lost its tread and ruined the trim on the trailer. I had made sure the air pressures were always good but it separated anyway. I replaced all 5 tires with good ones. I went back to see if they would give me some free trim but they wanted to charge me. Bottom line, you get what you pay for; so buyer beware. Maybe a used quality trailer would have been a better buy. read more

I would like to give this company a 1.5 if I could. Because whomever welded the trailer frame did a good job. Sadly, everything else fell short. I was made to feel a bit guilty for only ordering their barebones flatbed dual axle trailer. Evidently they make very little profit, and they let you know. I took delivery later than expected, as I clearly stated in the paperwork no stain on the wood deck. They did......... Instead of just unscrewing it, they made me wait yet another week. Again, so little profit. Can't spend any time to correct it.. As I was leaving, I noticed they did not include the ramps I'd paid for. So they slid in a rusted out pair that looked like they sat out in their fab yard. No paint. As I was leaving, I could not get the electric brakes to adequately operate. Came back and their lead guy actually took me around in my truck, maxing out the controller to show me " they just need to warm up" ...... Let that sink in..... I went onto their axle manufacture website, Dexter Axle. It clearly shows correct wire gauge sizes to operate their electric brakes. Sky doesn't even use the minimum gauge. This has since been corrected. By the way, their wiring uses a lot of those piggyback connectors. Most connections were not taped. They only paint the metal that is visible. If you park on concrete be warned that you will have rust stains from their less than adequate coverage. I found this out after it rained. Removed all the wood, and painted the raw steel.... I actually chose to wait to write this review, until I received my plate from DMV. This is actually the last and to me the most vital part. The registration tag from the State clearly states an unladen weight 2,100 lbs. Yet, on the VIN tag, located on the frame of the trailer, it clearly states that the cargo load should not exceed 5,400 lbs! That's 500 pounds over the max weight the axles are rated for (3,500 lbs each) . I was told by Sky this trailer delivered from them, weighs about 1,600 lbs. Then why does it show 2,100 on the official registration? Sad. Because if I ever get pulled over, and am ordered to a scale, I doubt they will care if I told them " well, that's what SKY told me and that's what's on the VIN"...... For my own piece of mind, as I cannot trust their word, I'll go and have it weighed on a certified scale. read more

My first experience with ordering and purchasing completely over the phone and online. Adam was super responsive returning a call/text within a 24 hour period. I had them build me a custom 24' enclosed trailer built 1' over and a walk on roof. It is a thing of beauty that was delivered to my door an hour north of Sacramento. The trailer is quality built compared to every trailer company around these parts and cheaper than a TPD with similar quality. There were only a few hang ups, rain delays in SoCal caused the delivery date to be pushed back. That's not Sky's fault. The only complaint is Sky installed tires that were not rated for the load capacity. I had two flats within a week caused from rocks that penetrated thru the tread pattern. I had to replace the tires due to this. I did not speak to Adam about this so in his defense I'm pretty sure he would have taken care of it. They catered to me and had the trailer at my door looking great. You can't match the quality and customization for the price. I will be ordering a 20', 1' over with walk on roof, full height ramp, drive on wheel wells, V-nose and flipped axles next. Thank you Sky and Adam! read more

I purchased a new 8x10 dump trailer and all was good upon picking up the trailer. I was running a little late to get there so o didn't really have the time to thoroughly inspect before picking it up but I wish I had. The finance part was really easy but the quality of the build is really lacking. It has spots where they just didn't paint it and welds that look terribly weak. Plus I'm going to have to take it to a shop and figure out why they left an open port in my dump cylinder that I'm pretty sure should at least be plugged. Sky builds a very nice trailer. I had an issue with the brakes and not knowing the brakes/axles were warranted separate it took a while to resolve it. I was working with Adam and he finally explained the warranty. Adam was very good on issuing a refund even though Sky was not responsible for that. He explained that I probably would have to end up suing the axle manufacturers. They (the manufacturers) claimed it was my fault the brakes failed. I might add they did take care of any issues on the trailer which were minor. Still waiting for the matching spare which is suppose to arrive tomorrow. They did supply a spare in the interim. I will start by saying the quality of my 24 foot cargo trailer is great! its well put together and I am very happy with it. I ordered this trailer 3 months before I needed it, due to high demand and the current COVID BS. I called every 2 weeks for the last 2 months to make sure it was going to be on time. I was told it would be ready for pick up, I drove 2 hours up to get it, and it was not ready, drove 2 hours home with out my trailer! BUMMER! Six months later, spend $3,000 to fix the trailer axels, brakes and the trailer lights stopped working. The warranty is useless and they don't honor it. there are plenty of other honest trailer dealers around. I just regret having ever dealt with sky trailers. read more

I must say the quaily of workmanship to customize your trailer to fit your needs is bar none ahead of any competition (Sky Trailer don't have any competition to speak of). His Team takes pride to perform on everyone trailer they build for you. FYI: Make sure you have security in order to protect your new trailer because we had our new trailer stolen weeks after getting it. We did have a tow lock on the trailer but the thieves wanted it more and cut it off. These guys deserve a ten start rating in my book! read more

In January 2021 I placed an order for a 20 foot trailer and put a deposit with an estimated date of delivery for end of March. I never heard from anybody so I was calling monthly to find out the status and was told different stories from different people because ships were out in the ocean they didn't have the material to finish the trailer. It was started and they even said they would put me to the front of the delivery line since my order was from January and promised by end of March April. Around June I was told that there would be an additional $3000 added to the original price I was quoted. I had an agreement signed by them showing with the trailer cost and they said I could either take it and pay the additional 3000 or they would refund my deposit with no penalty. I told them that was not what was agreed-upon and I had the written paperwork for it and they said I could take it or leave it. I am a senior citizen and believe this was in breach of their agreement and really didn't want to get an attorney for something so ridiculous on their part and just took my refund. What is a person to do when you have a business that Goes back on their agreement. Be careful this is really crooked. read more

Response to this childish reply: they say the trailer was ready for weeks! I had to call over and over to try and get my trailer and they had nothing but excuses. Oh the finance guys is not here, or let me get ahold of a driver. Then they would never call me back. I never once got loud or angry like she said, she is rude and an absolute liar! I was never on vacation and they never once tried to deliver my trailer. You order a custom trailer and they offer a certain item when you make the order, it should be as ordered when ready.
